Psalmi 109
Biblija: suvremeni hrvatski prijevod
Molitva protiv neprijatelja
Voditelju zbora. Davidova pjesma.
109 Slavim te, Bože!
Čuj me i ne šuti!
2 Zli ljudi lažu protiv mene,
govore što nije istina.
3 Obasipaju me riječima mržnje,
bez razloga me napadaju.
4 Volio sam ih, a oni me optužuju,
dok ja za njih govorim molitvu.
5 Za dobro, vraćaju mi zlo,
mržnju za prijateljstvo.
6 Kažu: »Odredi mu zlog suca
i neka ga njegov branitelj optuži.
7 Neka ga sud proglasi krivim,
čak i za njegove molitve.
8 Neka mu život bude kratak,
a drugi mu službu preuzme.
9 Neka mu djeca budu siročad,
a žena neka mu je udovica.
10 Neka mu djeca skitaju i prose,
iz ruševnog doma neka ih tjeraju.
11 Neka mu vjerovnici uzmu sve što ima,
a stranci preuzmu sve za što se trudio.
12 Neka mu se nitko ne smiluje,
neka njegovu siročad ne žale.
13 Neka mu obitelj propadne,
a ime nestane već u drugom pokoljenju.
14 Neka BOG pamti krivnju njegovog oca,
grijeh njegove majke neka se ne briše.
15 Neka stalno budu krivi pred BOGOM,
a sjećanje na njih neka nestane.«
16 O meni govore: »Nikad nije bio dobar.
Progonio je, ubijao siromašne i jadne.
17 Druge je proklinjao
pa neka je sâm proklet.
Blagoslov nije davao
pa neka se ne daje ni njemu.
18 Svakog dana izgovarao je kletve,
kao da vodu pije ili se uljem maže.
19 Neka ga kletve cijelog prekriju
i opašu ga poput pojasa.«
20 Tako su rekli moji neprijatelji,
ali neka ih BOG baš tako kazni.
21 A ti se, BOŽE i Gospodaru moj,
za mene zauzmi, u čast svog imena.
Spasi me zbog svoje vjerne ljubavi.
22 Jer, siromašan sam i jadan,
srce mi je slomljeno.
23 Nestajem kao večernja sjena,
otpuhan sam kao kukac.
24 Koljena mi klecaju od posta,
tijelo mi je sâma kost i koža.
25 Rugaju mi se oni koji me optužuju,
kad me vide, glavom odmahuju.
26 Pomozi mi, BOŽE, Gospodaru moj,
spasi me zbog svoje vjerne ljubavi.
27 I neka svi znaju da si to učinio,
da si ti, BOŽE, onaj koji me spasio.
28 Oni proklinju, a ti daješ blagoslov.
Kada napadnu, porazi ih!
Daj da se raduje tvoj sluga.
29 Ponizi moje protivnike,
neka budu javno osramoćeni.
30 Hvalospjeve pjevam BOGU,
pred svima ga slavim.
31 Jer, on čuva bespomoćne,
izbavlja ih od smrtne osude.
Psalm 109
King James Version
109 Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;
2 For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.
3 They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.
4 For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.
5 And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
6 Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.
7 When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.
8 Let his days be few; and let another take his office.
9 Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
10 Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.
11 Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.
12 Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.
13 Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the Lord; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
15 Let them be before the Lord continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.
16 Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.
17 As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.
18 As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.
19 Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.
20 Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the Lord, and of them that speak evil against my soul.
21 But do thou for me, O God the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.
22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
23 I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.
24 My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.
25 I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.
26 Help me, O Lord my God: O save me according to thy mercy:
27 That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, Lord, hast done it.
28 Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.
29 Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.
30 I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.
31 For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.
Psalm 109
New King James Version
Plea for Judgment of False Accusers
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
109 Do(A) not keep silent,
O God of my praise!
2 For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful
Have opened against me;
They have spoken against me with a (B)lying tongue.
3 They have also surrounded me with words of hatred,
And fought against me (C)without a cause.
4 In return for my love they are my accusers,
But I give myself to prayer.
5 Thus (D)they have rewarded me evil for good,
And hatred for my love.
6 Set a wicked man over him,
And let (E)an [a]accuser stand at his right hand.
7 When he is judged, let him be found guilty,
And (F)let his prayer become sin.
8 Let his days be (G)few,
And (H)let another take his office.
9 (I)Let his children be fatherless,
And his wife a widow.
10 Let his children [b]continually be vagabonds, and beg;
Let them [c]seek their bread also from their desolate places.
11 (J)Let the creditor seize all that he has,
And let strangers plunder his labor.
12 Let there be none to extend mercy to him,
Nor let there be any to favor his fatherless children.
13 (K)Let his [d]posterity be cut off,
And in the generation following let their (L)name be blotted out.
14 (M)Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the Lord,
And let not the sin of his mother (N)be blotted out.
15 Let them be continually before the Lord,
That He may (O)cut off the memory of them from the earth;
16 Because he did not remember to show mercy,
But persecuted the poor and needy man,
That he might even slay the (P)broken in heart.
17 (Q)As he loved cursing, so let it come to him;
As he did not delight in blessing, so let it be far from him.
18 As he clothed himself with cursing as with his garment,
So let it (R)enter his body like water,
And like oil into his bones.
19 Let it be to him like the garment which covers him,
And for a belt with which he girds himself continually.
20 Let this be the Lord’s reward to my accusers,
And to those who speak evil against my person.
21 But You, O God the Lord,
Deal with me for Your name’s sake;
Because Your mercy is good, deliver me.
22 For I am poor and needy,
And my heart is wounded within me.
23 I am gone (S)like a shadow when it lengthens;
I am shaken off like a locust.
24 My (T)knees are weak through fasting,
And my flesh is feeble from lack of fatness.
25 I also have become (U)a reproach to them;
When they look at me, (V)they shake their heads.
26 Help me, O Lord my God!
Oh, save me according to Your mercy,
27 (W)That they may know that this is Your hand—
That You, Lord, have done it!
28 (X)Let them curse, but You bless;
When they arise, let them be ashamed,
But let (Y)Your servant rejoice.
29 (Z)Let my accusers be clothed with shame,
And let them cover themselves with their own disgrace as with a mantle.
30 I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth;
Yes, (AA)I will praise Him among the multitude.
31 For (AB)He shall stand at the right hand of the poor,
To save him from those [e]who condemn him.
