108  神啊!我的心坚定;

琴和瑟啊!你们都要醒过来;

因为你的慈爱伟大,高及诸天;

 神啊!愿你被尊崇,过于诸天;

基列是我的,玛拿西是我的;

以法莲是我的头盔;

摩押是我的洗脚盆;

108 (Shir. Mizmor of Dovid) O Elohim, my lev is nachon; I will sing and make music, even with my kavod (glory, soul).

(3) Awake, nevel and kinnor; I will awaken the shachar (dawn).

(4) I will praise Thee, Hashem, among the peoples; and I will sing praises unto Thee among the nations.

(5) For Thy chesed is gadol above Shomayim; and Thy emes reacheth unto the clouds.

(6) Be Thou exalted, Elohim, above Shomayim; and Thy kavod above kol ha’aretz;

(7) That Thy beloved may be delivered; hoshiah (save) with Thy Yamin, and answer me.

(8) Elohim hath spoken in His Kodesh; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the Valley of Sukkot.

(9) Gil‘ad is Mine; Menasheh is Mine; Ephrayim also is the maoz of Mine rosh; Yehudah is My mechokek (lawgiver);

(10) Moav is My washbasin; over Edom will I toss My na’al (sandal); over Philistia will I shout in triumph.

10 (11) Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will lead me into Edom?

11 (12) Wilt not Thou, Elohim, Who hast cast us off? And wilt not Thou, Elohim, go forth with our Tzivos?

12 (13) Give us help against the enemy; for vain is the teshuat adam (help of man).

13 (14) Through Elohim we shall do valiantly; for He it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Psalm 108

A Plea for Victory

A song. A Davidic psalm.

My heart is confident, God;[a]
I will sing; I will sing praises
with the whole of my being.[b](A)
Wake up, harp and lyre!
I will wake up the dawn.(B)
I will praise You, Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to You among the nations.(C)
For Your faithful love is higher than the heavens,
and Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.(D)
God, be exalted above the heavens,(E)
and let Your glory be over the whole earth.(F)
Save with Your right hand and answer me
so that those You love may be rescued.(G)

God has spoken in His sanctuary:[c]
“I will triumph!
I will divide up Shechem.(H)
I will apportion the Valley of Succoth.(I)
Gilead is Mine, Manasseh is Mine,
and Ephraim is My helmet;(J)
Judah is My scepter.(K)
Moab is My washbasin;(L)
I throw My sandal on Edom.(M)
I shout in triumph over Philistia.”(N)

10 Who will bring me to the fortified city?
Who will lead me to Edom?(O)
11 God, haven’t You rejected us?
God, You do not march out with our armies.(P)
12 Give us aid against the foe,
for human help is worthless.(Q)
13 With God we will perform valiantly;(R)
He will trample our foes.(S)

Molitva za pomoć u borbi protiv neprijatelja

Davidova pjesma.

108 Spreman sam i odlučan, Bože,
    cijelim bićem, glazbom tebe slaviti.
Neka se probude harfa i lira,
    neka zora budna ustane!
Zahvaljivat ću ti, BOŽE, pred svima,
    psalme o tebi pjevati narodima.
Jer, ljubav je tvoja viša od nebesa,
    tvoja vjernost seže do oblaka.
Bože, uzvišen si nad nebesima
    i cijela zemlja gleda tvoju slavu.
Pomozi nam svojom silnom snagom
    dok molim da se tvoji vjerni spase.

Bog je rekao u svom Hramu:
    »Pobijedit ću i podijeliti zemlju.
    Dat ću im grad Šekem i dolinu Sukot.
Gilead i Manaše su moji.
    Efrajim je kaciga koja glavu čuva,
    a Juda moja vladarska palica.
Moab mi je posuda za pranje nogu,
    preko Edoma bacam sandalu[a],
    nad Filistejom, slavim pobjedu.«

10 Tko će me uvesti u utvrđeni grad?
    Tko će me voditi u Edom?
11 Zar si nas napustio, Bože?
    Ne predvodiš li ti naše vojske?
12 Pomozi nam protiv neprijatelja
    jer ljudska pomoć je bezvrijedna.
13 Bog gazi naše neprijatelje,
    s njim idemo do pobjede.
