上帝恩待祂的子民(A)
106 你们要赞美耶和华！
要称谢耶和华，
因为祂是美善的，
祂的慈爱永远长存！
2 谁能述说耶和华的大能作为？
谁能道尽祂当受赞美之处？
3 那些行事公正，
持守公义的人有福了。
4 耶和华啊！
你恩待你子民的时候，
求你别忘了我；
你拯救他们的时候，
求你帮助我，
5 使我看到你所拣选的人繁荣昌盛，
与他们同乐，
与你的子民一同夸耀。
6 我们跟祖先一样也犯了罪，
行事邪恶。
7 我们祖先在埃及漠视你行的神迹，
忘记你向他们屡施慈爱，
在红海边反叛你。
8 但祂为了自己的名拯救了他们，
以彰显祂的大能。
9 祂斥责红海，海就干了，
祂带领他们走过深渊，
如履干地。
10 祂救他们逃脱敌人的追赶，
从仇敌的手中救赎了他们。

SALMO 106 (105)
106 ¡Alabemos a nuestro Dios!
¡Démosle gracias porque él es bueno!
¡Dios nunca deja de amarnos!
2 ¡Nadie es capaz de describir
los milagros que Dios ha hecho!
¡Nadie puede alabarlo
como él se lo merece!
3 ¡Dios bendice a los que son justos
y aman la justicia!
4 Dios, acuérdate de mí
cuando muestres tu bondad a tu pueblo;
tómame en cuenta
cuando vengas a salvarnos.
5 Permíteme cantarte alabanzas
en compañía de tu pueblo elegido;
¡permíteme disfrutar
de su bienestar y alegría!
6 Nosotros hemos pecado,
hemos hecho lo malo;
hemos sido muy malvados,
como nuestros padres y abuelos.
7 Cuando ellos estaban en Egipto,
no tomaron en cuenta tus grandes hechos;
no tuvieron presente tu gran amor,
y a la orilla del Mar de los Juncos
se rebelaron contra ti.
8 Pero tú los salvaste
para que vieran tu gran poder
y te alabaran.
9 El Mar de los Juncos quedó seco
cuando oyó tu reprensión;
tú hiciste que nuestros abuelos
cruzaran el fondo del mar
como si cruzaran el desierto.
10-11 Sus enemigos los odiaban,
pero murieron ahogados en el mar.
Tú los libraste de ellos;
¡ningún egipcio quedó con vida!
12 Entonces nuestros padres
creyeron en tus promesas
y te cantaron alabanzas;
13 pero al poco tiempo
se olvidaron de tus hechos
y no esperaron a conocer
los planes que tenías.
14 Eran tantas sus ganas de comer
que allí, en pleno desierto,
te pusieron a prueba
y te exigieron comida.
15 Y tú los complaciste,
pero también les enviaste
una enfermedad mortal.
16-17 Cuando estaban en el desierto,
los que seguían a Datán y a Abiram
sintieron envidia de Moisés,
y también sintieron celos de Aarón,
a quien tú habías elegido;
pero se abrió la tierra
y se tragó a todos los rebeldes;
18 ¡llamas de fuego cayeron
sobre esa pandilla de malvados!
19 Nuestros abuelos
llegaron al monte Horeb,
y allí hicieron un ídolo;
¡adoraron un toro de metal!
20 Dejaron de adorar a Dios,
que era su motivo de orgullo,
para adorar la imagen de un toro.
21-22 Dios hizo grandes maravillas
frente al Mar de los Juncos:
¡los salvó de los egipcios!
Pero ellos se olvidaron de él,
23 y tan enojado se puso Dios
que quiso destruirlos.
Moisés, su elegido,
intervino en favor de ellos
y calmó el enojo de Dios
para que no los destruyera.
24 Pero ellos rechazaron
la tierra que Dios les dio
y no confiaron en sus promesas.
25 Dentro de sus casas
hablaron mal de su Dios
y no quisieron obedecerlo.
26 Dios les advirtió
que los dejaría morir en el desierto,
27 y que a sus descendientes
también los haría morir,
o que los dispersaría
por todos los pueblos y países.
28 Pero ellos prefirieron
adorar al dios Baal
de la ciudad de Pegor,
y comieron de las ofrendas
que se hacen a dioses muertos.
29 Con esas malas acciones
hicieron enojar a Dios,
y él les mandó un terrible castigo.
30 Pero un hombre llamado Finees
intervino en favor de ellos
y logró que Dios no los castigara.
31 Por eso Finees
será siempre recordado
por este acto de justicia.
32 Junto a las aguas de Meribá
los israelitas hicieron enojar a Dios,
y por culpa de ellos
le fue muy mal a Moisés;
33 tanto le amargaron el ánimo
que Moisés no midió sus palabras.
34-35 Dios les había ordenado
destruir a los otros pueblos,
pero ellos no lo obedecieron.
¡Todo lo contrario!
Se mezclaron con ellos
y siguieron sus costumbres;
36 adoraron a sus ídolos
y se volvieron sus seguidores.
37-38 ¡Mancharon la tierra
al derramar sangre inocente!
¡Entregaron a sus hijos y a sus hijas
como ofrenda a esos demonios!
39 Al cometer tales acciones,
se corrompieron a sí mismos
y resultaron culpables.
40 Dios se enojó mucho con ellos
y acabó por aborrecerlos.
41-42 Por eso los dejó caer
en poder de sus enemigos
para que los humillaran
y los maltrataran.
43 Muchas veces Dios los liberó;
pero ellos, siempre rebeldes,
insistieron en seguir pecando.
44 Dios los vio tan angustiados,
y los escuchó quejarse tanto,
45 que cambió de parecer.
Su amor lo hizo acordarse
de su pacto con los israelitas,
46 e hizo que sus enemigos
les tuvieran compasión.
47 Dios nuestro, ¡sálvanos!
¡Permítenos volver a nuestra tierra,
para que te demos gracias
y te alabemos como nuestro Dios!

Israel Forgets
Introduction
1 Praise the Lord.[a]
Give thanks to the Lord,
for he is good,
for his mercy endures forever.
2 Who can tell about the mighty deeds of the Lord?
Who can cause all his praise to be heard?
3 Blessed are those who defend justice,
who do what is right all the time.
4 Remember me, O Lord,
when you show favor to your people.
Visit me with your salvation,
5 so that I may experience the good that belongs to your chosen ones,
so that I may rejoice in the joy of your nation,
so that I may join in praise with the people that belongs to you.
Rebellion in Egypt
6 We have sinned along with our fathers.
We have become guilty. We have acted wickedly.
7 Our fathers in Egypt did not reflect on your wonders.
They did not remember your abundant mercies,
so they rebelled beside the sea, by the Red Sea.
God’s Grace
8 Nevertheless, he saved them for his name’s sake,
to make his might known.
9 Then he rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up.
He caused them to go through the deep sea as if it were a desert.
10 He saved them from the hand of the one who hated them.
He redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 Then the waters covered their foes.
Not one of them remained.
12 Then they believed his words. They sang his praise.
Rebellions in the Wilderness
13 They quickly forgot his deeds.
They did not wait for his plan.
14 Because they were filled with craving in the wilderness,
they challenged God in the wasteland.
15 So he gave them what they asked for,
but he made them sick so they wasted away.
16 Then they grew jealous of Moses in the camp
and of Aaron, who was holy to the Lord.
17 The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan,
and it closed over the followers of Abiram.
18 Then fire burned up their followers.
Flames consumed the wicked.
19 They made a calf at Horeb,
and they bowed down to a thing cast from metal.
20 So they exchanged their Glory for a model of an ox that eats grass.
21 They forgot the God who saved them
by doing great things in Egypt,
22 wonders in the land of Ham,
awesome deeds beside the Red Sea.
God’s Grace
23 So he said he would destroy them.
But Moses, his chosen one, stood between God and the people
to turn aside his wrath, so it did not destroy them.
More Rebellions in the Wilderness
24 Then they refused the pleasant land.
They did not believe his word.
25 They grumbled in their tents.
They did not listen to the voice of the Lord.
26 So he lifted up his hand and swore to them
that he would make them fall in the wilderness,
27 and make their descendants fall among the nations,
and he would scatter them throughout the lands.
28 Then they yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor,
and they ate sacrifices offered to dead gods.
29 They provoked the Lord by their actions,
and a plague broke out among them.
30 But Phinehas stood up and interceded for them,
and the plague was restrained.
31 So this was credited to him as righteousness
for generation after generation, to eternity.
32 Again by the waters of Meribah they provoked the Lord,
and trouble came on Moses because of them.
33 Because they rebelled against his Spirit,[b]
Moses spoke recklessly with his lips.
Rebellion Continues in the Land
34 They did not destroy the peoples
as the Lord had commanded them,
35 but they mixed with the nations,
and they learned to do what the nations did.
36 They also served their idols,
and the idols became a snare for them.
37 They also sacrificed their sons and daughters to demons.
38 They shed innocent blood,
the blood of their sons and daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan.
So the land was polluted by their children’s blood,
39 and they made themselves unclean by what they did.
They prostituted themselves by their actions.
The Judgment
40 Therefore the Lord burned with anger against his people,
and he loathed the people who belonged to him.
41 So he handed them over to the nations,
and those who hated them ruled over them.
42 Then their enemies oppressed them,
and they had to submit to their power.
43 Many times he delivered them,
but they deliberately rebelled,
and they sank down in their guilt.
God’s Grace
44 But he looked on them in their distress when he heard their outcry.
45 So for their sake he remembered his covenant.
Because of his great mercy, he changed his course.
46 Then he caused all their captors to have pity on them.
Closing Prayer
47 Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from the nations,
so that we may give thanks to your holy name and praise you confidently.
Closing Doxology
48 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from eternity to eternity,
and all the people say, “Amen!”
Praise the Lord.
