頌讚之歌
33 義人啊，
你們要歡然歌頌耶和華，
正直的人理應讚美祂。
2 你們要彈琴讚美耶和華，
彈奏十弦琴讚美祂。
3 要為祂唱新歌，
琴聲要美妙，歌聲要嘹亮。
4 因為耶和華的話是真理，
祂的作為信實可靠。
5 祂喜愛公平正義，
大地充滿祂的慈愛。
6 諸天靠祂的話而造，
群星靠祂口中的氣而成。
7 祂將海水聚在一處，把汪洋收進倉庫。
8 願普世都敬畏耶和華！
願世人都尊崇祂！
9 因為祂一發話，就創造了天地；
祂一命令，就立定了萬物。
10 祂挫敗列國的謀算，
攔阻列邦的計劃。
11 祂的計劃永不落空，
祂的旨意萬代長存。
12 尊祂為上帝的邦國有福了！
蒙揀選做祂子民的人有福了！
13 祂從天上俯視人間，
14 從祂的居所察看世上萬民。
15 祂塑造人心，
洞察人的一切行為。
16 君王不能靠兵多取勝，
勇士不能憑力大獲救。
17 靠戰馬取勝實屬妄想，
馬雖力大也不能救人。
18 但耶和華看顧敬畏祂、仰望祂慈愛的人。
19 祂救他們脫離死亡，
保護他們度過饑荒。
20 我們仰望耶和華，
祂是我們的幫助，
是我們的盾牌。
21 我們信靠祂的聖名，
我們的心因祂而充滿喜樂。
22 耶和華啊，我們仰望你，求你向我們施慈愛。

Psalm 33
1 Als je leeft zoals God het wil,
juich dan over de Heer!
Zing dankliederen voor Hem!
2 Loof de Heer met de harp.
Speel liederen voor Hem op allerlei muziekinstrumenten.
3 Zing een nieuw lied voor Hem.
Maak vrolijke muziek en zing er luid bij.
4 Want wat de Heer zegt, is te vertrouwen.
Aan alles wat Hij doet, is te zien dat Hij trouw is.
5 Hij houdt van rechtvaardigheid.
Aan alles op aarde is te zien dat de Heer goed en vol liefde is.
6 De hemel is gemaakt door het woord van de Heer.
De zon, de maan en de sterren ontstonden door één woord van Hem.
7 Hij bepaalde de grenzen van de zee.
Het water van de oceanen verzamelde zich
op de plaatsen die Hij had aangewezen.
8 Laat iedereen op aarde ontzag hebben voor de Heer.
Laten alle mensen diep ontzag voor Hem hebben.
9 Want door één enkel woord heeft Hij alles gemaakt.
Hij sprak en het was er.
10 Volken maken plannen,
maar de Heer zorgt ervoor dat daar niets van terecht komt.
11 Want wat de Heer van plan is, zal ook gebeuren.
Door de eeuwen heen worden al zijn plannen werkelijkheid.
12 Het is heerlijk voor een volk als de Heer zijn God is.
Het is heerlijk voor een land als het door Hem is uitgekozen om zijn eigendom te zijn.
13 De Heer ziet vanuit de hemel alle mensen.
14 Vanuit zijn huis kijkt Hij
naar de bewoners van de aarde.
15 Hij heeft hen allemaal gemaakt.
Hij weet alles wat ze doen.
16 Als koningen winnen,
komt dat niet door hun machtige leger.
Helden winnen niet omdat ze zo sterk zijn.
17 Paarden zorgen niet voor de overwinning,
hoe sterk ze ook zijn.
18 Het is de Heer die de overwinning geeft.
Hij is het die zorgt voor de mensen
die diep ontzag voor Hem hebben en die op Hem vertrouwen.
19 Want Hij is goed en liefdevol.
Als er hongersnood is, houdt Hij hen in leven.
20 We vertrouwen op de Heer.
Hij beschermt ons als een schild en helpt ons altijd.
21 We zijn blij over Hem.
We vertrouwen op Hem.
22 Heer, wees alstublieft goed voor ons,
want we vertrouwen op U.

Psalm 33
1 Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous:
for praise is comely for the upright.
2 Praise the Lord with harp:
sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
3 Sing unto him a new song;
play skilfully with a loud noise.
4 For the word of the Lord is right;
and all his works are done in truth.
5 He loveth righteousness and judgment:
the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made;
and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap:
he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord:
let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
9 For he spake, and it was done;
he commanded, and it stood fast.
10 The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought:
he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever,
the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord;
and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
13 The Lord looketh from heaven;
he beholdeth all the sons of men.
14 From the place of his habitation
he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
15 He fashioneth their hearts alike;
he considereth all their works.
16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host:
a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
17 An horse is a vain thing for safety:
neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him,
upon them that hope in his mercy;
19 to deliver their soul from death,
and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord:
he is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in him,
because we have trusted in his holy name.
22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
according as we hope in thee.
