Poder y gloria del Señor
Salmo de David.
29 ¡Rindan al Señor, seres celestiales;
rindan al Señor la gloria y el poder!
2 ¡Ríndanle la gloria digna de su nombre!
¡Adoren al Señor en su santuario hermoso!(A)
3 La voz del Señor resuena sobre las aguas.
El Dios de la gloria hace oír su voz.
El Señor está sobre las muchas aguas.
4 La voz del Señor es potente.
La voz del Señor es majestuosa.
5 La voz del Señor desgaja los cedros;
¡el Señor desgaja los cedros del Líbano!
6 ¡Su voz hace que los montes Líbano y Sirión
salten como becerros, como búfalos pequeños!
7 La voz del Señor lanza llamas de fuego.
8 La voz del Señor hace temblar al desierto;
el Señor hace temblar al desierto de Cades.
9 La voz del Señor desgaja las encinas
y deja los árboles sin hojas,
mientras en su templo todos proclaman su gloria.
10 El Señor es el rey eterno;
¡él ocupa su trono sobre las aguas!
11 El Señor infunde poder a su pueblo
y lo bendice con la paz.

A psalm of David.
1 Ascribe to the Lord,(A) you heavenly beings,(B)
ascribe to the Lord glory(C) and strength.
2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
worship the Lord in the splendor of his[a] holiness.(D)
3 The voice(E) of the Lord is over the waters;
the God of glory(F) thunders,(G)
the Lord thunders over the mighty waters.(H)
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful;(I)
the voice of the Lord is majestic.
5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.(J)
6 He makes Lebanon leap(K) like a calf,
Sirion[b](L) like a young wild ox.(M)
7 The voice of the Lord strikes
with flashes of lightning.(N)
8 The voice of the Lord shakes the desert;
the Lord shakes the Desert of Kadesh.(O)
9 The voice of the Lord twists the oaks[c](P)
and strips the forests bare.
And in his temple all cry, “Glory!”(Q)

Herrens ära och makt
29 En psalm av David.
Ge Herren, ni Guds söner,
ge Herren ära och makt!
2 Ära honom för hans härliga namn!
Böj er inför Herren i helig skrud[a].
3 Herrens röst hörs över vattnen,
Gud, den upphöjde, dundrar.
Herrens röst hörs över de stora vattnen.
4 Herrens röst är väldig,
Herrens röst är praktfull.
5 Herrens röst knäcker cedrar,
Herren knäcker Libanons cedrar.
6 Han får Libanon att hoppa som en kalv
och Sirjon som en vildoxe.
7 Herrens röst slår med ljungande blixtar.
8 Herrens röst skakar öknen,
Herren skakar Kadeshöknen.
9 Herrens röst får hindarna att kalva,
den klär av träden i skogarna.
Allting i hans tempel ropar: ”Ära!”
10 Herren satt på sin tron vid syndafloden,
Herren sitter på sin tron för evigt.
11 Herren ger sitt folk styrka.
Herren välsignar sitt folk med frid.

29 Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.
2 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
5 The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.
6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.
7 The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire.
8 The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.
10 The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever.
11 The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
