耶和華的聲音充滿能力;

Salmo de David.

29 Tributen al Señor, seres celestiales;[a]
    tributen al Señor la gloria y el poder.
Tributen al Señor la gloria que merece su nombre;
    adoren al Señor en la hermosura de su santidad.

La voz del Señor está sobre las aguas;
    resuena el trueno del Dios de la gloria;
    el Señor está sobre las aguas impetuosas.
La voz del Señor resuena potente;
    la voz del Señor resuena majestuosa.
La voz del Señor desgaja los cedros;
    desgaja el Señor los cedros del Líbano;
hace que el Líbano salte como becerro
    y que el Sirión[b] salte cual toro salvaje.
La voz del Señor destruye
    con rayos de fuego;
la voz del Señor sacude el desierto;
    el Señor sacude el desierto de Cades.
La voz del Señor retuerce los robles[c]
    y deja desnudos los bosques;
    en su Templo todos gritan: «¡Gloria!».

10 El Señor tiene su trono sobre el diluvio;
    el Señor reina por siempre.
11 El Señor fortalece a su pueblo;
    el Señor bendice a su pueblo con la paz.

  3. Psalm 29:9 Or Lord makes the deer give birth

This is a song that David wrote.

The storm[a]

29 All you angels in heaven,
    say how great the Lord is!
Say that the Lord rules with power!
Say that the Lord's name is great!
Worship the Lord for who he is,
    and remember that he is holy.
The voice of the Lord shouts over the water.
The God of glory makes the noise of thunder.
The Lord appears over the great sea.[b]
The Lord's voice is powerful.
    It has the authority of a king!
When the Lord shouts,
    even the cedar trees break!
Yes! The Lord breaks the great cedar trees of Lebanon.[c]
He makes Lebanon jump like a calf.
He causes Hermon mountain to shake
    like a young bull jumps.
The Lord's voice makes fire
    like lightning in the sky.
When the Lord shouts,
    the desert shakes!
He makes the Kadesh desert shake!
When the Lord shouts,
    the big oak trees bend over.
The leaves fall off all the trees in the forests.
But in his temple,
    everyone says, ‘He is great!’
10 The Lord rules as king over the deep waters.[d]
    The Lord will be king for ever.
11 The Lord makes his people strong.
The Lord blesses his people with peace.

Footnotes

  1. 29:1 David saw a great storm, and this showed him the power of God. He saw the lightning and he heard the thunder. The storm came from the Mediterranean Sea to the mountains of Lebanon. It went from there to Hermon mountain, then down south to the Kadesh desert.
  2. 29:3 The great sea was probably the Mediterranean Sea.
  3. 29:5 Lebanon was famous for cedar trees. They were very big trees.
  4. 29:10 ‘the deep waters’ probably mean the flood that God sent to destroy people in Noah's time. See Genesis 6.
