大衛的勝利之歌
耶和華的僕人大衛的詩，交給樂長。當時耶和華從眾仇敵和掃羅手中拯救了他，他向耶和華吟唱此詩。
18 耶和華啊，你是我的力量，
我愛你。
2 耶和華是我的磐石，我的堡壘，我的拯救者；
我的上帝是保護我的磐石，
我的盾牌，
是拯救我的力量，我的堡壘。
3 我求告當受頌讚的耶和華，
祂救我脫離仇敵。
4 死亡的鎖鏈曾纏住我，
罪惡的狂流曾淹沒我。
5 陰間的繩索曾捆綁我，
死亡的陷阱曾威脅我。
6 在苦難中我呼求耶和華，
向我的上帝求助。
祂從殿中垂聽我的呼求，
我的聲音達到祂耳中。
7 祂一發怒，大地震動，
山的根基搖晃。
8 祂的鼻孔冒煙，
口噴烈焰和火炭。
9 祂撥開雲天，腳踩密雲，
親自降臨。
10 祂乘著基路伯天使飛翔，
乘著風的翅膀疾馳。
11 祂藏身於黑暗中，
四圍以密雲作幔幕。
12 從祂面前的榮光中，
冰雹和火炭衝破雲層。
13 耶和華在天上打雷，
至高者發出的聲音響徹在冰雹和火炭中。
14 祂射出利箭驅散仇敵，
發出閃電擊潰他們。
15 耶和華啊，你斥責一聲，
鼻孔一吹氣，海底就顯現，
大地也露出根基。
16 祂從高天伸手抓住我，
從深淵中把我拉上來。
17 祂救我脫離強敵，
脫離我無法戰勝的仇敵。
18 他們在我危難之時攻擊我，
但耶和華扶持我。
19 祂拯救我，領我到寬闊之地，
因為祂喜悅我。
20 耶和華因我公義而善待我，
因我清白而賞賜我，
21 因為我堅守祂的道，
沒有作惡背棄我的上帝。
22 我遵守祂的一切法令，
沒有把祂的律例棄置一旁。
23 我在祂面前純全無過，
沒有沾染罪惡。
24 耶和華因我公義、
在祂面前清白而獎賞我。
25 仁慈的人，你以仁慈待他；
純全的人，你以純全待他；
26 純潔的人，你以純潔待他；
心術不正的人，你以計謀待他。
27 你搭救謙卑的人，
貶抑眼目高傲的人。
28 我的上帝耶和華啊，
你是我的明燈，
你使我的黑暗變為光明。
29 我倚靠你的力量迎戰敵軍，
靠著我的上帝躍過牆垣。
30 上帝的道完美，
耶和華的話純全，
祂是投靠祂之人的盾牌。
31 除了耶和華以外，誰是上帝呢？
除了我們的上帝，誰是磐石呢？
32 是上帝賜我力量，
使我行為純全。
33 祂使我的腳如母鹿的蹄，
穩踏在高處。
34 祂訓練我，
使我的手能爭戰、
我的臂膀能拉開銅弓。
35 耶和華啊，你是拯救我的盾牌，
你的右手扶持我，
你的垂顧使我強大。
36 你使我腳下的道路寬闊，
不致滑倒。
37 我追趕仇敵直到追上，
不消滅他們決不回頭。
38 我打垮他們，
使他們倒在我的腳下，
再也站不起來。
39 你賜我征戰的能力，
使我的仇敵降服在我腳下。
40 你使我的仇敵狼狽而逃，
我殲滅了恨我的人。
41 他們高聲求救，卻無人搭救；
他們呼求耶和華，祂也不應允。
42 我把他們打得粉碎，
如同風中的灰塵；
我把他們倒掉，
如同街上的泥土。
43 你救我脫離我百姓的攻擊，
立我做列國的元首。
素不認識的民族也歸順我。
44 他們望風而降，
外族人對我俯首稱臣。
45 外族人聞風喪膽，
戰戰兢兢地走出他們的城池。
46 耶和華永遠活著，
保護我的磐石當受頌讚，
拯救我的上帝當受尊崇。
47 祂是為我伸冤的上帝，
祂使列邦臣服於我。
48 祂救我脫離仇敵，
使我勝過強敵，
拯救我脫離殘暴之徒。
49 因此，耶和華啊，
我要在列邦中讚美你，
歌頌你的名。
50 你使你立的王大獲全勝，
向你膏立的大衛及其後代廣施慈愛，直到永遠。

Psalm 18
1 Voor de leider van het koor. Een lied van David, de dienaar van de Heer. Hij maakte dit lied voor de Heer, toen Hij hem had gered van zijn vijanden en uit de handen van koning Saul.[a] 2 Hij zei:
Ik houd heel erg veel van U, mijn Heer.
U geeft mij kracht.
3 Heer, U bent de rots onder mijn voeten,
de burcht waar ik veilig ben, mijn Bevrijder.
U bent mijn God, de rots waarop ik kan vertrouwen,
het schild dat mij beschermt, mijn Redder,
mijn sterke toren waarin ik veilig ben.
4 Ik riep het uit tot de Heer,
tot de Heer die het waard is dat wij Hem prijzen.
Toen redde Hij mij van mijn vijanden.
5 De dood hield mij in zijn greep,
bedreigde mij als een wilde rivier.
6 Het dodenrijk omklemde mij.
Overal loerde de dood op mij.
7 Wanhopig riep ik de Heer om hulp.
Ik riep tot mijn God.
Hij hoorde mijn stem vanuit zijn paleis.
Mijn geroep klonk in zijn oren.
8 Toen dreunde en beefde de aarde,
de bergen schudden en schokten:
de Heer was woedend over wat er gebeurde.
9 Rook kwam uit zijn neus.
Vernietigend vuur kwam uit zijn mond.
Houtskool raakte er door in brand.
10 Hij boog de hemel neer en kwam naar beneden.
Donkere wolken waren onder zijn voeten.
11 Hij reed op een engel,
vloog op de vleugels van de wind.
12 Hij verborg zich in diepe duisternis,
in zware regen en donkere wolken.
13 Door het licht dat van Hem afstraalde,
werden de wolken verjaagd.
Het regende hagel en gloeiende houtskool.
14 Vanuit de hemel sprak de Heer met een stem als de donder.
De Allerhoogste God sprak vanuit de hagel en de gloeiende kolen.
15 Hij schoot zijn pijlen af en mijn vijanden vluchtten.
Hij slingerde zijn bliksem naar hen, zodat ze in paniek raakten.
16 De zeebodem viel droog,
de fundamenten van de aarde werden zichtbaar
toen Hij woedend tegen mijn vijanden tekeer ging
en tegen hen blies met de adem van zijn neus.
17 Hij stak uit de hemel zijn hand naar mij uit,
greep me en trok me op uit het diepe water.
18 Hij redde me uit de greep van mijn machtige vijanden
die mij haatten en die sterker waren dan ik.
19 Ze vielen me aan toen ik zwak was,
maar de Heer hielp mij.
20 Hij bevrijdde me en gaf me weer ruimte.
Hij redde mij, omdat Hij van mij houdt.
21 De Heer deed dit voor mij, omdat ik onschuldig ben.
Hij beloonde me ervoor dat ik nooit iets slechts had gedaan.
22 Want ik heb me altijd gehouden aan de wetten van de Heer.
Ik heb mijn God nooit verlaten.
23 Altijd gehoorzaamde ik zijn leefregels.
Ik deed wat Hij van me vroeg.
24 Ik leefde zoals Hij het wil
en was Hem nooit ongehoorzaam.
25 Ja, de Heer beloonde me omdat ik onschuldig ben.
Hij beloonde me omdat Hij had gezien dat ik nooit iets slechts had gedaan.
26 Als mensen trouw zijn aan U, bent U trouw aan hen.
U bent goed voor mensen die goed leven.
27 Aan mensen die eerlijk zijn,
laat U zien dat U een eerlijk God bent.
Maar aan mensen die slecht zijn,
laat U zien dat U hun vijand bent.
28 U redt arme en verdrukte mensen.
Maar U vernedert de mensen
die trots denken dat ze U niet nodig hebben.
29 U bent voor mij als een lamp, Heer,
want U brengt licht in mijn duisternis.
30 Met U durf ik een heel leger aan.
Met U spring ik over een muur.
31 Wat God doet is volmaakt.
Wat Hij zegt is altijd te vertrouwen.
Hij beschermt iedereen die naar Hem toe komt voor hulp.
32 Er is geen andere God dan de Heer!
Er is geen andere rots dan onze God! Alleen Hij is de rots onder onze voeten.
33 Hij maakt mij sterk.
Hij zorgt ervoor dat ik alles aan kan.
34 Hij maakt mijn voeten zo behendig als die van een hert.
Zelfs op de hoogste toppen zorgt Hij dat ik stevig sta.
35 Hij leert me hoe ik moet strijden,
zodat ik koperen bogen kan spannen.
36 U beschermde me als een schild en U hielp mij.
Dankzij uw goedheid ben ik machtig geworden.
37 U heeft de weg voor mij gebaand.
Ik kon gaan zonder te struikelen.
38 Ik achtervolgde mijn vijanden en haalde hen in.
Ik ging niet terug vóórdat ik hen had vernietigd.
39 Ik sloeg hen neer met mijn zwaard.
Ze vielen onder mijn voeten en stonden nooit meer op.
40 Want dankzij U was ik sterk in de strijd.
U dwong mijn vijanden om zich over te geven.
41 Dankzij U sloegen mijn vijanden op de vlucht.
Al mijn vijanden heb ik vernietigd.
42 Ze riepen om hulp, maar niemand redde hen.
Ze riepen tot de Heer, maar Hij antwoordde niet.
43 Toen vermaalde ik hen tot stof in de wind.
Ik vertrapte hen als het vuil in de straten.
44 U heeft mij gered toen mensen tegen mij in opstand kwamen.
U maakte mij tot hoofd over vele volken.
Verre volken dienden mij.
45 Zodra ze van mij hoorden, gehoorzaamden ze mij.
Buitenlandse volken bogen nederig voor mij
omdat ze bang voor me waren.
46 Vreemdelingen beefden van angst voor mij
en kwamen angstig uit hun burchten.
47 De Heer leeft!
Ik juich voor Hem, de rots onder mijn voeten!
Alle eer is voor de God die mij heeft gered!
48 Hij heeft me de overwinning gegeven
en mij tot koning over vele volken gemaakt.
49 Hij heeft me van mijn vijanden gered.
Hij heeft mij machtiger gemaakt
dan de mensen die tegen me in opstand kwamen.
Hij heeft mij gered van mensen die geweld tegen me wilden gebruiken.
50 Heer, daarom prijs ik U onder de volken
en zing ik liederen voor U.
51 Hij redt zijn koning op bijzondere manieren.
Hij is goed voor de man die Hij tot koning heeft gezalfd.
Hij is goed voor David en voor zijn familie ná hem, voor altijd.

18 1 This Psalm is the first beginning of his gratulation, and thanksgiving in the entering into his kingdom, wherein he extolleth and praiseth most highly the marvelous mercies and grace of God, who hath thus preserved and defended him. 32 Also he setteth forth the image of Christ’s kingdom, that the faithful may be assured that Christ shall always conquer and overcome by the unspeakable power of his Father, though all the whole world should strive there against.
To him that excelleth. A Psalm of David the servant of the Lord, which spake unto the Lord the words of this song (in the day that the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul) and said,
1 I will love thee dearly, O Lord my strength.
2 (A)[a]The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and he that delivereth me, my God and my strength: in him will I trust, my shield, the horn also of my salvation, and my refuge.
3 I will call upon the Lord, which is worthy to be [b]praised: so shall I be safe from mine enemies.
4 [c]The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of wickedness made me afraid.
5 The [d]sorrows of the grave have compassed me about: the snares of death overtook me.
6 But in my trouble did I call upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his Temple, and my cry did come before him, even into his ears.
7 [e]Then the earth trembled and quaked: the foundations also of the mountains moved and shook, because he was angry.
8 Smoke went out at his nostrils, and a [f]consuming fire out of his mouth: coals were kindled thereat.
9 He bowed the heavens also and came down, and [g]darkness was under his feet.
10 And he rode upon [h]Cherub, and did fly, and he came flying upon the wings of the wind.
11 He made darkness his [i]secret place, and his pavilion round about him, even darkness of waters, and clouds of the air.
12 At the brightness of his presence his clouds passed, hailstones and coals of fire.
13 The Lord also thundered in the heaven, and the Highest gave [j]his voice, hailstones and coals of fire.
14 Then he sent out [k]his arrows and scattered them, and he increased lightnings and destroyed them.
15 And the channels of waters were seen, and the [l]foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuking, O Lord, at the blasting of the breath of thy nostrils.
16 He hath sent down from above and taken me: he hath drawn me out of many [m]waters.
17 He hath delivered me from my [n]strong enemy, and from them which hate me: for they were [o]too strong for me.
18 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay.
19 He brought me forth also into a large place: [p]he delivered me because he favored me.
20 The Lord rewarded me according to my [q]righteousness: according to the pureness of mine hand he recompensed me:
21 Because I kept the ways of the Lord, and did not wickedly against my God.
22 For all his laws were before me, and I did not cast away his [r]commandments from me.
23 I was upright also with him, and have kept me from my [s]wickedness.
24 Therefore the Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness, and according to the pureness of mine hands in his sight.
25 With the [t]godly thou wilt show thyself godly: with the upright man thou wilt show thyself upright.
26 With the pure thou wilt show thyself pure, and with the froward thou wilt show thyself froward.
27 Thus thou wilt save the poor people, and wilt [u]cast down to proud looks.
28 Surely thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will lighten my darkness.
29 For by thee I have [v]broken through an host, and by my God I have leaped over a wall.
30 The way of God is uncorrupt: the [w]word of the Lord is tried in the fire: he is a shield to all that trust in him.
31 For who is God besides the Lord? and who is mighty save our God?
32 God girdeth me with strength, and maketh my [x]way upright.
33 He maketh my feet like hind’s feet, and setteth me upon mine [y]high places.
34 He teacheth mine hands to fight: so that a bow of [z]brass is broken with mine arms.
35 Thou hast also given me the [aa]shield of thy salvation, and thy right hand hath stayed me, and thy [ab]lovingkindness hath caused me to increase.
36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, and my heels have not slid.
37 [ac]I have pursued mine enemies, and taken them, and have not turned again till I had consumed them.
38 I have wounded them, that they were not able to rise, they are fallen under my feet.
39 For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose against me, thou hast subdued under me.
40 And thou hast [ad]given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.
41 They [ae]cried, but there was none to save them, even unto the Lord, but he answered them not.
42 Then I did beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did tread them flat as the clay in the streets.
43 Thou hast delivered me from the contentions of the people: thou hast made me the head of the [af]heathen, a people, whom I have not [ag]known, shall serve me.
44 As soon as they hear they shall obey me: the strangers shall [ah]be in subjection to me.
45 Strangers shall [ai]shrink away, and fear in their pure chambers.
46 Let the Lord live, and blessed be my strength, and the God of my salvation be exalted.
47 It is God that giveth me power to avenge me, and subdued the people under me.
48 O my deliverer from mine enemies, even thou hast set me up from those that rose against me; thou hast delivered me from the [aj]cruel man.
49 Therefore [ak]I will praise thee, O Lord, among the nations, and will sing unto thy Name.
50 Great deliverances giveth he unto his king, and showeth mercy to his anointed, even to David, and to his [al]seed forever.
