無辜者的祈禱
大衛的祈禱。
17 耶和華啊，
求你聽我祈求公義的聲音，
側耳聽我的呼求，
垂聽我真誠的禱告。
2 願你宣判我無罪，
願你明察是非。
3 你試驗過我的心思，
夜間鑒察過我，磨煉過我，
找不出任何過犯；
我立志口不犯罪。
4 我遵守你的教導，潔身自守，
不與殘暴之徒同流。
5 我堅定地走你的道路，
從未偏離。
6 上帝啊！我向你祈禱，
因為你必應允我。
求你垂聽我的禱告。
7 求你彰顯你奇妙的慈愛，
用右手拯救投靠你的人脫離仇敵。
8 求你保護我，像保護眼中的瞳人，
用你的翅膀蔭庇我，
9 救我脫離惡人的攻擊，
脫離四圍殺氣騰騰的仇敵。
10 他們良心喪盡，口出狂言。
11 他們窮追圍堵，
伺機把我打倒在地。
12 他們像急於撕碎獵物的餓獅，
又像蹲伏在暗處的猛獅。
13 耶和華啊，
求你起來迎頭擊倒他們，
求你持刀救我脫離惡人。
14 耶和華啊，
求你伸手救我脫離這些人，
脫離這些只在今生有福分的世人。
你使他們財寶無數。
他們兒女眾多，
還把財富留給子孫。
15 但我因持守公義必見你的面；
我醒來見到你就心滿意足了。

1 Een gebed van David
Luister naar mij, Heer!
Ik heb geen kwaad gedaan!
Luister alstublieft naar mij!
Luister naar mijn gebed, Heer,
want ik ben onschuldig!
2 Oordeel alstublieft Zelf over mij.
U weet wat rechtvaardig is.
3 Als U diep in mijn hart kijkt,
als U 's nachts onderzoekt wat mijn diepst verborgen gedachten zijn,
dan zult U niets verkeerds vinden.
Ik probeer om nooit iets verkeerds te zeggen.
4 Zoals U mij heeft geleerd,
heb ik nooit slechte dingen willen doen.
5 Altijd heb ik geprobeerd om te leven zoals U het wil.
Nooit ben ik daarvan afgeweken.
6 Nu roep ik U om hulp.
Want ik weet dat U, mijn God, mij antwoordt.
Luister naar mij, Heer, luister naar wat ik zeg.
7 Laat me alstublieft zien hoe geweldig liefdevol U bent.
Iemand die bij U bescherming zoekt,
zult U toch zeker redden van zijn vijanden?
8 Bescherm mij als het kostbaarste wat U heeft.
Verberg mij onder uw vleugels.
9 Bescherm mij tegen de mensen die mij willen doden.
Verberg mij voor mijn doodsvijanden die mij omsingelen.
10 Ze zijn hard en harteloos.
Ze hebben geen medelijden met een ander.
Ze denken alleen maar aan zichzelf.
11 Ze zijn overal om mij heen, waar ik ook ga.
Ze willen me vernietigen.
12 Ze liggen als een leeuw op de loer,
wachtend op hun prooi, klaar voor de sprong.
13 Kom, Heer! Ga op hen af, sla hen neer!
Red mij met uw zwaard van mijn vijanden.
14 Red mij, Heer.
Die mensen zijn mannen van de wereld.
Ze denken alleen maar aan het leven hier en nu.
Stort uw straf over hen uit,
zodat zelfs hun zonen eronder bedolven zullen worden,
en zelfs hun kleinkinderen het nog zullen merken.
15 Maar ik ben onschuldig.
Ik zal U mogen zien.
Als ik 's morgens wakker word,
voel ik me vol en tevreden, omdat ik U zie.

17 1 Here he complaineth to God of the cruel pride and arrogance of Saul, and the rest of his enemies, who thus raged without any cause given on his part. 6 Therefore he desireth God to revenge his innocence and deliver him.
The prayer of David.
1 Hear [a]the right, O Lord, consider my cry: hearken unto my prayer of lips unfeigned.
2 Let my [b]sentence come forth from thy presence, and let thine eyes behold equity.
3 Thou hast [c]proved and visited mine heart in the night: thou hast tried me, and foundest nothing: for I was purposed that my [d]mouth should not offend.
4 Concerning the works of men, by the [e]words of thy lips I kept me from the paths of the cruel man.
5 Stay my steps in thy paths, that my feet do not slide.
6 I have called upon thee: [f]surely thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear to me, and hearken unto my words.
7 Show thy marvelous mercies: thou that art the Savior of them that trust in thee, from such as [g]resist thy right hand.
8 Keep me as the apple of the eye: hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
9 From the wicked that oppress me, from mine enemies, which compass me round about for [h]my soul.
10 They are enclosed in their own [i]fat, and they have spoken proudly with their mouth.
11 They have compassed us now in our steps: they have set their eyes to bring down to the ground:
12 Like as a lion that is greedy of prey, and as it were a Lion’s whelp lurking in secret places.
13 Up Lord, [j]disappoint him: cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked [k]with thy sword,
14 From men by thine [l]hand, O Lord, from men [m]of the world, who have their [n]portion in this life, whose bellies thou fillest with thine hid treasure: their children have enough, and leave the rest of their substance for their children.
15 But I will behold thy face [o]in righteousness, and when I [p]wake, I shall be satisfied with thine image.
