求上帝荫庇
大卫的诗。
141 耶和华啊，
我向你呼求，求你快来帮助我；
我向你呼求的时候，求你垂听。
2 愿我的祷告如香升到你面前，
愿我举手所献的祷告如同晚祭。
3 耶和华啊，
求你守住我的口，
看住我的嘴。
4 耶和华啊，求你不要让我的心偏向邪恶，
免得我与恶人同流合污；
也不要让我吃他们的美食。
5 我情愿受义人出于爱心的责打，
他们的责打是良药，
我不会逃避。
我要不断地用祷告抵挡恶人的行径。
6 他们的首领被抛下悬崖的时候，
他们就会知道我所言不虚。
7 那些恶人的骨头散落在墓旁，
好像耕田翻起的土块。
8 主耶和华啊，
我仰望你，我投靠你，
求你不要让我遭害。
9 求你不要使我落入恶人设下的网罗，
不要掉进他们的陷阱。
10 愿他们作茧自缚，
而我可以安然逃脱。

A Psalm of David.
1 Lord, I call upon You; hasten to me. Give ear to my voice when I cry to You.
2 Let my prayer be set forth as incense before You, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.(A)
3 Set a guard, O Lord, before my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips.
4 Incline my heart not to submit or consent to any evil thing or to be occupied in deeds of wickedness with men who work iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties.
5 Let the righteous man smite and correct me—it is a kindness. Oil so choice let not my head refuse or discourage; for even in their evils or calamities shall my prayer continue.(B)
6 When their rulers are overthrown in stony places, [their followers] shall hear my words, that they are sweet (pleasant, mild, and just).
7 The unburied bones [of slaughtered rulers] shall lie scattered at the mouth of Sheol, [as unregarded] as the lumps of soil behind the plowman when he breaks open the ground.(C)
8 But my eyes are toward You, O God the Lord; in You do I trust and take refuge; pour not out my life nor leave it destitute and bare.
9 Keep me from the trap which they have laid for me, and the snares of evildoers.
10 Let the wicked fall together into their own nets, while I pass over them and escape.

A psalm of David.
1 I call to you, Lord, come quickly(A) to me;
hear me(B) when I call to you.
2 May my prayer be set before you like incense;(C)
may the lifting up of my hands(D) be like the evening sacrifice.(E)
3 Set a guard over my mouth,(F) Lord;
keep watch over the door of my lips.(G)
4 Do not let my heart(H) be drawn to what is evil
so that I take part in wicked deeds(I)
along with those who are evildoers;
do not let me eat their delicacies.(J)
5 Let a righteous man strike me—that is a kindness;
let him rebuke me(K)—that is oil on my head.(L)
My head will not refuse it,
for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers.

1 Een lied van David.
Heer, ik roep U om hulp. Kom toch gauw!
Luister naar mij als ik U om hulp roep!
2 Ontvang mijn gebed als een wierook-offer.
Mijn opgeheven handen zijn het avond-offer.
3 Heer, zet een bewaker bij mijn mond,
die de deur van mijn lippen bewaakt.
4 Houd mij weg van het kwaad.
Laat me niet meedoen met slechte mensen,
ook al is de verleiding soms nog zo groot.
5 Als een rechtvaardig mens mij straft,
dan doet hij dat uit liefde.
Als slechte mensen me kwaad doen,
zal ik voor hen bidden.
6 Als hun leiders de doodstraf krijgen
en van de rotsen worden gegooid,
zal ik nog goede dingen over hen zeggen.[a]
7 We staan op de rand van de dood:
het is alsof onze botten al overal verspreid liggen,
zoals kluiten aarde op de akker
nadat de boeren het land hebben omgeploegd.
8 Maar ik kijk naar U uit, Heer, en vertrouw op U.
Laat me niet sterven.
9 Bescherm me tegen elke val
die slechte mensen voor mij hebben opgezet.
10 Laat hen in hun eigen valkuil vallen,
maar laat mij ontsnappen.
