強敵迫害求耶和華佑護解脫
140 大衛的詩，交於伶長。
1 耶和華啊，求你拯救我脫離凶惡的人，保護我脫離強暴的人。
2 他們心中圖謀奸惡，常常聚集要爭戰。
3 他們使舌頭尖利如蛇，嘴裡有虺蛇的毒氣。（細拉）
4 耶和華啊，求你拯救我脫離惡人的手，保護我脫離強暴的人，他們圖謀推我跌倒。
5 驕傲人為我暗設網羅和繩索，他們在路旁鋪下網，設下圈套。（細拉）
6 我曾對耶和華說：「你是我的神。」耶和華啊，求你留心聽我懇求的聲音！
7 主耶和華，我救恩的力量啊，在爭戰的日子，你遮蔽了我的頭。
8 耶和華啊，求你不要遂惡人的心願，不要成就他們的計謀，恐怕他們自高。（細拉）
9 至於那些昂首圍困我的人，願他們嘴唇的奸惡陷害[a]自己。
10 願火炭落在他們身上，願他們被丟在火中，拋在深坑裡，不能再起來。
11 說惡言的人在地上必堅立不住，禍患必獵取強暴的人，將他打倒。
12 我知道耶和華必為困苦人申冤，必為窮乏人辨屈。
13 義人必要稱讚你的名，正直人必住在你面前。

140 耶和华啊！
求你拯救我脱离恶人，
保护我脱离残暴之徒。
2 他们心怀叵测，整天挑拨离间。
3 他们的言语恶毒如蛇，
嘴唇有蛇的毒液。（细拉）
4 耶和华啊，
求你使我免遭恶人的毒手，
保护我脱离残暴之徒。
他们图谋害我。
5 傲慢人在我的路上暗设网罗，
布下圈套，挖了陷阱。（细拉）
6 耶和华啊，
我说：“你是我的上帝。”
耶和华啊，求你垂听我的呼求。
7 主耶和华，我大能的拯救者啊，
在战争的日子，你保护我。
8 耶和华啊，
求你不要让恶人的愿望实现，
不要让他们的阴谋得逞，
免得他们狂妄自大。（细拉）
9 愿那些围攻我的人自食恶果。
10 愿火炭落在他们身上，
愿他们被丢进火里，
被抛进深坑，不得翻身。
11 愿毁谤者在地上无法立足，
愿祸患毁灭残暴之徒。
12 我知道耶和华必为贫穷人伸张正义，
为困苦者申冤。
13 义人必赞美你的名，
正直人必活在你面前。

For the director of music. A psalm of David.
1 Rescue me,(A) Lord, from evildoers;
protect me from the violent,(B)
2 who devise evil plans(C) in their hearts
and stir up war(D) every day.
3 They make their tongues as sharp as(E) a serpent’s;
the poison of vipers(F) is on their lips.[b]
4 Keep me safe,(G) Lord, from the hands of the wicked;(H)
protect me from the violent,
who devise ways to trip my feet.
5 The arrogant have hidden a snare(I) for me;
they have spread out the cords of their net(J)
and have set traps(K) for me along my path.
6 I say to the Lord, “You are my God.”(L)
Hear, Lord, my cry for mercy.(M)
7 Sovereign Lord,(N) my strong deliverer,
you shield my head in the day of battle.
8 Do not grant the wicked(O) their desires, Lord;
do not let their plans succeed.
