Psalm 121

Hjälpen finns hos Herren

En vallfartssång.

Jag lyfter mina ögon upp till bergen.
Varifrån skall min hjälp komma?
Min hjälp kommer från Herren,
    som har gjort himmel och jord.
Inte skall han låta din fot vackla,
    inte slumrar han som bevarar dig.
Nej, han som bevarar Israel,
    han slumrar inte, han sover inte.
Herren bevarar dig,
    Herren är ditt skydd
på din högra sida.
Solen skall inte skada dig om dagen,
och inte månen om natten.
Herren skall bevara dig från allt ont,
han skall bevara din själ.
Herren skall bevara din utgång och din ingång
från nu och till evig tid.

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
    where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
    the Maker of heaven(A) and earth.(B)

He will not let your foot slip—
    he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches(C) over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over(D) you—
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun(E) will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm(F)
    he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.(G)

121 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
