致住在腓立比，在基督耶稣里的所有圣徒，包括各位监督和执事[a]：

感恩与祷告
3 每当想到你们，我就感谢我的神； 4 每次为你们大家祈祷的时候，我总是怀着喜乐的心祈祷， 5 因你们从第一天到如今，一直在福音工作上相契合[b]。 6 我正是深信这一点：就是在你们里面开始了美善工作的那一位，将会完成这工作，直到基督耶稣的日子[c]。 7 我理当这样思念你们大家，因为你们常把我放在心上[d]；无论我是在捆锁当中，还是在为福音辩护或做见证的时候，你们都是在恩典上与我一同有份。 8 实际上，神可以为我见证：我是怎样以基督耶稣的情感，切切地想念你们大家的。 9 我是这样祷告的：愿你们的爱心能在真正的知识和一切分辨力上，越来越丰足有余， 10 使你们能分辨是非[e]，好在基督的日子里是纯洁、无可指责的， 11 并且充满了那藉着耶稣基督而来的义行果子，归于神的荣耀和称赞。
福音得以广传
12 弟兄们，我愿你们知道，我的遭遇反而促进了福音的进展， 13 以致整个王宫卫队[f]和所有其余的人，都清楚我是为基督的缘故被捆锁的； 14 并且大多数的弟兄因着我所受的捆锁，就在主里深信不疑、无所惧怕，更加大胆地传讲这话语[g]。 15 有些人传扬基督固然是出于嫉妒和纷争，但也有些人是出于好意。 16 后者是出于爱，知道我是为辩护福音而受委派的；[h] 17 前者传讲基督是出于争竞[i]，不是出于真诚，想要在我的捆锁中，增加[j]我的患难。[k] 18 这到底有什么关系呢？只是在各种方法中，无论是假意还是真心，基督都被传开了；我为此就欢喜，并且还要欢喜， 19 因为我知道，藉着你们的祈祷和耶稣基督之灵的帮助，事情将为我转变以致我获救。 20 我的热切盼望和期待是：我在任何事上都将不至于蒙羞；而现在也能像往常一样，无论藉着生，还是藉着死，总要满有胆量地让基督在我身上被尊为大。
活着就是基督
21 因为对我来说，活着就是基督，死去就有益处。 22 但如果我继续活在世上[l]，这就使我有工作的成果[m]，于是我不明白该怎样选择了。 23 我正处在两难之间：我渴望离世与基督在一起，因为这是好得无比的； 24 可是为了你们的缘故，我更需要留在世上[n]。 25 既然我深信这一点，就知道我会活下去[o]，并且将继续和你们大家在一起，好使你们在信仰上有长进、有喜乐。 26 以致因着我再次到你们那里去，你们在基督耶稣里，对我的夸耀能充实满溢。
27 只是你们行事为人[p]要配得上基督的福音，好让我无论是来见你们，还是不在你们那里的时候，都可以听到有关你们的事，就是你们怀有一个心志站立得稳，同心合意地为福音的信仰一起奋战； 28 在任何事上都不被反对你们的人吓倒——这对他们是灭亡[q]的证明，而对你们却是得救的证明，并且这是出于神。 29 原来你们为基督所蒙的恩是：不仅要信基督，而且还要为他受苦， 30 去经历你们在我身上所看到、现在又听到的那同样的争战。

Philippians 1

Greeting
1 Paul(A) and Timothy,(B) servants of Christ Jesus:
To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi,(C) including the overseers(D) and deacons.(E)
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Thanksgiving and Prayer
3 I give thanks to my God for every remembrance of you,[a] 4 always praying with joy for all of you in my every prayer, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day(F) until now.(G) 6 I am sure of this, that he who started a good work(H) in you[b] will carry it on to completion(I) until the day of Christ Jesus. 7 Indeed, it is right(J) for me to think this way about all of you, because I have you in my heart,[c] and you are all partners with me in grace, both in my imprisonment(K) and in the defense(L) and confirmation of the gospel. 8 For God is my witness,(M) how deeply I miss all of you(N) with the affection of Christ Jesus. 9 And I pray this: that your love(O) will keep on growing(P) in knowledge and every kind of discernment,(Q) 10 so that you may approve the things that are superior(R) and may be pure(S) and blameless(T) in the day of Christ,(U) 11 filled with the fruit(V) of righteousness(W) that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory(X) and praise of God.
Advance of the Gospel
12 Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually advanced the gospel,(Y) 13 so that it has become known throughout the whole imperial guard, and to everyone else, that my imprisonment is because I am in Christ. 14 Most of the brothers have gained confidence in the Lord from my imprisonment and dare even more to speak the word[d](Z) fearlessly. 15 To be sure, some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry,(AA) but others out of good will. 16 These preach out of love,(AB) knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel; 17 the others proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition,(AC) not sincerely, thinking that they will cause me trouble in my imprisonment. 18 What does it matter? Only that in every way, whether from false motives(AD) or true, Christ is proclaimed, and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice 19 because I know this will lead to my salvation[e](AE) through your prayers and help from the Spirit(AF) of Jesus Christ.(AG) 20 My eager expectation and hope(AH) is that I will not be ashamed about anything, but that now as always, with all courage, Christ will be highly honored in my body, whether by life(AI) or by death.(AJ)
Living Is Christ
21 For me, to live is Christ(AK) and to die is gain.(AL) 22 Now if I live on in the flesh, this means fruitful(AM) work(AN) for me; and I don’t know which one I should choose. 23 I am torn between the two. I long to depart and be with Christ(AO)—which is far better(AP)— 24 but to remain in the flesh is more necessary for your sake. 25 Since I am persuaded of this, I know that I will remain and continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith,(AQ) 26 so that, because of my coming to you again, your boasting(AR) in Christ Jesus(AS) may abound.
27 Just one thing: As citizens of heaven, live your life(AT) worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm(AU) in one(AV) spirit, in one accord,[f] contending together for the faith(AW) of the gospel, 28 not being frightened in any way by your opponents.(AX) This is a sign of destruction for them,(AY) but of your salvation(AZ)—and this is from God. 29 For it has been granted to you on Christ’s behalf not only to believe(BA) in him, but also to suffer for him, 30 since you are engaged in the same struggle that you saw I had and now hear that I have.
Philippians 1

1 Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
2 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
7 Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.
8 For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.
11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
12 But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
13 So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;
14 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.
21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.
23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
25 And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;
26 That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.
27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.
29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
30 Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.

感恩和禱告
3 我每逢想起你們，就感謝我的上帝。 4 每次為你們眾人禱告的時候，我心裡都很喜樂。 5 因為你們從開始直到現在，一直和我同心合意地傳揚福音。 6 我深信，上帝既然在你們心裡開始了這美好的工作，祂必在耶穌基督再來的時候完成這工作。 7 我對你們眾人有這樣的感受是很自然的，因為我常把你們放在心上[a]。不論我是身在獄中，還是為福音辯護和作證的時候，你們都與我同蒙恩典。 8 上帝可以作證，我是怎樣以基督耶穌的慈愛之心想念你們。

為基督而活
12 弟兄姊妹，我希望你們知道，我的遭遇反而會使福音傳得更廣， 13 連所有的皇家衛兵和其他眾人都知道我是為了基督的緣故而受囚禁。 14 大多數主內的弟兄姊妹看見我為主被囚，信心受到鼓舞，更加放膽無懼地傳揚上帝的道。 15 當然，有些人宣講基督是出於嫉妒和爭強好勝，也有些人是出於善意。 16 後者是出於愛心，知道我是上帝派來維護福音的。 17 前者傳講基督是出於個人野心，動機不純，以為可以增加我在獄中的痛苦。 18 那又怎樣呢？無論他們傳福音是真心還是假意，基督的福音畢竟傳開了，因此我很歡喜，而且歡喜不已。 19 因為我知道，藉著你們的禱告和耶穌基督之靈的幫助，我終會得到釋放。

27 最要緊的是：你們行事為人要與基督的福音相稱。這樣，不管是去看你們，還是只聽到你們的消息，我都能知道你們同心合意，堅定不移地一起為福音奮鬥， 28 毫不懼怕敵人的恐嚇。這清楚表明他們必滅亡，你們必得救，這是出於上帝。 29 因為上帝為了基督的緣故，賜恩使你們不但信基督，而且為祂受苦， 30 經歷你們從前在我身上見過，現在又從我這裡聽到的同樣爭戰。
