1 基督耶稣的囚犯保罗，以及弟兄提摩太，
致我们亲爱的弟兄和同工腓利门， 2 还有姐妹[a]阿菲娅和我们的战友阿其波斯，以及在你家里的教会：
3 愿恩典与平安从神我们的父和主耶稣基督临到你们！
为腓利门感恩
4 我在祷告中提到你的时候，总是感谢我的神， 5 因为我听说了你对主耶稣和所有圣徒所怀的爱心和信仰。 6 藉着认识在我们[b]中间为基督[c]所做的[d]一切美善之事，愿你在信仰上的契合[e]能发挥功效。 7 实际上，我由于你的爱得了极大的喜乐[f]和鼓励，因为弟兄啊，圣徒们的情感藉着你得了安宁。
保罗的请求
8 所以，虽然我在基督里大有胆量，可以吩咐你去做[g]合宜的事， 9 但为了爱的缘故，我宁愿恳求你。我[h]保罗——像我这样一个老人[i]，而现在又是基督耶稣的囚犯—— 10 为我在捆锁中所生的孩子[j]奥尼斯莫[k]，恳求你。 11 他从前对你没有益处，但如今对你、对我都有益处了。 12 我把他本人送回你那里，就是说，把我的情感送回你那里。 13 我本来想把他留在自己身边，好让他在我为福音被捆锁的期间，能替你服事我。 14 但是没有你的同意，我就不愿意做什么，好让你的美善之事不是出于勉强，而是出于自愿。 15 其实，他暂时离开你，或许正是为了使你可以永远得着他—— 16 不再像一个奴仆，而是高于奴仆，是一位蒙爱的弟兄。他对我尤其是这样，更何况对你呢！无论是在肉体上或在主里面都是这样。
17 因此，你如果把我当做同伴，就请接纳他，像接纳我一样。 18 如果他亏负过你什么，或现在欠了你什么，请把它算在我的账上。 19 我保罗亲手写下：我必偿还——免得我对你说，连你自己也是欠我的呢！ 20 是的，弟兄！愿我在主里从你得到喜乐[l]，请你使我的情感在基督[m]里得到安宁。 21 我深信你会顺从，就写了信给你，因为我知道你所做的甚至会超过我所求的。 22 同时还请你为我预备住处，因为我希望藉着你们的祷告，能回到你们那里去。
结尾的祝福
23 在基督耶稣里与我一起坐牢的以帕弗拉问候你。 24 我的同工马可、亚里达古、迪马斯、路加也都问候你。

4-5 我听见你对主耶稣和众圣徒有爱心和信心，我每逢祷告提到你的时候，就常常感谢我的 神。 6 愿你与众人分享你的信心的时候，会产生功效，使我们可以知道在我们中间的一切善事，都是为基督作的。 7 弟兄啊，众圣徒的心既然从你得到舒畅，我也因你的爱心，得到更大的喜乐和安慰。
为欧尼西慕请求
8 我在基督里虽然可以放胆吩咐你作应作的事， 9 然而像我这上了年纪的保罗，现在又是为基督耶稣被囚禁的，宁愿凭着爱心请求你， 10 就是为我在囚禁时所生的儿子欧尼西慕求你； 11 他从前对你没有甚么好处，但现在对你我都有好处。 12 我现在打发他亲自回到你那里去；他是我所心爱的。 13 我本来想把他留在我这里，使他在我为福音被囚禁时，可以替你服事我。 14 但还没有得到你的同意，我就不愿意这样作，好叫你的善行不是出于勉强，而是出于甘心。 15 也许他暂时离开你，正是为了使你永远得着他， 16 不再是奴隶，而是高过奴隶，是亲爱的弟兄。对我固然是这样，对你来说，不论按肉身或在主内的关系，更是这样。
17 所以，你要是把我看作同伴，就接纳他好象接纳我一样。 18 如果他使你受了损失，或欠你甚么，都记在我的帐上。 19 “我必偿还”，这是我保罗亲手写的。用不着我说，甚至你的生命，你也是欠我的。 20 所以弟兄啊！让我在主里得到你的帮助，使我的心在基督里得着畅快。
21 我深信你会听从，也知道你所作的必超过我所说的，因此才写信给你。 22 同时，还请你为我预备住的地方，因为我盼望借着你们的祷告，可以获得释放到你们那里去。

To Philemon our beloved fellow worker 2 and Apphia our sister and (C)Archippus our (D)fellow soldier, and (E)the church in your house:
3 (F)Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philemon's Love and Faith
4 (G)I thank my God always when I remember you in my prayers, 5 because I (H)hear of your love and (I)of the faith that you have toward the Lord Jesus and for all the saints, 6 and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full (J)knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ.[a] 7 For I have derived much joy and (K)comfort from your love, my brother, because the hearts of the saints (L)have been refreshed through you.
Paul's Plea for Onesimus
8 Accordingly, (M)though I am bold enough in Christ to command you to do (N)what is required, 9 yet for love's sake I prefer to appeal to you—I, Paul, an old man and now (O)a prisoner also for Christ Jesus— 10 I appeal to you for (P)my child, (Q)Onesimus,[b] (R)whose father I became in my imprisonment. 11 (Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.) 12 I am sending him back to you, sending my very heart. 13 I would have been glad to keep him with me, in order that he might serve me (S)on your behalf (T)during my imprisonment for the gospel, 14 but I preferred to do nothing without your consent in order that your goodness might not be (U)by compulsion but of your own accord. 15 For this perhaps is why (V)he was parted from you for a while, that you might have him back forever, 16 (W)no longer as a bondservant[c] but more than a bondservant, as (X)a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much more to you, (Y)both in the flesh and in the Lord.
17 So if you consider me (Z)your partner, receive him as you would receive me. 18 If he has wronged you at all, or owes you anything, charge that to my account. 19 (AA)I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it—to say nothing of your owing me even your own self. 20 Yes, brother, I want some benefit from you in the Lord. (AB)Refresh my heart in Christ.
21 (AC)Confident of your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I say. 22 At the same time, prepare a guest room for me, for (AD)I am hoping that (AE)through your prayers (AF)I will be graciously given to you.
Final Greetings
23 (AG)Epaphras, my (AH)fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends greetings to you, 24 and so do (AI)Mark, (AJ)Aristarchus, (AK)Demas, and (AL)Luke, my fellow workers.
25 (AM)The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
