1 基督耶稣的囚犯保罗，以及弟兄提摩太，

为腓利门感恩
4 我在祷告中提到你的时候，总是感谢我的神， 5 因为我听说了你对主耶稣和所有圣徒所怀的爱心和信仰。 6 藉着认识在我们[b]中间为基督[c]所做的[d]一切美善之事，愿你在信仰上的契合[e]能发挥功效。 7 实际上，我由于你的爱得了极大的喜乐[f]和鼓励，因为弟兄啊，圣徒们的情感藉着你得了安宁。
保罗的请求
8 所以，虽然我在基督里大有胆量，可以吩咐你去做[g]合宜的事， 9 但为了爱的缘故，我宁愿恳求你。我[h]保罗——像我这样一个老人[i]，而现在又是基督耶稣的囚犯—— 10 为我在捆锁中所生的孩子[j]奥尼斯莫[k]，恳求你。 11 他从前对你没有益处，但如今对你、对我都有益处了。 12 我把他本人送回你那里，就是说，把我的情感送回你那里。 13 我本来想把他留在自己身边，好让他在我为福音被捆锁的期间，能替你服事我。 14 但是没有你的同意，我就不愿意做什么，好让你的美善之事不是出于勉强，而是出于自愿。 15 其实，他暂时离开你，或许正是为了使你可以永远得着他—— 16 不再像一个奴仆，而是高于奴仆，是一位蒙爱的弟兄。他对我尤其是这样，更何况对你呢！无论是在肉体上或在主里面都是这样。

1 我是為了傳揚基督耶穌而被囚禁的保羅，與提摩太弟兄寫信給我們親愛的同工腓利門弟兄、 2 亞腓亞姊妹和我們的戰友亞基布，以及在腓利門家裡聚會的弟兄姊妹。
3 願我們的父上帝和主耶穌基督賜給你們恩典和平安。
稱讚腓利門
4 腓利門弟兄，我常常在禱告中為你感謝上帝， 5 因為我聽說了你對主耶穌的信心和對眾聖徒的愛心。 6 我求上帝使你能有效地與人分享信仰，明白我們所做的一切美事都是為了基督。 7 弟兄啊，你的愛心給我帶來極大的喜樂和安慰，因為你使眾聖徒感到欣慰。
憑愛心求情
8 因此，我儘管可以奉基督的名吩咐你去做當做的事， 9 然而我這上了年紀又為基督耶穌的緣故被囚禁的保羅寧願憑愛心求你， 10 就是替阿尼西謀[a]求你。他是我在獄中帶領歸主的屬靈兒子， 11 他過去對你沒有什麼益處，但現在對你對我都有益處。
12 我現在派我深愛的阿尼西謀回你那裡。 13 我本想把他留在身邊，讓他在我為傳福音而坐牢期間代替你服侍我。 14 不過，未經你同意，我不願意這樣做，因為我盼望你的善行是出於甘心，而非勉強。 15 或許他暫時離開你是為了讓你以後永遠得到他。 16 你得到的不再是一個奴隸，而是一位遠超過奴隸的親愛弟兄。對我而言，的確如此，更何況對你呢！就肉身說你們是主僕，但在主裡你們是弟兄。

1 Paul handling a base and small matter, yet according to his manner mounteth aloft unto God. 8 Sending again to Philemon his vagabond and thievish servant, he entreateth pardon for him, and very gravely preacheth of Christian equity.
1 Paul a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and our brother Timothy, unto Philemon our dear friend, and fellow helper,
2 And to our dear sister Apphia, and to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the Church that is in thine house:
3 Grace be with you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 I (A)give thanks to my God, making mention always of thee in my prayers,
5 (When I hear of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all Saints.)
6 That the [a]fellowship of thy faith may be made effectual, and that whatsoever good thing is in you through Christ Jesus, may be [b]known.
7 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because by thee, brother, the Saints [c]bowels are comforted.
8 Wherefore, though I be very bold in Christ to command thee that which is convenient,
9 [d]Yet for love’s sake I rather beseech thee, though I be as I am, even Paul aged, and even now a prisoner for Jesus Christ.
10 I beseech thee for my son (B)Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds,
11 Which in times past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable both to thee and to me.
12 Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is mine own [e]bowels,
13 Whom I would have received with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the Gospel.
14 But without thy mind would I do nothing, that thy benefit should not be as it were of [f]necessity, but willingly.
15 It may be that he therefore [g]departed for [h]a season, that thou shouldest receive him forever,
16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, even as a brother beloved, specially to me: how much more then unto thee, both in the [i]flesh and in the Lord?
17 If therefore thou count our things common, receive him as myself.
18 If he hath hurt thee, or oweth thee ought, that put on my accounts.
19 I Paul have written this with mine own hand: I will recompense it, albeit I do not say to thee, that thou owest moreover unto me even thine own self.
20 [j]Yea, brother, let me obtain this pleasure of thee in the Lord: comfort my bowels in the Lord.
21 Trusting in thine obedience, I wrote unto thee knowing that thou wilt do even more than I say,
22 Moreover also prepare me lodging: for I trust through your prayers I shall be freely given unto you.
23 There salute thee Epaphras my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus,
24 Mark, Aristarchus, Demas and Luke, my fellow helpers.

3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philemon’s Love and Faith
4 (C)I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, 5 (D)hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, 6 that the sharing of your faith may become effective (E)by the acknowledgment of (F)every good thing which is in [b]you in Christ Jesus. 7 For we [c]have great [d]joy and [e]consolation in your love, because the [f]hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.
The Plea for Onesimus
8 Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you what is fitting, 9 yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you—being such a one as Paul, the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ— 10 I appeal to you for my son (G)Onesimus, whom I have begotten while in my chains, 11 who once was unprofitable to you, but now is profitable to you and to me.
12 I am sending him [g]back. You therefore receive him, that is, my own [h]heart, 13 whom I wished to keep with me, that on your behalf he might minister to me in my chains for the gospel. 14 But without your consent I wanted to do nothing, (H)that your good deed might not be by compulsion, as it were, but voluntary.
15 For perhaps he departed for a while for this purpose, that you might receive him forever, 16 no longer as a slave but more than a slave—a beloved brother, especially to me but how much more to you, both in the (I)flesh and in the Lord.
Philemon’s Obedience Encouraged
17 If then you count me as a partner, receive him as you would me. 18 But if he has wronged you or owes anything, put that on my account. 19 I, Paul, am writing with my own (J)hand. I will repay—not to mention to you that you owe me even your own self besides. 20 Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in the Lord.
21 (K)Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I say. 22 But, meanwhile, also prepare a guest room for me, for (L)I trust that (M)through your prayers I shall be granted to you.
Farewell
23 (N)Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you, 24 as do (O)Mark, (P)Aristarchus, (Q)Demas, (R)Luke, my fellow laborers.
