沦陷的耶路撒冷
4 黄金竟失去光泽，
纯金竟变色，
宝石竟被弃之街头。
2 锡安的宝贝子民本来贵如黄金，
现在竟被视为陶匠制作的瓦器！
3 豺狼尚且哺养自己的幼儿，
我的子民却像荒野的鸵鸟一样残忍无情。
4 婴儿干渴难忍，舌头紧贴上膛；
孩童乞求食物，却无人给予。
5 昔日锦衣玉食、生活奢侈的，
如今却流落街头，
躺卧在粪堆中。
6 虽然无人攻击，所多玛却在顷刻之间倾覆。
我子民比所多玛受到的惩罚更重。
7 锡安的首领曾比雪纯净，
比奶更白，
身体比红宝石更红润，
相貌美如蓝宝石。
8 现在，他们的面目比煤炭还黑，
走在街上无人认得。
他们骨瘦如柴，干如枯木。
9 死于刀下的胜过死于饥饿的，
后者因田间缺粮而活活饿死。
10 我的百姓遭毁灭时，

也不再敬重长老。
17 我们望眼欲穿，
盼望援军的到来，
盼来的国家却无力拯救我们。
18 敌人步步紧逼，
使我们不敢上自己的街。
我们的结局近了，
我们的日子到头了，
我们的末日来了！
19 追赶我们的人比飞鹰更快，
他们在山上追捕我们，
在旷野伏击我们。
20 耶和华膏立的王——我们的生命之气落入他们的陷阱。
我们原希望借他的荫庇立足于列国中。
21 乌斯地区的以东人啊，
只管欢喜作乐吧！
因为盛满耶和华愤怒的杯也要传到你们那里。
你们必喝醉，以致赤身露体。
22 锡安城啊！你已经受到了应得的刑罚，
耶和华必不再使你流亡。

4 Como o ouro perdeu seu brilho!
Até o ouro mais puro ficou embaçado.
As pedras sagradas
estão espalhadas pelas ruas.
2 Vejam como os filhos preciosos de Sião,
que valem seu peso em ouro puro,
são tratados como vasos de barro
feitos por um oleiro qualquer.
3 Até os chacais amamentam seus filhotes,
mas meu povo não age assim.
Como as avestruzes no deserto,
ignora cruelmente o clamor de seus filhos.
4 A língua seca dos bebês
gruda no céu da boca, por causa da sede.
As crianças imploram por um pedaço de pão,
mas ninguém as atende.
5 Os que antes comiam as comidas mais finas
agora morrem de fome nas ruas.
Os que antes vestiam roupas da melhor qualidade
agora reviram os montes de lixo.
6 A culpa[a] de meu povo
é maior que a de Sodoma,
que foi destruída de repente,
e ninguém ofereceu ajuda.
7 Nossos príncipes eram radiantes de saúde,
mais brilhantes que a neve e mais brancos que o leite.
Seu rosto era rosado como rubis,
e sua aparência, como safiras.[b]
8 Agora, porém, seu rosto está mais escuro que fuligem;
ninguém os reconhece nas ruas.
Sua pele está pegada aos ossos,
seca como madeira.
9 Os que morreram pela espada foram mais felizes
que os que morrem de inanição.
Famintos, definham
por falta de alimento dos campos.
10 Mulheres de bom coração
cozinharam os próprios filhos.
Elas os comeram
para sobreviver ao cerco.
11 Agora, porém, a ira do Senhor está satisfeita;
sua ira ardente foi derramada.
Em Sião ele acendeu um fogo
que queimou a cidade até seus alicerces.
12 Nenhum rei em toda a terra,
ninguém no mundo inteiro,
poderia imaginar que o inimigo
entraria pelas portas de Jerusalém.
13 Mas foi o que aconteceu por causa do pecado de seus profetas
e da maldade de seus sacerdotes,
que profanaram a cidade
ao derramar sangue inocente.
14 Andavam sem destino pelas ruas,
como cegos,
tão contaminados de sangue

15 “Afastem-se!”, gritavam para eles.
“Estão contaminados! Não toquem em nós!”
Fugiram para terras distantes
e andaram sem rumo entre as nações,
mas nenhuma permitiu que ficassem.
16 O Senhor, em sua ira, os espalhou
e deixou de ajudá-los.
Ninguém mais respeita os sacerdotes
nem honra os líderes.
17 Esperamos em vão que nossos aliados
viessem nos socorrer.
Buscamos a ajuda de nações
incapazes de nos livrar.
18 Não podíamos sair às ruas,
pois nossos passos eram vigiados.
Nosso fim se aproximava, nossos dias estavam contados;
estávamos condenados!
19 Nossos inimigos eram mais rápidos que as águias no céu;
fugimos para as montanhas, mas eles nos perseguiram.
No deserto nos escondemos,
mas eles estavam ali, esperando por nós.
20 Nosso rei, o ungido do Senhor, a vida de nossa nação,
foi capturado nos laços deles.
E nós pensávamos que sua sombra
nos protegeria de qualquer nação da terra!
21 Ó povo de Edom,
você se alegra e exulta na terra de Uz?
Mas você também beberá do cálice da ira do Senhor;
também ficará embriagado e será despido.
22 Ó bela Sião,[c] o castigo de sua maldade chegará ao fim;
logo voltará do exílio.
Mas para você, Edom, o castigo está só começando;
logo seus muitos pecados serão expostos.

4 How has the zahav lost its luster! How is the most fine gold changed! The avnei kodesh are poured out on every street corner.
2 The precious Bnei Tziyon, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the yotzer (potter)!
3 Even the jackals offer the breast; they nurse their young ones; the Bat Ami is become heartless, like the ostriches in the midbar.
4 The leshon of the nursing infant cleaveth to the roof of his mouth for thirst; the olalim beg for lechem, and no man giveth it unto them.
5 They that did feed delicately are destitute in the chutzot; they that were brought up in purple lie on dunghills.
6 For the punishment of the iniquity of the Bat Ami is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands helped her.
7 Her nobles were purer than snow; they were whiter than cholov, they were more ruddy in body than rubies, their appearance was of sapphire;
8 Their visage is blacker than soot; they are not known in the streets; their skin cleaveth to their atzmot; it is dried up, it is become like a stick.
9 They that are slain with the cherev are better than they that are slain with hunger; for these pine away, being pierced for want of the increase of the sadeh.
10 The hands of the pitiful nashim have cooked their own yeladim; they were their meat in the destruction of the Bat Ami.
11 Hashem hath accomplished His fury; He hath poured out His charon af, and hath kindled an eish in Tziyon, and it hath devoured the yesodot thereof.
12 The malkhei eretz, and all the inhabitants of the tevel (world), would not have believed that the adversary and the oyev should have entered into the sha’arei Yerushalayim.
13 For the sins of her Nevi’im, and the iniquities of her Kohanim, that have shed the dahm of the Tzaddikim in the midst of her,
14 They have groped about like ivrim (blind men) in the streets; they have defiled themselves with dahm, so that men dare not touch their garments.
15 They cried unto them, Go away; tamei (unclean)! Depart, depart, touch not; so they fled away and wandered. They said among the Goyim, They shall no more sojourn there.
16 The anger of Hashem hath scattered them; He will no more regard them; they respected not the persons of the Kohanim; they showed no favor to the Zekenim.
17 As for us, our eyes failed looking in vain for ezratenu (our help); from our towers we have watched for a nation that could not save us.
18 They stalk our steps, that we cannot go in our streets; kitzeinu (our end) is near, our yamim are numbered; for kitzeinu is come.
19 Our pursuers are swifter than the eagles of Shomayim; they pursued us upon the mountains, they laid wait for us in the midbar.
20 The Moshiach of Hashem, who was our very life, was taken in their traps, of whom we said, Under his shadow [of protection] we shall live among the Goyim.
21 Rejoice and be glad, O Bat Edom, that dwellest in Eretz Uz; the kos (cup) also shall pass unto thee; thou shalt be drunk, and shalt be stripped naked.
22 The punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished, O Bat Tziyon; He will no more prolong your Golus; He will visit thine iniquity, O Bat Edom; He will expose thy sins.
