耶路撒冷沦陷

圣殿被掠

祭司与官吏遭戮
24 护卫长拿住大祭司西莱雅、副祭司西番亚和三个把门的， 25 又从城中拿住一个管理兵丁的官[a]，并在城里所遇常见王面的七个人和检点国民军长的书记，以及城里所遇见的国民六十个人。 26 护卫长尼布撒拉旦将这些人带到利比拉巴比伦王那里。 27 巴比伦王就把他们击杀在哈马地的利比拉。这样，犹大人被掳去离开本地。

52 Zedekiah was (B)twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of (C)Libnah. 2 He also did evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that Jehoiakim had done. 3 For because of the anger of the Lord this happened in Jerusalem and Judah, till He finally cast them out from His presence. Then Zedekiah (D)rebelled against the king of Babylon.
4 Now it came to pass in the (E)ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army came against Jerusalem and encamped against it; and they built a siege wall against it all around. 5 So the city was besieged until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah. 6 By the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month, the famine had become so severe in the city that there was no food for the people of the land. 7 Then the city wall was broken through, and all the men of war fled and went out of the city at night by way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king’s garden, even though the Chaldeans were near the city all around. And they went by way of the [a]plain.
8 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king, and they overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho. All his army was scattered from him. 9 (F)So they took the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, and he pronounced judgment on him. 10 (G)Then the king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. And he killed all the princes of Judah in Riblah. 11 He also (H)put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in [b]bronze fetters, took him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.
The Temple and City Plundered and Burned
12 (I)Now in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month ((J)which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), (K)Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, who served the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. 13 He burned the house of the Lord and the king’s house; all the houses of Jerusalem, that is, all the houses of the great, he burned with fire. 14 And all the army of the Chaldeans who were with the captain of the guard broke down all the walls of Jerusalem all around. 15 (L)Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive some of the poor people, the rest of the people who remained in the city, the defectors who had deserted to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the craftsmen. 16 But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left some of the poor of the land as vinedressers and farmers.
17 (M)The (N)bronze pillars that were in the house of the Lord, and the carts and the bronze Sea that were in the house of the Lord, the Chaldeans broke in pieces, and carried all their bronze to Babylon. 18 They also took away (O)the pots, the shovels, the trimmers, the [c]bowls, the spoons, and all the bronze utensils with which the priests ministered. 19 The basins, the firepans, the bowls, the pots, the lampstands, the spoons, and the cups, whatever was solid gold and whatever was solid silver, the captain of the guard took away. 20 The two pillars, one Sea, the twelve bronze bulls which were under it, and the carts, which King Solomon had made for the house of the Lord—(P)the bronze of all these articles was beyond measure. 21 Now concerning the (Q)pillars: the height of one pillar was eighteen [d]cubits, a measuring line of twelve cubits could measure its circumference, and its thickness was [e]four fingers; it was hollow. 22 A capital of bronze was on it; and the height of one capital was five cubits, with a network and pomegranates all around the capital, all of bronze. The second pillar, with pomegranates was the same. 23 There were ninety-six pomegranates on the sides; (R)all the pomegranates, all around on the network, were one hundred.
The People Taken Captive to Babylonia
24 (S)The captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, (T)Zephaniah the second priest, and the three doorkeepers. 25 He also took out of the city an [f]officer who had charge of the men of war, seven men of the king’s close associates who were found in the city, the principal scribe of the army who mustered the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land who were found in the midst of the city. 26 And Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took these and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah. 27 Then the king of Babylon struck them and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive from its own land.
28 (U)These are the people whom Nebuchadnezzar carried away captive: (V)in the seventh year, (W)three thousand and twenty-three Jews; 29 (X)in the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred and thirty-two persons; 30 in the twenty-third year of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred and forty-five persons. All the persons were four thousand six hundred.
Jehoiachin Released from Prison(Y)
31 (Z)Now it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-fifth day of the month, that [g]Evil-Merodach king of Babylon, in the first year of his reign, (AA)lifted[h] up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah and brought him out of prison. 32 And he spoke kindly to him and gave him a more prominent seat than those of the kings who were with him in Babylon. 33 So [i]Jehoiachin changed from his prison garments, (AB)and he ate bread regularly before the king all the days of his life. 34 And as for his provisions, there was a regular ration given him by the king of Babylon, a portion for each day until the day of his death, all the days of his life.

Siège et prise de Jérusalem
52 Sédécias avait 21 ans lorsqu'il devint roi et il régna 11 ans à Jérusalem. Sa mère s'appelait Hamuthal et c’était la fille de Jérémie, de Libna.
2 Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Eternel, entièrement comme l’avait fait Jojakim. 3 Cela arriva à cause de la colère de l'Eternel contre Jérusalem et contre Juda: il était si irrité qu'il voulait les rejeter loin de lui. Sédécias se révolta contre le roi de Babylone.
4 Alors, la neuvième année du règne de Sédécias, le dixième jour du dixième mois, Nebucadnetsar, le roi de Babylone, vint avec toute son armée attaquer Jérusalem. Ils installèrent leur camp devant elle et construisirent des retranchements tout autour d’elle. 5 Le siège de la ville dura jusqu'à la onzième année du règne de Sédécias.
6 Le neuvième jour du quatrième mois, la famine était si forte dans la ville qu’il n'y avait plus de pain pour la population du pays. 7 Alors on fit une brèche dans les remparts de la ville et tous les hommes de guerre s'enfuirent et sortirent de la ville pendant la nuit en passant par la porte située entre les deux murailles près du jardin du roi, alors même que les Babyloniens encerclaient la ville. Les fuyards prirent le chemin de la plaine. 8 Cependant, l'armée babylonienne poursuivit le roi et rattrapa Sédécias dans les plaines de Jéricho. Toute son armée se dispersa loin de lui. 9 Ils s’emparèrent du roi et le firent monter vers le roi de Babylone à Ribla, dans le pays de Hamath. Nebucadnetsar prononça des jugements contre lui. 10 Le roi de Babylone fit égorger les fils de Sédécias en sa présence; il fit aussi égorger tous les chefs de Juda à Ribla. 11 Puis il fit crever les yeux à Sédécias et le fit attacher avec des chaînes en bronze. Le roi de Babylone le conduisit à Babylone et le jeta en prison, jusqu'au jour de sa mort.
12 Le dixième jour du cinquième mois – c'était la dix-neuvième année du règne de Nebucadnetsar sur Babylone – Nebuzaradan, le chef des gardes qui était au service du roi de Babylone, pénétra dans Jérusalem. 13 Il brûla la maison de l'Eternel, le palais royal et toutes les maisons de Jérusalem. Il livra aux flammes toutes les maisons d’une certaine importance. 14 Toute l'armée babylonienne qui accompagnait le chef des gardes démolit la totalité des murailles formant l'enceinte de Jérusalem.
15 Nebuzaradan, le chef des gardes, emmena en exil une partie des pauvres du peuple, les membres du peuple qui étaient restés dans la ville, ceux qui s'étaient déjà rendus au roi de Babylone et tout le reste des artisans. 16 Toutefois, Nebuzaradan, le chef des gardes, laissa comme vignerons et comme agriculteurs une partie des pauvres du pays.
17 Les Babyloniens brisèrent les colonnes en bronze qui étaient dans la maison de l'Eternel, ainsi que les bases et la cuve en bronze qui s’y trouvaient, et ils en emportèrent tout le bronze à Babylone. 18 Ils prirent les cendriers, les pelles, les couteaux, les coupes, les tasses et tous les ustensiles en bronze qu’on utilisait pour le culte. 19 Le chef des gardes prit encore les bassins, les brûle-parfums, les coupes, les cendriers, les chandeliers, les tasses et les gobelets, aussi bien ce qui était en or que ce qui était en argent. 20 Quant aux deux colonnes, à la cuve et aux 12 bœufs en bronze qui servaient de base, ceux que le roi Salomon avait faits pour la maison de l'Eternel, il était impossible de peser le bronze de tous ces éléments. 21 La hauteur d'une colonne était de 9 mètres et l’on pouvait en faire le tour avec un cordon de 6 mètres. Elle était creuse, derrière une épaisseur de bronze de 8 centimètres. 22 Il y avait au-dessus un chapiteau en bronze. Il était haut de 2 mètres et demi; autour du chapiteau il y avait un treillis et des grenades, le tout en bronze. Il en allait de même pour la seconde colonne, aussi avec des grenades. 23 Il y avait 96 grenades de chaque côté et un total de 100 grenades autour du treillis.
24 Le chef des gardes captura le grand-prêtre Seraja, le prêtre adjoint Sophonie et les trois gardiens de l’entrée. 25 Dans la ville, il captura un eunuque qui commandait aux hommes de guerre, 7 hommes qui faisaient partie des conseillers du roi et qu’on trouva dans la ville, le secrétaire du chef de l'armée chargé d'enrôler la population du pays, ainsi que 60 hommes pris parmi la population du pays qu’on trouva dans la ville. 26 Nebuzaradan, le chef des gardes, les captura et les conduisit vers le roi de Babylone à Ribla, 27 et le roi de Babylone les frappa à mort à Ribla, dans le pays de Hamath. C’est ainsi que Juda partit en exil loin de sa terre.
28 Voici la population que Nebucadnetsar emmena en exil: la septième année de son règne, 3023 Juifs; 29 la dix-huitième année de son règne, il emmena de Jérusalem 832 personnes; 30 la vingt-troisième année de son règne, Nebuzaradan, le chef des gardes, emmena en exil 745 Juifs. Cela fait un total de 4600 personnes.
Libération de Jojakin
31 La trente-septième année de l’exil de Jojakin, roi de Juda, le vingt-cinquième jour du douzième mois, Evil-Merodac, le roi de Babylone, releva la tête du roi de Juda Jojakin et le fit sortir de prison. C’était la première année de son règne. 32 Il lui parla avec bonté et lui donna une place supérieure à celle des autres rois retenus avec lui à Babylone. 33 Il lui fit changer ses habits de prisonnier et Jojakin mangea à sa table tout le reste de sa vie. 34 Le roi de Babylone pourvut constamment à son entretien journalier durant tout le reste de sa vie, jusqu'au jour de sa mort.
