耶利米书 4:7-9

⁷毁灭列国者已发起攻击，
如狮子冲出巢穴，
要使你们的土地荒凉，
城邑沦为废墟，无人居住。
⁸为此，你们要腰束麻布，
嚎啕大哭，
因为耶和华向我们发的烈怒还没有止息。

⁹耶和华说：“到那天，君王和官长必丧胆，祭司和先知必惊骇。”

New International Version

⁷A lion^(A) has come out of his lair;^(B)
    a destroyer^(C) of nations has set out.
He has left his place
    to lay waste^(D) your land.
Your towns will lie in ruins^(E)
    without inhabitant.
⁸So put on sackcloth,^(F)
    lament^(G) and wail,
for the fierce anger^(H) of the Lord
    has not turned away from us.

⁹“In that day,” declares the Lord,
“the king and the officials will lose heart,^(I)
the priests will be horrified,
and the prophets will be appalled.”^(J)

⁷The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.

⁸For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the Lord is not turned back from us.

⁹And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the Lord, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.
