Jeremiah 31:34-36
English Standard Version
34 And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ (A)for they shall all know me, (B)from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For (C)I will forgive their iniquity, and (D)I will remember their sin no more.”
35 Thus says the Lord,
who (E)gives the sun for light by day
and (F)the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night,
who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—
(G)the Lord of hosts is his name:
36 (H)“If this fixed order departs
from before me, declares the Lord,
then shall the offspring of Israel cease
from being a nation before me forever.”

35 This is what the Lord says,
He who (E)gives the sun for light by day
And the [a]fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night,
Who (F)stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—
(G)The Lord of armies is His name:
36 “(H)If [b]this fixed order departs
From Me,” declares the Lord,
“Then the descendants of Israel also will (I)cease
To be a nation before Me [c]forever.”

34 Og þeir skulu ekki framar kenna hver öðrum, né einn bróðirinn öðrum, og segja: "Lærið að þekkja Drottin," því að þeir munu allir þekkja mig, bæði smáir og stórir _ segir Drottinn. Því að ég mun fyrirgefa misgjörð þeirra og ekki framar minnast syndar þeirra.
35 Svo segir Drottinn, sem sett hefir sólina til að lýsa um daga, tunglið og stjörnurnar til að lýsa um nætur, sá er æsir hafið, svo að bylgjurnar gnýja _ Drottinn allsherjar er nafn hans:
