耶利米的蒙召
1 便雅悯地亚拿突城的一位祭司，希勒家的儿子耶利米的话记在下面。 2 犹大王亚们的儿子约西亚作王第十三年，耶和华的话临到耶利米。 3 从犹大王约西亚的儿子约雅敬年间，直到犹大王约西亚的儿子西底家末年，就是第十一年五月，耶路撒冷人被掳的时候，耶和华的话也常临到耶利米。
4 耶和华的话临到我，说：
5 “我使你在母腹中成形以先，就认识你；
你还未出母胎，我已把你分别为圣，
立你作列国的先知。”
6 我就说：“主耶和华啊！
我不晓得说话，
因为我年轻。”
7 耶和华对我说：
“你不要说：‘我年轻’，
因为无论我差你到谁那里，你都要去；
无论我吩咐你说甚么，你都要说。
8 你不要怕他们，
因为我与你同在，要拯救你。”
这是耶和华的宣告。
9 于是耶和华伸手按着我的口，对我说：
“看哪！我把我的话放在你口中。
10 今日我立你在列邦列国之上，
为要拔出、拆毁、
毁灭、倾覆，
又要建立和栽植。”

11 耶和华的话又临到我，说：“耶利米，你看见甚么？”我说：“我看见一根杏树枝子。” 12 耶和华对我说：“你看得不错，因为我要留意使我的话成就。”
13 耶和华的话再次临到我，说：“你看见甚么？”我说：“我看见一个沸腾的锅，锅口从北面向南倾侧。” 14 耶和华对我说：“必有灾祸从北方发出，临到这地所有的居民。 15 看哪！我要呼召北方列国的众族，他们要来，各人在耶路撒冷的城门口，设立自己的座位，攻击耶路撒冷周围的城墙，又攻击犹大各城镇。”这是耶和华的宣告。 16 “为了他们的一切恶事，就是离弃我，向别神烧香，叩拜自己手所做的，我要宣判他们的罪。

17 “因此，你要束腰，你要起来，把我吩咐你的一切话，都告诉他们。不要因他们惊惶，不然我就使你在他们面前惊惶。 18 看哪！今日我使你成为坚城、铁柱、铜墙，抵挡全地，就是抵挡犹大的君王、首领、祭司和这地的众民。 19 他们必攻击你，却不能胜过你，因为我与你同在，要拯救你。”这是耶和华的宣告。

4 耶和华对我说：
5 “我还没有使你在母腹中成形，就认识你；
你还未出生，我已使你圣洁，
立你做万国的先知。”
6 我回答说：“主耶和华啊，我太年轻，不懂得怎样说话。” 7 耶和华却说：
“不要说你太年轻，
我派你去谁那里，
你就去谁那里；
我吩咐你说什么，
你就说什么。
8 谁也不要怕，
因为我与你同在，
我必拯救你。
这是耶和华说的。”
9 然后，耶和华伸手摸我的口，对我说：“看啊，我已把我的话放在你口中。 10 今日，我派你到列邦列国去拔掉、拆除、毁灭、推翻、建造和栽植。”

13 耶和华又对我说：“你看见什么？”我回答说：“我看见一锅煮沸的水，从北方倾倒下来。” 14 耶和华说：“不错。因为有灾祸要从北方降临到这地方的一切居民。 15 我要召来北方各国，他们要在耶路撒冷的城门自立王位，攻打耶路撒冷周围的城墙和犹大各城邑。这是耶和华说的。 16 我要审判他们，因为他们犯罪作恶，背弃我，给别的神明烧香，又跪拜自己制造的神像。 17 现在，你要做好准备，去把我吩咐你的话告诉他们。不要惧怕他们，不然我将使你在他们面前充满恐惧。 18 看啊，今天我已使你成为坚城、铁柱、铜墙，来对抗整个犹大，对抗犹大的君王、首领、祭司和境内的众民。 19 他们必攻击你，但绝不能胜过你，因为我与你同在，我必拯救你。这是耶和华说的。”

1 The words of Jeremiah, the son of Hilkiah, one (A)of the priests who were in (B)Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, 2 to whom the word of the Lord came in the days of (C)Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in (D)the thirteenth year of his reign. 3 It came also in the days of (E)Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, and (F)until the end of the eleventh year of (G)Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, (H)until the captivity of Jerusalem in the fifth month.
The Call of Jeremiah
4 Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
5 (I)“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born (J)I consecrated you;
I appointed you a prophet (K)to the nations.”
6 Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, (L)I do not know how to speak, (M)for I am only a youth.” 7 But the Lord said to me,
“Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’;
for to all to whom I send you, you shall go,
and (N)whatever I command you, you shall speak.
8 (O)Do not be afraid of them,
(P)for I am with you to deliver you,
declares the Lord.”
9 (Q)Then the Lord put out his hand and (R)touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me,
“Behold, I have put (S)my words in your mouth.
10 See, I have set you this day (T)over nations and over kingdoms,
(U)to pluck up and to break down,
to destroy and to overthrow,
to build and to plant.”
11 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, (V)“Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see an almond[a] branch.” 12 Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.”
13 The word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see (W)a boiling pot, facing away (X)from the north.” 14 Then the Lord said to me, (Y)“Out of the north disaster[b] shall be let loose upon all the inhabitants of the land. 15 For behold, (Z)I am calling all the tribes of the kingdoms of the north, declares the Lord, (AA)and they shall come, and every one shall set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, against all its walls all round and against all the cities of Judah. 16 And (AB)I will declare my judgements against them, for all their evil (AC)in forsaking me. (AD)They have made offerings to other gods and (AE)worshipped the works of their own hands. 17 But you, (AF)dress yourself for work;[c] arise, and (AG)say to them everything that I command you. (AH)Do not be dismayed by them, lest I dismay you before them. 18 And I, behold, I make you this day (AI)a fortified city, (AJ)an iron pillar, and (AK)bronze walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests, and the people of the land. 19 (AL)They will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you, for (AM)I am with you, declares the Lord, to deliver you.”
