³⁹耶稣说：“我为了审判来到这世界，使瞎眼的可以看见，使看得见的反成了瞎眼的。”

⁴⁰有些跟祂在一起的法利赛人听了这句话，就问：“难道我们也瞎了眼吗？”

⁴¹耶稣说：“如果你们是瞎眼的，就没有罪了。但现在你们自称看得见，所以你们的罪还在。”

⁴⁰Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, “What? Are we blind too?”^(E)

⁴¹Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.^(F)
