¹⁷他們再對瞎子說：“他既然開了你的眼睛，你說他是甚麼人？”他說：“他是個先知。”

¹⁸猶太人不信他從前是瞎眼，現在才能看見的，於是把他的父母叫來， ¹⁹問他們：“這是你們所說那生下來就瞎眼的兒子嗎？現在他怎麼又能看見呢？”

English Standard Version

¹⁷So they said again to the blind man, “What do you say about him, since he has opened your eyes?” He said, ^(A)“He is a prophet.”

¹⁸^(B)The Jews^[a] did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of the man who had received his sight ¹⁹and asked them, “Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”
