¹⁹耶稣说：“我实实在在地告诉你们，子凭自己什么都不能做，唯有看见父做什么，子才做什么。无论父做什么，子也照样做。 ²⁰父因为爱子，便把自己的一切作为给祂看，而且还要把比这些更大的作为给祂看，叫你们惊奇。 ²¹父如何使死人复活、赐生命给他们，子也照样想赐生命给谁，就赐给谁。 ²²父不审判人，祂将审判的事全交给子， ²³叫人尊敬子如同尊敬父。不尊敬子的，就是不尊敬差子来的父。

²⁴“我实实在在地告诉你们，谁听从我的话，又信差我来的那位，谁就有永生，不被定罪，已经出死入生了。 ²⁵我实实在在地告诉你们，时候快到了，现在就是，死人将听见上帝儿子的声音，听见的将存活。 ²⁶因为正如父自己是生命的源头，祂也同样让子作生命的源头， ²⁷又把审判的权柄交给祂，因为祂是人子。 ²⁸你们不要因此而惊奇，时候一到，一切在坟墓里的死人都要听见上帝儿子的声音， ²⁹他们都要从坟墓里出来。行善的人复活后得永生，作恶的人复活后被定罪。”

¹⁹Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself;^(A) he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. ²⁰For the Father loves the Son^(B) and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these,^(C) so that you will be amazed. ²¹For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life,^(D) even so the Son gives life^(E) to whom he is pleased to give it. ²²Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son,^(F) ²³that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.^(G)

²⁴“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me^(H) has eternal life^(I) and will not be judged^(J) but has crossed over from death to life.^(K) ²⁵Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come^(L) when the dead will hear^(M) the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. ²⁶For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life^(N) in himself. ²⁷And he has given him authority to judge^(O) because he is the Son of Man.

²⁸“Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming^(P) when all who are in their graves will hear his voice ²⁹and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.^(Q) ³⁰By myself I can do nothing;^(R) I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just,^(S) for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.^(T)

¹⁹Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

²⁰For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

²¹For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

²²For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

²³That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

²⁴Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

²⁵Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

²⁶For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

²⁷And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

²⁸Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

²⁹And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

³⁰I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

Life and Judgment Are Through the Son
