4 主知道法利赛人听见他收门徒和施洗比约翰更多（ 2 其实不是耶稣亲自施洗，而是他的门徒施洗）， 3 就离开了犹太，再往加利利去。 4 他必须经过撒玛利亚。 5 于是到了撒玛利亚的一座城，名叫叙加；这城靠近雅各给他儿子约瑟的那块地。 6 在那里有雅各井。耶稣因为旅途疲倦了，就坐在井旁；那时大约正午。

必须用心灵按真理敬拜 神
16 耶稣说：“你去，叫你的丈夫，然后回到这里来。” 17 妇人对他说：“我没有丈夫。”耶稣说：“你说‘没有丈夫’是不错的。 18 你以前有五个丈夫，现在有的并不是你的丈夫；你说这话是真的。” 19 妇人说：“先生，我看出你是先知。 20 我们的祖先在这山上敬拜 神，而你们却说，敬拜的地方必须在耶路撒冷。” 21 耶稣说：“妇人，你应当信我，时候将到，那时你们敬拜父，不在这山上，也不在耶路撒冷。 22 你们敬拜你们所不知道的，我们却敬拜我们所知道的，因为救恩是从犹太人出来的。 23 然而时候将到，现在就是了，那用心灵按真理敬拜父的，才是真正敬拜的人；因为父在寻找这样敬拜他的人。 24 神是灵，敬拜他的必须借着灵按真理敬拜他。” 25 妇人说：“我知道那称为基督的弥赛亚要来；他来了，要把一切都告诉我们。” 26 耶稣说：“我这现在跟你说话的就是他。”
27 正在这时候，门徒回来了，见耶稣和一个妇人说话，就很希奇；但是没有人问：“你要甚么？”或说：“你为甚么跟她说话？” 28 那妇人撇下了她的水罐，进到城里去，对众人说： 29 “你们来，看看一个人，他把我所作的一切都说出来，难道这人就是基督吗？” 30 众人就出城，往耶稣那里去。
庄稼已经熟了
31 当时，门徒对耶稣说：“拉比，请吃。” 32 耶稣说：“我有食物吃，是你们所不知道的。” 33 门徒就彼此说：“难道有人拿东西给他吃了吗？” 34 耶稣说：“我的食物就是遵行差我来者的旨意，并且完成他的工作。 35 你们不是说‘还有四个月才到收获的时候’吗？我告诉你们，举目向田观看，庄稼已经熟了，可以收割了。 36 收割的人得到工资，也积储五谷直到永生，使撒种的和收割的一同快乐。 37 ‘这人撒种，那人收割’，这话是真的。 38 我派你们去收割你们所没有劳苦的；别人劳苦，你们却享受他们劳苦的成果。”
39 因着那妇人作见证的话：“他把我所作的一切都说出来了”，那城里就有许多撒玛利亚人信了耶稣。 40 于是他们来到耶稣那里，求他和他们同住，耶稣就在那里住了两天。 41 因着耶稣的话，信他的人就更多了。 42 他们就对那妇人说：“现在我们信，不再是因为你的话，而是因为我们亲自听见了，知道这位真是世人的救主。”
治好大臣的儿子
43 两天之后，耶稣离开那里，往加利利去。 44 耶稣自己说过：“先知在本乡是不受尊敬的。” 45 耶稣到了加利利的时候，加利利人都欢迎他，因为他们曾经上耶路撒冷去过节，见过他所行的一切。
46 耶稣又到了加利利的迦拿，就是他变水为酒的地方。有一个大臣，他的儿子在迦百农患病。 47 他听见耶稣从犹太到了加利利，就来见他，求他下去医治他的儿子，因为他的儿子快要死了。 48 耶稣对他说：“你们若看不见神迹奇事，总是不肯信。” 49 大臣说：“先生，求你趁我的孩子还没有死就下去吧！” 50 耶稣告诉他：“回去吧，你的儿子好了。”那人信耶稣对他说的话，就回去了。 51 正下去的时候，他的仆人迎着他走来，说他的孩子好了。 52 他就向仆人查问孩子是甚么时候好转的。他们告诉他：“昨天下午一点钟，热就退了。” 53 这父亲就知道，那正是耶稣告诉他“你的儿子好了”的时候，他自己和全家就信了。 54 这是耶稣从犹太回到加利利以后所行的第二件神迹。

3 Dejó á Judea, y fuése otra vez á Galilea.
4 Y era menester que pasase por Samaria.
5 Vino, pues, á una ciudad de Samaria que se llamaba Sichâr, junto á la heredad que Jacob dió á José su hijo.
6 Y estaba allí la fuente de Jacob. Pues Jesús, cansado del camino, así se sentó á la fuente. Era como la hora de sexta.
7 Vino una mujer de Samaria á sacar agua: y Jesús le dice: Dame de beber.
8 (Porque sus discípulos habían ido á la ciudad á comprar de comer.)
9 Y la mujer Samaritana le dice: ¿Cómo tú, siendo Judío, me pides á mí de beber, que soy mujer Samaritana? porque los Judíos no se tratan con los Samaritanos.
10 Respondió Jesús y díjole: Si conocieses el don de Dios, y quién es el que te dice: Dame de beber: tú pedirías de él, y él te daría agua viva.
11 La mujer le dice: Señor, no tienes con qué sacar la, y el pozo es hondo: ¿de dónde, pues, tienes el agua viva?
12 ¿Eres tú mayor que nuestro padre Jacob, que nos dió este pozo, del cual él bebió, y sus hijos, y sus ganados?
13 Respondió Jesús y díjole: Cualquiera que bebiere de esta agua, volverá á tener sed;
14 Mas el que bebiere del agua que yo le daré, para siempre no tendrá sed: mas el agua que yo le daré, será en él una fuente de agua que salte para vida eterna.
15 La mujer le dice: Señor, dame esta agua, para que no tenga sed, ni venga acá á sacar la.
16 Jesús le dice: Ve, llama á tu marido, y ven acá.
17 Respondió la mujer, y dijo: No tengo marido. Dícele Jesús: Bien has dicho, No tengo marido;
18 Porque cinco maridos has tenido: y el que ahora tienes no es tu marido; esto has dicho con verdad.
19 Dícele la mujer: Señor, paréceme que tú eres profeta.
20 Nuestros padres adoraron en este monte, y vosotros decís que en Jerusalem es el lugar donde es necesario adorar.
21 Dícele Jesús: Mujer, créeme, que la hora viene, cuando ni en este monte, ni en Jerusalem adoraréis al Padre.
22 Vosotros adoráis lo que no sabéis; nosotros adoramos lo que sabemos: porque la salud viene de los Judíos.
23 Mas la hora viene, y ahora es, cuando los verdaderos adoradores adorarán al Padre en espíritu y en verdad; porque también el Padre tales adoradores busca que adoren.
24 Dios es Espíritu; y los que le adoran, en espíritu y en verdad es necesario que adoren.

34 Díceles Jesús: Mi comida es que haga la voluntad del que me envió, y que acabe su obra.
35 ¿No decís vosotros: Aun hay cuatro meses hasta que llegue la siega? He aquí os digo: Alzad vuestros ojos, y mirad las regiones, porque ya están blancas para la siega.
36 Y el que siega, recibe salario, y allega fruto para vida eterna; para que el que siembra también goce, y el que siega.
37 Porque en esto es el dicho verdadero: Que uno es el que siembra, y otro es el que siega.
38 Yo os he enviado á segar lo que vosotros no labrasteis: otros labraron, y vosotros habéis entrado en sus labores.
39 Y muchos de los Samaritanos de aquella ciudad creyeron en él por la palabra de la mujer, que daba testimonio, diciendo: Que me dijo todo lo que he hecho.
40 Viniendo pues los Samaritanos á él, rogáronle que se quedase allí: y se quedó allí dos días.
41 Y creyeron muchos más por la palabra de él.
42 Y decían á la mujer: Ya no creemos por tu dicho; porque nosotros mismos hemos oído, y sabemos que verdaderamente éste es el Salvador del mundo, el Cristo.
43 Y dos días después, salió de allí, y fuése á Galilea.
44 Porque el mismo Jesús dió testimonio de que el profeta en su tierra no tiene honra.
45 Y como vino á Galilea, los Galileos le recibieron, vistas todas las cosas que había hecho en Jerusalem en el día de la fiesta: porque también ellos habían ido á la fiesta.
46 Vino pues Jesús otra vez á Caná de Galilea, donde había hecho el vino del agua. Y había en Capernaum uno del rey, cuyo hijo estaba enfermo.
47 Este, como oyó que Jesús venía de Judea á Galilea, fué á él, y rogábale que descendiese, y sanase á su hijo, porque se comenzaba á morir.
48 Entonces Jesús le dijo: Si no viereis señales y milagros no creeréis.
49 El del rey le dijo: Señor, desciende antes que mi hijo muera.
50 Dícele Jesús: Ve, tu hijo vive. Y el hombre creyó á la palabra que Jesús le dijo, y se fué.
51 Y cuando ya él descendía, los siervos le salieron á recibir, y le dieron nuevas, diciendo: Tu hijo vive.
52 Entonces él les preguntó á qué hora comenzó á estar mejor. Y dijéronle: Ayer á las siete le dejó la fiebre.
53 El padre entonces entendió, que aquella hora era cuando Jesús le dijo: Tu hijo vive; y creyó él y toda su casa.
54 Esta segunda señal volvió Jesús á hacer, cuando vino de Judea á Galilea.

4 1-2 Den Pharisäern war zu Ohren gekommen, dass Jesus noch mehr Nachfolger gewann und taufte als Johannes – obwohl er nicht einmal selbst taufte, sondern nur seine Jünger. Als Jesus das erfuhr, 3 verließ er Judäa und kehrte nach Galiläa zurück. 4 Sein Weg führte ihn auch durch Samarien, 5 unter anderem nach Sychar. Dieser Ort liegt in der Nähe des Feldes, das Jakob seinem Sohn Josef geschenkt hatte.[a] 6 Dort befand sich der Jakobsbrunnen. Müde von der Wanderung setzte sich Jesus an den Brunnen. Es war um die Mittagszeit.
7 Da kam eine Samariterin aus der nahe gelegenen Stadt zum Brunnen, um Wasser zu holen. Jesus bat sie: »Gib mir etwas zu trinken!« 8 Denn seine Jünger waren in die Stadt gegangen, um etwas zu essen einzukaufen.
9 Die Frau war überrascht, denn normalerweise wollten die Juden nichts mit den Samaritern zu tun haben. Sie sagte: »Du bist doch ein Jude! Wieso bittest du mich um Wasser? Schließlich bin ich eine samaritische Frau!«
10 Jesus antwortete ihr: »Wenn du wüsstest, was Gott dir geben will und wer dich hier um Wasser bittet, würdest du mich um das Wasser bitten, das du wirklich zum Leben brauchst[b]. Und ich würde es dir geben.«
11 »Aber Herr«, meinte da die Frau, »du hast doch gar nichts, womit du Wasser schöpfen kannst, und der Brunnen ist tief! Wo willst du denn das Wasser für mich hernehmen? 12 Kannst du etwa mehr als Jakob, unser Stammvater, der diesen Brunnen gegraben hat? Er selbst, seine Söhne und sein Vieh haben schon daraus getrunken.«
13 Jesus erwiderte: »Wer dieses Wasser trinkt, wird bald wieder durstig sein. 14 Wer aber von dem Wasser trinkt, das ich ihm gebe, der wird nie wieder Durst bekommen. Dieses Wasser wird in ihm zu einer nie versiegenden Quelle, die ewiges Leben schenkt[c].«
15 »Dann gib mir von diesem Wasser, Herr«, bat die Frau, »damit ich nie mehr durstig bin und nicht immer wieder herkommen und Wasser holen muss!« 16 Jesus entgegnete: »Geh und ruf deinen Mann. Dann kommt beide hierher!« 17 »Ich bin nicht verheiratet«, wandte die Frau ein. »Das stimmt«, erwiderte Jesus, »verheiratet bist du nicht. 18 Fünf Männer hast du gehabt, und der, mit dem du jetzt zusammenlebst, ist nicht dein Mann. Da hast du die Wahrheit gesagt.«
19 Erstaunt sagte die Frau: »Ich sehe, Herr, du bist ein Prophet! 20 Kannst du mir dann eine Frage beantworten? Unsere Vorfahren haben Gott auf diesem Berg dort[d] angebetet. Warum also behauptet ihr Juden, man könne Gott nur in Jerusalem anbeten?«
21 Jesus antwortete: »Glaub mir, die Zeit kommt, in der ihr Gott, den Vater, weder auf diesem Berg noch in Jerusalem anbeten werdet. 22 Ihr wisst ja nicht einmal, wer der ist, den ihr anbetet. Wir aber wissen, zu wem wir beten. Denn das Heil der Welt kommt von den Juden. 23 Doch es kommt die Zeit – ja, sie ist schon da –, in der die Menschen den Vater überall anbeten werden, weil sie von seinem Geist und seiner Wahrheit erfüllt sind. Von solchen Menschen will der Vater angebetet werden. 24 Denn Gott ist Geist. Und wer Gott anbeten will, muss von seinem Geist erfüllt sein und in seiner Wahrheit leben.[e]«
25 Die Frau entgegnete: »Ja, ich weiß, dass einmal der Messias kommen soll, der von Gott versprochene Retter.« – Auf Griechisch nennt man ihn auch den Christus. – »Wenn dieser kommt, wird er uns das alles erklären.« 26 Da sagte Jesus: »Du sprichst mit ihm. Ich bin es.«
27 Als seine Jünger aus der Stadt zurückkamen, wunderten sie sich, dass er mit einer Frau redete.[f] Aber keiner fragte ihn: »Was willst du von ihr? Warum sprichst du mit ihr?« 28 Da ließ die Frau ihren Wasserkrug stehen, lief in die Stadt und rief allen Leuten zu: 29 »Kommt mit! Ich habe einen Mann getroffen, der alles von mir weiß! Vielleicht ist er der Messias!« 30 Neugierig liefen die Leute aus der Stadt zu Jesus.
31 Inzwischen hatten ihm seine Jünger zugeredet: »Rabbi, iss doch etwas!« 32 Aber er sagte zu ihnen: »Ich habe eine Speise, von der ihr nichts wisst.« 33 »Hat ihm wohl jemand etwas zu essen gebracht?«, fragten sich die Jünger untereinander.
34 Aber Jesus erklärte ihnen: »Ich lebe davon, dass ich Gottes Willen erfülle und sein Werk zu Ende führe. Dazu hat er mich in diese Welt gesandt. 35 Habt ihr nicht selbst gesagt: ›Es dauert noch vier Monate, dann beginnt die Ernte‹?[g] Ich dagegen sage euch: Macht doch eure Augen auf und seht euch die Felder an! Das Getreide ist schon reif für die Ernte. 36 Wer sie einbringt, bekommt schon jetzt seinen Lohn und sammelt Frucht für das ewige Leben. Beide sollen sich über die Ernte freuen: wer gesät hat und wer die Ernte einbringt. 37 Hier trifft das Sprichwort zu: ›Einer sät, der andere erntet.‹ 38 Ich habe euch auf ein Feld geschickt, das ihr nicht bestellt habt, damit ihr dort ernten sollt. Andere haben sich vor euch abgemüht, und ihr erntet die Früchte ihrer Arbeit.«
39 Viele Leute aus Sychar glaubten allein deshalb an Jesus, weil die Frau überall erzählt hatte: »Dieser Mann weiß alles, was ich getan habe.« 40 Als sie nun zu Jesus kamen, baten sie ihn, länger bei ihnen zu bleiben, und er blieb noch zwei Tage. 41 So konnten ihn alle hören, und daraufhin glaubten noch viel mehr Menschen an ihn. 42 Sie sagten zu der Frau: »Jetzt glauben wir nicht nur deshalb an Jesus, weil du uns von ihm erzählt hast. Wir haben ihn jetzt selbst gehört und wissen: Er ist wirklich der Retter der Welt!«
Jesus heilt ein schwer krankes Kind
43 Jesus blieb zwei Tage in Sychar, dann zog er weiter nach Galiläa. 44 Er selbst hatte zwar einmal gesagt, dass ein Prophet in seiner Heimat nichts gilt. 45 Als er aber dort ankam, nahmen ihn die Galiläer freundlich auf. Sie waren nämlich während des Passahfestes in Jerusalem gewesen und hatten alles miterlebt, was er dort getan hatte.
46 Auf seinem Weg durch Galiläa kam Jesus auch wieder nach Kana, wo er Wasser in Wein verwandelt hatte. In Kapernaum lebte damals ein königlicher Beamter, dessen Sohn sehr krank war. 47 Als dieser Mann hörte, dass Jesus aus Judäa nach Galiläa zurückgekehrt war, ging er zu ihm und flehte: »Komm schnell in mein Haus und heile meinen Sohn; er liegt im Sterben!«
48 »Wenn ihr nicht Zeichen und Wunder zu sehen bekommt, glaubt ihr nie«, sagte Jesus zu ihm. 49 Der Beamte bat ihn: »Herr, komm bitte mit, bevor mein Kind stirbt!« 50 »Du kannst beruhigt nach Hause gehen«, erwiderte Jesus, »dein Sohn ist gesund!« Der Mann vertraute auf das, was Jesus ihm gesagt hatte, und ging nach Hause.
51 Noch während er unterwegs war, kamen ihm einige seiner Diener entgegen. »Dein Kind ist gesund!«, riefen sie. 52 Der Vater erkundigte sich: »Seit wann geht es ihm besser?« Sie antworteten: »Gestern Mittag gegen ein Uhr hatte er plötzlich kein Fieber mehr.« 53 Da wurde dem Vater klar, dass Jesus genau in dieser Stunde gesagt hatte: »Dein Sohn ist gesund!« Seitdem glaubte dieser Mann mit allen, die in seinem Haus lebten, an Jesus.
54 Dies war das zweite Wunder, das Jesus in Galiläa vollbrachte, nachdem er aus Judäa zurückgekehrt war.

36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.
39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.
40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.

42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
43 Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee.
44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.
45 Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.
46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.
47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.
48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
49 The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.
50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.
51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.
52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.
54 This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.
