21 这些事以后，耶稣在提比里亚海边再次向门徒显现。他显现的经过是这样的： 2 当时西门．彼得、称为“双生子”的多马、加利利的迦拿人拿但业、西庇太的两个儿子，和另外两个门徒都聚在一起。 3 西门．彼得对他们说：“我要打鱼去。”他们说：“我们也跟你一起去。”于是他们出去，上了船，可是那一夜他们并没有打到甚么。 4 清早的时候，耶稣站在岸边；门徒却不知道他就是耶稣。 5 耶稣对他们说：“孩子们，打到鱼没有？”他们回答：“没有。” 6 耶稣说：“把网撒在船的右边，就可以得着。”他们就把网撒下去，可是拉不上来，因为鱼太多。 7 耶稣所爱的那门徒对彼得说：“是主！”西门．彼得一听见是主，就立刻束上外衣（因为他当时赤着身子），纵身跳进海里。 8 其他的门徒，因为离岸不远（约有一百公尺），就坐在小船上，把那网鱼拖过来。 9 他们上了岸，就看见那里有一堆炭火，上面有鱼有饼。 10 耶稣对他们说：“把你们刚才打的鱼拿几条来。” 11 西门．彼得就上船，把网拉到岸上；那网满了大鱼，共有一百五十三条。鱼虽然这么多，网却没有破。 12 耶稣对他们说：“你们来，吃早饭吧。”门徒中没有一个人敢问他：“你是谁？”因为知道他是主。 13 耶稣走过来，拿饼递给他们，又照样拿鱼递给他们。 14 这是耶稣从死人中复活之后，第三次向门徒显现。
耶稣三次问彼得是否爱他
15 他们吃了早饭，耶稣问西门．彼得：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我比这些更深吗？”他回答：“主啊，是的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你喂养我的小羊。” 16 耶稣第二次又问他：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”他回答：“主啊，是的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你牧养我的羊。” 17 耶稣第三次问他：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”彼得因为耶稣第三次问他：“你爱我吗？”就忧愁起来，对耶稣说：“主啊，你是无所不知的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你喂养我的羊。 18 我实实在在告诉你，你年轻的时候，自己束上腰带，随意往来；但到了年老的时候，你要伸出手来，别人要把你绑着，带你到你不愿意去的地方。” 19 耶稣说这话，是指明彼得将怎样死，来荣耀 神。说了这话，就对彼得说：“你跟从我吧！”
耶稣所爱的那门徒
20 彼得转过身来，看见耶稣所爱的那门徒跟着，就是在晚饭的时候，靠着耶稣的胸膛，问“主啊，出卖你的是谁？”的那个人。 21 彼得看见他，就问耶稣：“主啊，这个人将来怎么样？” 22 耶稣回答他：“如果我要他活到我来的时候，跟你有甚么关系呢？你只管跟从我吧！” 23 于是这话流传在弟兄中间，说那门徒不会死。其实耶稣并没有对他说他不会死，只是说：“如果我要他活到我来的时候，跟你有甚么关系呢？”
24 为这些事作证，并且记述这些事的，就是这门徒；我们知道他的见证是真实的。
25 耶稣所行的，还有许多其他的事；如果都一一写下来，所要写成的书，我想就是这个世界也容不下了。

EPILOGO
Apparizione sulla sponda del lago di Tiberiade
21 Dopo questi fatti, Gesù si manifestò di nuovo ai discepoli sul mare di Tiberìade. E si manifestò così: 2 si trovavano insieme Simon Pietro, Tommaso detto Dìdimo, Natanaèle di Cana di Galilea, i figli di Zebedèo e altri due discepoli. 3 Disse loro Simon Pietro: «Io vado a pescare». Gli dissero: «Veniamo anche noi con te». Allora uscirono e salirono sulla barca; ma in quella notte non presero nulla.
4 Quando gia era l'alba Gesù si presentò sulla riva, ma i discepoli non si erano accorti che era Gesù. 5 Gesù disse loro: «Figlioli, non avete nulla da mangiare?». Gli risposero: «No». 6 Allora disse loro: «Gettate la rete dalla parte destra della barca e troverete». La gettarono e non potevano più tirarla su per la gran quantità di pesci. 7 Allora quel discepolo che Gesù amava disse a Pietro: «E' il Signore!». Simon Pietro appena udì che era il Signore, si cinse ai fianchi il camiciotto, poiché era spogliato, e si gettò in mare. 8 Gli altri discepoli invece vennero con la barca, trascinando la rete piena di pesci: infatti non erano lontani da terra se non un centinaio di metri.
9 Appena scesi a terra, videro un fuoco di brace con del pesce sopra, e del pane. 10 Disse loro Gesù: «Portate un pò del pesce che avete preso or ora». 11 Allora Simon Pietro salì nella barca e trasse a terra la rete piena di centocinquantatrè grossi pesci. E benché fossero tanti, la rete non si spezzò. 12 Gesù disse loro: «Venite a mangiare». Enessuno dei discepoli osava domandargli: «Chi sei?», poiché sapevano bene che era il Signore.
13 Allora Gesù si avvicinò, prese il pane e lo diede a loro, e così pure il pesce. 14 Questa era la terza volta che Gesù si manifestava ai discepoli, dopo essere risuscitato dai morti.
15 Quand'ebbero mangiato, Gesù disse a Simon Pietro: «Simone di Giovanni, mi vuoi bene tu più di costoro?». Gli rispose: «Certo, Signore, tu lo sai che ti voglio bene». Gli disse: «Pasci i miei agnelli». 16 Gli disse di nuovo: «Simone di Giovanni, mi vuoi bene?». Gli rispose: «Certo, Signore, tu lo sai che ti voglio bene». Gli disse: «Pasci le mie pecorelle». 17 Gli disse per la terza volta: «Simone di Giovanni, mi vuoi bene?». Pietro rimase addolorato che per la terza volta gli dicesse: Mi vuoi bene?, e gli disse: «Signore, tu sai tutto; tu sai che ti voglio bene». Gli rispose Gesù: «Pasci le mie pecorelle. 18 In verità, in verità ti dico: quando eri più giovane ti cingevi la veste da solo, e andavi dove volevi; ma quando sarai vecchio tenderai le tue mani, e un altro ti cingerà la veste e ti porterà dove tu non vuoi». 19 Questo gli disse per indicare con quale morte egli avrebbe glorificato Dio. E detto questo aggiunse: «Seguimi».
20 Pietro allora, voltatosi, vide che li seguiva quel discepolo che Gesù amava, quello che nella cena si era trovato al suo fianco e gli aveva domandato: «Signore, chi è che ti tradisce?». 21 Pietro dunque, vedutolo, disse a Gesù: «Signore, e lui?». 22 Gesù gli rispose: «Se voglio che egli rimanga finché io venga, che importa a te? Tu seguimi». 23 Si diffuse perciò tra i fratelli la voce che quel discepolo non sarebbe morto. Gesù però non gli aveva detto che non sarebbe morto, ma: «Se voglio che rimanga finché io venga, che importa a te?».
Conclusione
24 Questo è il discepolo che rende testimonianza su questi fatti e li ha scritti; e noi sappiamo che la sua testimonianza è vera. 25 Vi sono ancora molte altre cose compiute da Gesù, che, se fossero scritte una per una, penso che il mondo stesso non basterebbe a contenere i libri che si dovrebbero scrivere.

Jesus’ Third Appearance to the Disciples
21 After this, Jesus revealed(A) Himself again to His disciples by the Sea of Tiberias.[a](B) He revealed Himself in this way:
2 Simon Peter,(C) Thomas(D) (called “Twin”), Nathanael(E) from Cana of Galilee,(F) Zebedee’s(G) sons, and two others of His disciples were together.
3 “I’m going fishing,” Simon Peter said to them.
“We’re coming with you,” they told him. They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.(H)
4 When daybreak came, Jesus stood on the shore. However, the disciples did not know it was Jesus.(I)
5 “Men,”[b] Jesus called to them, “you don’t have any fish, do you?”
“No,” they answered.
6 “Cast the net on the right side of the boat,” He told them, “and you’ll find some.” So they did,[c] and they were unable to haul it in because of the large number of fish. 7 Therefore the disciple, the one Jesus loved, said to Peter, “It is the Lord!”(J)
When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he tied his outer garment around him[d] (for he was stripped) and plunged into the sea. 8 But since they were not far from land (about 100 yards[e](K) away), the other disciples came in the boat,(L) dragging the net full of fish. 9 When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire there, with fish lying on it, and bread.
10 “Bring some of the fish you’ve just caught,” Jesus told them. 11 So Simon Peter got up and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish—153 of them. Even though there were so many, the net was not torn.(M)
12 “Come and have breakfast,” Jesus told them. None of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?” because they knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came, took the bread, and gave it to them. He did the same with the fish.
14 This was now the third time[f](N) Jesus appeared[g](O) to the disciples after He was raised from the dead.
Jesus’ Threefold Restoration of Peter
15 When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John,[h] do you love[i] Me more than these?”
“Yes, Lord,” he said to Him, “You know that I love You.”
“Feed(P) My lambs,”(Q) He told him.
16 A second time He asked him, “Simon, son of John, do you love(R) Me?”(S)
“Yes, Lord,” he said to Him, “You know that I love You.”
“Shepherd(T) My sheep,”(U) He told him.
17 He asked him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love(V) Me?”
Peter was grieved(W) that He asked him the third time, “Do you love Me?” He said, “Lord, You know everything!(X) You know that I love You.”
“Feed(Y) My sheep,” Jesus said. 18 “I assure you:(Z) When you were young, you would tie your belt and walk wherever you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will tie you and carry you where you don’t want to go.” 19 He said this to signify by what kind of death(AA) he would glorify God.[j](AB) After saying this, He told him, “Follow Me!”(AC)
Correcting a False Report
20 So Peter turned around and saw the disciple Jesus loved(AD) following them. That disciple was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and asked, “Lord, who is the one that’s going to betray You?”(AE) 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord—what about him?”
22 “If I want him to remain until I come,”(AF) Jesus answered, “what is that to you? As for you, follow Me.”
23 So this report[k] spread to the brothers[l](AG) that this disciple would not die.(AH) Yet Jesus did not tell him that he would not die, but, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?”
Epilogue
24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.
25 And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which, if they were written one by one, I suppose not even the world itself could contain the books[m] that would be written.(AI)

Jesus and the Miraculous Catch of Fish
21 Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples,(A) by the Sea of Galilee.[a](B) It happened this way: 2 Simon Peter, Thomas(C) (also known as Didymus[b]), Nathanael(D) from Cana in Galilee,(E) the sons of Zebedee,(F) and two other disciples were together. 3 “I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.(G)
4 Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.(H)
5 He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?”
“No,” they answered.
6 He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.(I)

Jesus Reinstates Peter
15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”
“Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.”(O)
Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”(P)
16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”(Q)
17 The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?”(R) He said, “Lord, you know all things;(S) you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.(T) 18 Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” 19 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death(U) by which Peter would glorify God.(V) Then he said to him, “Follow me!”(W)
20 Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved(X) was following them. (This was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and had said, “Lord, who is going to betray you?”)(Y) 21 When Peter saw him, he asked, “Lord, what about him?”
22 Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return,(Z) what is that to you? You must follow me.”(AA) 23 Because of this, the rumor spread among the believers(AB) that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die; he only said, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?”
24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things(AC) and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.(AD)
25 Jesus did many other things as well.(AE) If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
13 Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.
14 This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdest thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
19 This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.
20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
21 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
24 This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
