向门徒们第三次显现
21 这些事以后，耶稣在太巴列湖边[a][b]又向门徒们显明了自己。他是这样显明自己的：
2 当时，西门彼得、那叫迪杜马[c]的多马、加利利的迦拿人拿旦业[d]、西庇太的两个儿子、还有他的另外两位门徒，正在一起。
3 西门彼得对大家说：“我去打鱼。”
他们说：“我们也和你一起去。”他们就出去，上了船。可是那一夜，他们什么也没有捕到。
4 天快亮的时候，耶稣站在岸上，只是门徒们没有认出他就是耶稣。
5 耶稣对他们说：“孩子们，你们没有鱼吧？”
他们回答：“没有。”
6 耶稣说：“你们把网撒在船的右边，就会捕到。”他们就把网撒下，竟拉不上来，因为鱼很多。 7 耶稣所爱的那门徒对彼得说：“那是主！”
当时，西门彼得赤着身子，一听说是主，就把外衣系上，跳进湖里。 8 其他在船上的门徒，拖着满网的鱼过来了。他们离岸不远，约有九十公尺[e]。 9 他们一上岸，就看见有一堆炭火，上面放着鱼，还有饼。
10 耶稣说：“把你们刚捕到的鱼，拿几条[f]过来。” 11 西门彼得就上去，把网拖到岸上，满网大鱼，共一百五十三条。虽然有这么多鱼，网却没有撑破。
12 耶稣对他们说：“来吃早饭吧。”但没有一个门徒敢问他：“你是谁？”因为他们知道是主。 13 耶稣过来，拿起饼分给他们，把鱼也如此分了。
14 耶稣从死人中复活后，这已经是他第三次向门徒们显现了。
耶稣与彼得
15 大家吃完早饭后，耶稣就问西门彼得：“约翰[g]的儿子西门，你爱我胜过这些吗？[h]”
彼得说：“是的，主啊！你知道我喜爱你。”
耶稣对他说：“喂养我的小羊。”
16 耶稣第二次又问他：“约翰[i]的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”
彼得回答说：“是的，主啊！你知道我喜爱你。”
耶稣对他说：“牧养我的羊。”
17 耶稣第三次问他：“约翰[j]的儿子西门，你喜爱我吗？”
彼得感到忧伤，因为耶稣第三次是对他说：“你喜爱我吗？”彼得说：“主啊，你知道一切，你知道我喜爱你。”
耶稣对他说：“喂养我的羊。 18 我确确实实地告诉你：你年轻的时候，自己束上腰带，到你愿意去的地方；但你年老的时候，要伸出双手，别人要把你束上，带你到不愿意去的地方。” 19 耶稣说这话，是指彼得将会以怎样的死来荣耀神。说了这话，耶稣对他说：“你跟从我！”
论耶稣所爱的那门徒
20 彼得转过身来，看见耶稣所爱的那门徒跟着走。他就是晚餐时贴近耶稣[k]，问“主啊，出卖你的是谁”的那个门徒。 21 彼得看见他，就问耶稣：“主啊，那么，这个人会怎么样呢？”
22 耶稣说：“就算我愿意他一直留到我来的时候，这与你有什么关系？你跟从我！”
23 于是在弟兄中传出了这样一种说法：“那门徒不会死。”其实耶稣并没有说他不会死，而是说：“就算我愿意他一直留到我来的时候，这与你有什么关系？”
后记
24 正是这个门徒，为这些事做见证，并记下了这些事，而且我们知道他的见证是真实的。
25 耶稣所行的事，另外还有很多。如果把它们一一记载下来，我想，所写出来的书，连整个世界也容纳不下了。

Jesús se aparece a siete de sus discípulos
21 Después de esto, Jesús se manifestó otra vez a sus discípulos, junto al lago de Tiberias; y lo hizo de esta manera: 2 Estaban juntos Simón Pedro, Tomás, conocido como el Dídimo, Natanael, el de Caná de Galilea, los hijos de Zebedeo, y otros dos de sus discípulos. 3 Simón Pedro les dijo: «Voy a pescar.» Ellos le dijeron: «También nosotros vamos contigo.» Fueron, y entraron en una barca; pero aquella noche no pescaron nada.(A)
4 Cuando ya estaba amaneciendo, Jesús se presentó en la playa; pero los discípulos no se dieron cuenta de que era Jesús. 5 Y él les dijo: «Hijitos, ¿tienen algo de comer?» Le respondieron: «No». 6 Él les dijo: «Echen la red a la derecha de la barca, y hallarán.» Ellos echaron la red, y eran tantos los pescados que ya no la podían sacar.(B) 7 Entonces el discípulo a quien Jesús amaba le dijo a Pedro: «¡Es el Señor!» Y cuando Simón Pedro oyó que era el Señor, se puso la ropa (porque se había despojado de ella) y se echó al mar. 8 Los otros discípulos vinieron con la barca, arrastrando la red llena de pescados, pues estaban como a doscientos codos de la orilla.
9 Al descender a tierra, vieron brasas puestas, un pescado encima de ellas, y pan. 10 Jesús les dijo: «Traigan algunos de los pescados que acaban de pescar.» 11 Simón Pedro salió del agua y sacó la red a tierra, llena de grandes pescados. Eran ciento cincuenta y tres, y a pesar de ser tantos la red no se rompió. 12 Jesús les dijo: «Vengan a comer.» Y ninguno de los discípulos se atrevía a preguntarle: «¿Tú, quién eres?», pues sabían que era el Señor. 13 Entonces, Jesús tomó el pan y les dio de él, lo mismo que del pescado. 14 Ésta era la tercera vez que Jesús se manifestaba a sus discípulos, después de haber resucitado de los muertos.
Apacienta mis ovejas
15 Cuando terminaron de comer, Jesús le dijo a Simón Pedro: «Simón, hijo de Jonás, ¿me amas más que éstos?» Le respondió: «Sí, Señor; tú sabes que te quiero.» Él le dijo: «Apacienta mis corderos.» 16 Volvió a decirle por segunda vez: «Simón, hijo de Jonás, ¿me amas?» Pedro le respondió: «Sí, Señor; tú sabes que te quiero.» Le dijo: «Pastorea mis ovejas.» 17 Y la tercera vez le dijo: «Simón, hijo de Jonás, ¿me quieres?» Pedro se entristeció de que la tercera vez le dijera «¿Me quieres?», y le respondió: «Señor, tú lo sabes todo; tú sabes que te quiero.» Jesús le dijo: «Apacienta mis ovejas. 18 De cierto, de cierto te digo: Cuando eras más joven, te vestías e ibas a donde querías; pero cuando ya seas viejo, extenderás tus manos y te vestirá otro, y te llevará a donde no quieras.» 19 Jesús dijo esto, para dar a entender con qué muerte glorificaría a Dios. Y dicho esto, añadió: «Sígueme».
El discípulo amado
20 Al volverse Pedro, vio que los seguía el discípulo a quien Jesús amaba, el mismo que en la cena se había recostado al lado de él, y que le había dicho: «Señor, ¿quién es el que te entregará?»(C) 21 Cuando Pedro lo vio, le dijo a Jesús: «Señor, ¿y éste, qué?» 22 Jesús le dijo: «Si yo quiero que él se quede hasta que yo venga, ¿a ti qué? Tú sígueme.» 23 De allí surgió la idea entre los hermanos de que aquel discípulo no moriría. Pero Jesús no le dijo que no moriría. Sólo le dijo: «Si yo quiero que él se quede hasta que yo venga, ¿a ti qué?»
24 Éste es el discípulo que da testimonio de estas cosas, y que las ha escrito. Y sabemos que su testimonio es verdadero.
25 Jesús también hizo muchas otras cosas, las cuales, si se escribieran una por una, pienso que ni aun en el mundo cabrían los libros que se habrían de escribir. Amén.

Jesus and the Miraculous Catch of Fish
21 Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples,(A) by the Sea of Galilee.[a](B) It happened this way: 2 Simon Peter, Thomas(C) (also known as Didymus[b]), Nathanael(D) from Cana in Galilee,(E) the sons of Zebedee,(F) and two other disciples were together. 3 “I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.(G)
4 Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.(H)
5 He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?”
“No,” they answered.
6 He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.(I)
7 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved(J) said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water. 8 The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards.[c] 9 When they landed, they saw a fire(K) of burning coals there with fish on it,(L) and some bread.
10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you have just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn. 12 Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.(M) 14 This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples(N) after he was raised from the dead.
Jesus Reinstates Peter
15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”
“Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.”(O)
Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”(P)
16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”(Q)
17 The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?”(R) He said, “Lord, you know all things;(S) you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.(T) 18 Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” 19 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death(U) by which Peter would glorify God.(V) Then he said to him, “Follow me!”(W)
20 Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved(X) was following them. (This was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and had said, “Lord, who is going to betray you?”)(Y) 21 When Peter saw him, he asked, “Lord, what about him?”
22 Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return,(Z) what is that to you? You must follow me.”(AA) 23 Because of this, the rumor spread among the believers(AB) that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die; he only said, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?”
24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things(AC) and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.(AD)
25 Jesus did many other things as well.(AE) If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
