19 那時，彼拉多吩咐人把耶穌拉去鞭打。 2 士兵用荊棘編成冠冕，戴在他的頭上，又給他披上紫色的外袍， 3 然後來到他面前，說：“猶太人的王萬歲！”並且用手掌打他。 4 彼拉多再次出到外面，對猶太人說：“看！我把他帶出來給你們，讓你們知道我查不出他有甚麼罪。” 5 於是耶穌出來，戴著荊棘的冠冕，披著紫色的外袍。彼拉多對他們說：“看，這個人！” 6 祭司長和差役看見耶穌，就喊叫說：“把他釘十字架！把他釘十字架！”彼拉多對他們說：“你們自己把他帶去釘十字架吧！我查不出他有甚麼罪。” 7 猶太人回答：“我們有律法，根據那律法，他是該死的，因為他自命為 神的兒子。”
8 彼拉多聽見這話，就更加害怕， 9 又進了官邸，問耶穌：“你究竟是從哪裡來的？”耶穌卻不回答他。 10 彼拉多對他說：“你不對我說話嗎？你不知道我有權釋放你，也有權把你釘十字架嗎？” 11 耶穌說：“如果不是從天上給你權柄，你就無權辦我；因此，把我交給你的那人，罪更重了。” 12 從那時起，彼拉多想釋放耶穌；可是猶太人卻喊叫說：“如果你釋放這個人，就不是凱撒的忠臣了。凡是自命為王的，就是與凱撒為敵。”

17 他們把耶穌帶去了。耶穌自己背著十字架出來，到了一個名叫“髑髏”的地方，希伯來話叫各各他。 18 他們就在那裡把耶穌釘在十字架上；和他一同釘十字架的，還有兩個人，一邊一個，耶穌在中間。 19 彼拉多寫了一個牌子，放在十字架上頭，寫的是：“猶太人的王拿撒勒人耶穌。” 20 有許多猶太人念了這牌子上所寫的，因為耶穌釘十字架的地方離城不遠，而且那牌子是用希伯來文、拉丁文和希臘文寫的。 21 猶太人的祭司長對彼拉多說：“不要寫‘猶太人的王’，要寫‘這個人自稱：我是猶太人的王’。” 22 彼拉多說：“我所寫的，我已經寫了！”

19 Pilato tomó entonces a Jesús y mandó que lo azotaran. 2 Los soldados, que habían tejido una corona de espinas, se la pusieron a Jesús en la cabeza y lo vistieron con un manto de color púrpura.
3 ―¡Viva el rey de los judíos! —le gritaban, mientras se le acercaban para abofetearlo.
4 Pilato volvió a salir.
―Aquí lo tenéis —dijo a los judíos—. Lo he sacado para que sepáis que no lo encuentro culpable de nada.
5 Cuando salió Jesús, llevaba puestos la corona de espinas y el manto de color púrpura.
―¡Aquí tenéis al hombre! —les dijo Pilato.
6 Tan pronto como lo vieron, los jefes de los sacerdotes y los guardias gritaron a voz en grito:
―¡Crucifícalo! ¡Crucifícalo!
―Pues lleváoslo y crucificadlo vosotros —replicó Pilato—. Por mi parte, no lo encuentro culpable de nada.
7 ―Nosotros tenemos una ley, y según esa ley debe morir, porque se ha hecho pasar por Hijo de Dios —insistieron los judíos.
8 Al oír esto, Pilato se atemorizó aún más, 9 así que entró de nuevo en el palacio y preguntó a Jesús:
―¿De dónde eres tú?
Pero Jesús no le contestó nada.
10 ―¿Te niegas a hablarme? —le dijo Pilato—. ¿No te das cuenta de que tengo poder para ponerte en libertad o para mandar que te crucifiquen?
11 ―No tendrías ningún poder sobre mí si no se te hubiera dado de arriba —le contestó Jesús—. Por eso el que me puso en tus manos es culpable de un pecado más grande.
12 Desde entonces Pilato procuraba poner en libertad a Jesús, pero los judíos gritaban desaforadamente:
―Si dejas en libertad a este hombre, no eres amigo del emperador. Cualquiera que pretende ser rey se hace su enemigo.
13 Al oír esto, Pilato llevó a Jesús hacia fuera y se sentó en el tribunal, en un lugar al que llamaban el Empedrado (que en arameo se dice Gabatá). 14 Era el día de la preparación para la Pascua, cerca del mediodía.[a]
―Aquí tenéis a vuestro rey —dijo Pilato a los judíos.
15 ―¡Fuera! ¡Fuera! ¡Crucifícalo! —vociferaron.
―¿Acaso voy a crucificar a vuestro rey? —replicó Pilato.
―No tenemos más rey que el emperador romano —contestaron los jefes de los sacerdotes.
16 Entonces Pilato se lo entregó para que lo crucificaran, y los soldados se lo llevaron.
La crucifixión(B)
17 Jesús salió cargando su propia cruz hacia el lugar de la Calavera (que en arameo se llama Gólgota). 18 Allí lo crucificaron, y con él a otros dos, uno a cada lado y Jesús en medio.
19 Pilato mandó que se pusiera sobre la cruz un letrero en el que estuviera escrito: «Jesús de Nazaret, Rey de los judíos». 20 Muchos de los judíos lo leyeron, porque el sitio en que crucificaron a Jesús estaba cerca de la ciudad. El letrero estaba escrito en arameo, latín y griego.
21 ―No escribas “Rey de los judíos” —protestaron ante Pilato los jefes de los sacerdotes judíos—. Sino que él era quien decía ser rey de los judíos.
22 ―Lo que he escrito, escrito queda —contestó Pilato.
23 Cuando los soldados crucificaron a Jesús, tomaron su manto y lo partieron en cuatro partes, una para cada uno de ellos. Tomaron también la túnica, la cual no tenía costura, sino que era de una sola pieza, tejida de arriba abajo.
24 ―No la dividamos —se dijeron unos a otros—. Echemos suertes para ver a quién le toca.
Y así lo hicieron los soldados. Esto sucedió para que se cumpliera la Escritura que dice:
«Se repartieron entre ellos mi manto,
y sobre mi ropa echaron suertes».[b]
25 Junto a la cruz de Jesús estaban su madre, la hermana de su madre, María esposa de Cleofás, y María Magdalena. 26 Cuando Jesús vio a su madre, y a su lado al discípulo a quien él amaba, dijo a su madre:
―Mujer, ahí tienes a tu hijo.
27 Luego dijo al discípulo:
―Ahí tienes a tu madre.
Y desde aquel momento ese discípulo la recibió en su casa.
Muerte de Jesús(C)
28 Después de esto, como Jesús sabía que ya todo había terminado, y para que se cumpliera la Escritura, dijo:
―Tengo sed.
29 Había allí una vasija llena de vinagre; así que empaparon una esponja en el vinagre, la pusieron en una caña[c] y se la acercaron a la boca. 30 Al probar Jesús el vinagre, dijo:
―Todo se ha cumplido.
Luego inclinó la cabeza y entregó el espíritu.
31 Era el día de la preparación para la Pascua. Los judíos no querían que los cuerpos permanecieran en la cruz en sábado, por ser este un día muy solemne. Así que pidieron a Pilato ordenar que se quebraran las piernas a los crucificados y bajaran sus cuerpos. 32 Fueron entonces los soldados y quebraron las piernas al primer hombre que había sido crucificado con Jesús, y luego al otro. 33 Pero, cuando se acercaron a Jesús y vieron que ya estaba muerto, no quebraron sus piernas, 34 sino que uno de los soldados le abrió el costado con una lanza, y al instante le brotó sangre y agua. 35 El que lo vio ha dado testimonio de ello, y su testimonio es verídico. Él sabe que dice la verdad, para que también vosotros creáis. 36 Estas cosas sucedieron para que se cumpliera la Escritura: «No le quebrarán ningún hueso»[d] 37 y, como dice otra Escritura: «Mirarán al que han traspasado».[e]
Sepultura de Jesús(D)
38 Después de esto, José de Arimatea pidió a Pilato el cuerpo de Jesús. José era discípulo de Jesús, aunque en secreto por miedo a los judíos. Con el permiso de Pilato, fue y retiró el cuerpo. 39 También Nicodemo, el que antes había visitado a Jesús de noche, llegó con unos treinta y cuatro kilos[f] de una mezcla de mirra y áloe. 40 Ambos tomaron el cuerpo de Jesús y, conforme a la costumbre judía de dar sepultura, lo envolvieron en vendas con las especias aromáticas. 41 En el lugar donde crucificaron a Jesús había un huerto, y en el huerto, un sepulcro nuevo en el que todavía no se había sepultado a nadie. 42 Como era el día judío de la preparación, y el sepulcro estaba cerca, pusieron allí a Jesús.

Pilat a zis iudeilor: „Iată Împăratul vostru!” 15 Dar ei au strigat: „Ia-L, ia-L, răstigneşte-L!” „Să răstignesc pe Împăratul vostru?” le-a zis Pilat. Răstignirea
17 Isus, ducându-Şi(M) crucea, a(N) ajuns la locul zis al „Căpăţânii”, care în evreieşte se cheamă „Golgota”. 18 Acolo a fost răstignit şi, împreună cu El, au fost răstigniţi alţi doi, unul de o parte şi altul de alta, iar Isus la mijloc. 19 Pilat(O) a scris o însemnare pe care a pus-o deasupra crucii şi era scris: „Isus din Nazaret, Împăratul iudeilor”. 20 Mulţi din iudei au citit această însemnare, pentru că locul unde fusese răstignit Isus era aproape de cetate; era scrisă în evreieşte, latineşte şi greceşte. 21 Preoţii cei mai de seamă ai iudeilor au zis lui Pilat: „Nu scrie: ‘Împăratul iudeilor’. Ci scrie că El a zis: ‘Eu sunt Împăratul iudeilor’.” 22 „Ce am scris, am scris”, a răspuns Pilat. 23 Ostaşii(P), după ce au răstignit pe Isus, I-au luat hainele şi le-au făcut patru părţi, câte o parte pentru fiecare ostaş. Moartea lui Isus dovedită
31 De frică să(Z) nu rămână trupurile pe cruce în timpul Sabatului – căci(AA) era ziua Pregătirii, şi ziua aceea de Sabat era o zi mare –, iudeii au rugat pe Pilat să zdrobească fluierele picioarelor celor răstigniţi şi să fie luaţi de pe cruce. 32 Ostaşii au venit deci şi au zdrobit fluierele picioarelor celui dintâi, apoi pe ale celuilalt care fusese răstignit împreună cu El. 33 Când au venit la Isus şi au văzut că murise, nu I-au zdrobit fluierele picioarelor, 34 ci unul din ostaşi I-a străpuns coasta cu o suliţă, şi îndată a(AB) ieşit din ea sânge şi apă. 35 Faptul acesta este adeverit de cel ce l-a văzut; mărturia lui este adevărată şi el ştie că spune adevărul, pentru ca şi voi să credeţi. 36 Aceste lucruri s-au întâmplat ca(AC) să se împlinească Scriptura: „Niciunul din oasele Lui nu va fi sfărâmat”. 37 Şi în altă parte, Scriptura mai zice: „Vor(AD) vedea pe cine au străpuns”.
Îngroparea lui Isus
38 După(AE) aceea, Iosif din Arimateea, care era ucenic al lui Isus, dar pe ascuns, de(AF) frica iudeilor, a rugat pe Pilat să-i dea voie să ia trupul lui Isus de pe cruce. Pilat i-a dat voie. El a venit deci şi a luat trupul lui Isus. 39 Nicodim(AG), care la început se dusese la Isus noaptea, a venit şi el şi a adus o amestecătură de aproape o sută de litri de smirnă şi de aloe. 40 Au luat deci trupul lui Isus şi l-au(AH) înfăşurat în fâşii de pânză de in, cu miresme, după cum au obicei iudeii să îngroape. 41 În locul unde fusese răstignit Isus, era o grădină, şi în grădină era un mormânt nou, în care nu mai fusese pus nimeni. 42 Din(AI) pricină că era Ziua Pregătirii iudeilor, pentru că(AJ) mormântul era aproape, au pus acolo pe Isus.

Jesus Sentenced to Be Crucified(A)
19 Then Pilate took Jesus and had him flogged.(B) 2 The soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head. They clothed him in a purple robe 3 and went up to him again and again, saying, “Hail, king of the Jews!”(C) And they slapped him in the face.(D)
4 Once more Pilate came out and said to the Jews gathered there, “Look, I am bringing him out(E) to you to let you know that I find no basis for a charge against him.”(F) 5 When Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe,(G) Pilate said to them, “Here is the man!”
6 As soon as the chief priests and their officials saw him, they shouted, “Crucify! Crucify!”
But Pilate answered, “You take him and crucify him.(H) As for me, I find no basis for a charge against him.”(I)
7 The Jewish leaders insisted, “We have a law, and according to that law he must die,(J) because he claimed to be the Son of God.”(K)
8 When Pilate heard this, he was even more afraid, 9 and he went back inside the palace.(L) “Where do you come from?” he asked Jesus, but Jesus gave him no answer.(M) 10 “Do you refuse to speak to me?” Pilate said. “Don’t you realize I have power either to free you or to crucify you?”
11 Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above.(N) Therefore the one who handed me over to you(O) is guilty of a greater sin.”
12 From then on, Pilate tried to set Jesus free, but the Jewish leaders kept shouting, “If you let this man go, you are no friend of Caesar. Anyone who claims to be a king(P) opposes Caesar.”
13 When Pilate heard this, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judge’s seat(Q) at a place known as the Stone Pavement (which in Aramaic(R) is Gabbatha). 14 It was the day of Preparation(S) of the Passover; it was about noon.(T)
“Here is your king,”(U) Pilate said to the Jews.
15 But they shouted, “Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!”
“Shall I crucify your king?” Pilate asked.
“We have no king but Caesar,” the chief priests answered.
16 Finally Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified.(V)
The Crucifixion of Jesus(W)
So the soldiers took charge of Jesus. 17 Carrying his own cross,(X) he went out to the place of the Skull(Y) (which in Aramaic(Z) is called Golgotha). 18 There they crucified him, and with him two others(AA)—one on each side and Jesus in the middle.
19 Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It read: jesus of nazareth,(AB) the king of the jews.(AC) 20 Many of the Jews read this sign, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city,(AD) and the sign was written in Aramaic, Latin and Greek. 21 The chief priests of the Jews protested to Pilate, “Do not write ‘The King of the Jews,’ but that this man claimed to be king of the Jews.”(AE)
22 Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”
23 When the soldiers crucified Jesus, they took his clothes, dividing them into four shares, one for each of them, with the undergarment remaining. This garment was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom.
24 “Let’s not tear it,” they said to one another. “Let’s decide by lot who will get it.”
This happened that the scripture might be fulfilled(AF) that said,
So this is what the soldiers did.
25 Near the cross(AH) of Jesus stood his mother,(AI) his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.(AJ) 26 When Jesus saw his mother(AK) there, and the disciple whom he loved(AL) standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman,[b] here is your son,” 27 and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.
The Death of Jesus(AM)
28 Later, knowing that everything had now been finished,(AN) and so that Scripture would be fulfilled,(AO) Jesus said, “I am thirsty.” 29 A jar of wine vinegar(AP) was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips. 30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.”(AQ) With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
31 Now it was the day of Preparation,(AR) and the next day was to be a special Sabbath. Because the Jewish leaders did not want the bodies left on the crosses(AS) during the Sabbath, they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies taken down. 32 The soldiers therefore came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and then those of the other.(AT) 33 But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. 34 Instead, one of the soldiers pierced(AU) Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.(AV) 35 The man who saw it(AW) has given testimony, and his testimony is true.(AX) He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe. 36 These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled:(AY) “Not one of his bones will be broken,”[c](AZ) 37 and, as another scripture says, “They will look on the one they have pierced.”[d](BA)
The Burial of Jesus(BB)
38 Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jewish leaders.(BC) With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away. 39 He was accompanied by Nicodemus,(BD) the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night. Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds.[e] 40 Taking Jesus’ body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen.(BE) This was in accordance with Jewish burial customs.(BF) 41 At the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had ever been laid. 42 Because it was the Jewish day of Preparation(BG) and since the tomb was nearby,(BH) they laid Jesus there.
