18 耶稣说完了这些话，就和门徒出去，过了汲沦溪。在那里有一个园子，耶稣和门徒进去了。 2 出卖耶稣的犹大也知道那地方，因为耶稣和门徒常常在那里聚集。 3 那时，犹大带着一队兵，还有祭司长和法利赛人的差役，拿着灯笼、火把、武器，来到园子里。 4 耶稣知道快要临到他身上的一切事，就出来对他们说：“你们找谁？” 5 他们回答：“拿撒勒人耶稣！”耶稣说：“我就是。”出卖耶稣的犹大和他们站在那里。 6 耶稣一说“我就是”，他们就往后退，倒在地上。 7 他再问他们：“你们找谁？”他们说：“拿撒勒人耶稣！” 8 耶稣回答：“我已经告诉你们，我就是了。如果你们来找我，就让这些人走吧。” 9 这应验了耶稣说过的话：“你赐给我的人，我一个也没有失落。” 10 西门．彼得带着一把刀，就拔出来，向大祭司的仆人马勒古砍去，削掉他的右耳。 11 耶稣对彼得说：“把刀收入鞘里去！父给我的杯，我怎能不喝呢？”
大祭司审问耶稣(B)
12 于是那一队兵和千夫长，以及犹太人的差役拿住耶稣，把他绑起来， 13 先带到亚那面前。亚那是当年的大祭司该亚法的岳父。 14 该亚法就是从前向犹太人提议说“一个人代替人民死，这是有益的”那个人。

15 西门．彼得和另一个门徒跟着耶稣；那门徒是大祭司认识的。他跟耶稣一起进了大祭司的院子， 16 彼得却站在门外。大祭司所认识的那门徒出来，对看门的婢女说了一声，就带了彼得进去。 17 那看门的婢女对彼得说：“你不也是这个人的门徒吗？”他说：“我不是。” 18 因为天气寒冷，仆人和差役就生了炭火，站着取暖；彼得也和他们站在一起取暖。
公议会审问耶稣(D)
19 那时，大祭司查问耶稣有关他的门徒和他的教训的事。 20 耶稣对大祭司说：“我向来对世人讲话都是公开的，我常常在会堂和圣殿里，就是在所有犹太人聚集的地方教导人，暗地里我并没有讲甚么。 21 你为甚么查问我呢？问问那些听过我讲话的人吧，他们知道我讲过甚么。” 22 耶稣说了这些话，站在旁边的一个差役，就打他一巴掌，说：“你竟敢这样回答大祭司吗？” 23 耶稣对他说：“如果我讲错了，你可以指证错在哪里；如果我讲对了，你为甚么打我呢？” 24 亚那仍然绑着耶稣，把他押到大祭司该亚法那里去。

25 西门．彼得仍然站在火旁取暖。有人对他说：“你不也是他的门徒吗？”彼得否认说：“我不是。” 26 有一个大祭司的仆人，就是彼得削掉耳朵的那个人的亲戚，说：“我不是看见你跟他在园子里吗？” 27 彼得又否认，立刻鸡就叫了。

28 清早的时候，犹太人把耶稣从该亚法那里押往总督的官邸。他们自己没有进到官邸里去，恐怕沾染了污秽，不能吃逾越节的晚餐。 29 于是彼拉多走到外面见他们，说：“你们控告这个人甚么呢？” 30 他们回答：“如果这个人没有作恶，我们就不会把他交给你。” 31 彼拉多对他们说：“你们自己把他带去，按着你们的律法审问他吧。”犹太人说：“我们没有权去判人死罪。” 32 这就应验了耶稣预先说到自己将要怎样死的那句话。 33 彼拉多又进了官邸，把耶稣叫来，问他说：“你是犹太人的王吗？” 34 耶稣回答：“这话是你自己说的，还是别人对你说到我的呢？” 35 彼拉多说：“难道我是犹太人吗？你本国的人和祭司长把你交给我，你究竟作了甚么事？” 36 耶稣回答：“我的国不属于这世界；如果我的国属于这世界，我的臣仆就要作战，使我不至被交给犹太人。不过，我的国不是这世上的。” 37 于是彼拉多问他：“那么，你是王吗？”耶稣说：“我是王，你已经说了（“你已经说了”或译：“这是你说的”）。我要为真理作见证，我为此而生，也为此来到世上。凡是属于真理的人，都听我的声音。” 38 彼拉多问他：“真理是甚么？”
彼拉多判耶稣钉十字架(G)
彼拉多说了这话，又出来见犹太人，对他们说：“我查不出他有甚么罪。 39 你们有个惯例，每逢逾越节，要我给你们释放一个囚犯。你们愿意我给你们释放这个犹太人的王吗？” 40 他们又喊叫说：“不要他！要巴拉巴！”这巴拉巴是个强盗。

18 耶稣做完祷告后，便与门徒出去，渡过了汲沦溪，那里有一个花园，他和门徒们走了进去。
2 此刻，叛徒犹大也知道这个地方，因为，耶稣常在这里与他的门徒相会。 3 所以，犹大带着一队士兵和大殿的警卫，他们是祭司长和法利赛人派来的，他们手拿火把、灯笼、武器来到了这里。
4 耶稣早已知道将发生的一切，他走上前去，说道∶“你们找谁？”
5 他们说∶“拿撒勒人耶稣。”
他说∶“我就是。”（叛徒犹大也站在他们中间。） 6 当耶稣说“我就是”时，他们全都倒退几步，跌倒在地上。
7 耶稣再次问道∶“你们找谁？”
他们说∶“拿撒勒人耶稣。”
8 耶稣说∶“我告诉过你们，我就是。既然你们是来找我的，那么，就让其他人走吧。” 9 这正应验了耶稣以前说的话∶“我没失去一个您赐给我的人。”

12 士兵、指挥官和犹太卫兵逮捕并绑起了耶稣， 13 他们首先把他带去见亚那，亚那是那年大祭司该亚法的岳父。 14 （该亚法曾向犹太人建议，一个人为众百姓而牺牲更好）。
彼得撒谎说他不认识耶稣
15 西门彼得和另一个门徒跟在耶稣的后边。大祭司与这个门徒很熟悉，所以他跟随耶稣也进了大祭司的院子， 16 但是，彼得却呆在大门外。大祭司认识的那个门徒出来，对看门的女仆说了一声，便带彼得进去了。 17 那个女仆对彼得说∶“你是不是也是这个人的门徒呢？”
彼得说∶“我才不是呢。”
18 因为天气很冷，所以，仆人和大殿卫兵们生起了一堆炭火，站在边上烤火。彼得也和他们一起，在火旁取暖。
大祭司审问耶稣
19 然后，大祭司质问耶稣有关他的门徒和他教导的事情。 20 耶稣回答他道∶“我一向在大庭广众之下对所有的人说话，我总是在犹太人聚集的会堂和大殿院里讲道，我从未私下说过任何事。 21 你为什么要问我呢？问那些听过我讲话的人，他们肯定知道我说过什么？”
22 耶稣正说着，旁边一个卫兵打了耶稣一记耳光，说道∶“你怎么胆敢如此回答大祭司呢！”
23 耶稣说∶“如果我说错了什么，你告诉大家哪里错了，如果我没说错，你为什么打我？”
24 然后，亚那叫人把耶稣绑起来，送到大祭司该亚法那里去了。
彼得再次撒谎
25 彼得正站在那里取暖，有人问他∶“你也是他的门徒吧？”
彼得却否认说∶“我不是。”
26 大祭司的另一个仆人，他是被彼得削掉耳朵那个人的亲戚，他对彼得说∶“我看见你和他一起在那个花园里，不是吗？”
27 彼得再次否认，这时，鸡叫了。
耶稣被带到彼拉多面前
28 士兵们把耶稣从该亚法院子带到了总督府去了。当时是一大早，犹太首领不想进去，免得不洁净 [c]，因为他们要吃逾越餐。 29 于是彼拉多出来见他们，说道∶“你们为什么控告此人？”
30 犹太人说∶“如果这人不是罪犯，我们就不会把他交给您了。”
31 彼拉多说∶“你们抓了他，那你们就按你们的律法判他好了。”
犹太人说∶“我们不允许判死刑。” 32 这正应验了耶稣关于他会怎么死的话。
33 彼拉多回到府里，叫来耶稣，问他道∶“你是犹太人的王吗？”
34 耶稣说∶“是你自己想这么问，还是有人告诉过你有关我的事情呢？”
35 彼拉多说∶“你认为我是犹太人吗？是你自己的同胞和祭司长把你交给我的，你做了什么错事？”
36 耶稣说∶“我的王国不属于这个世界，如果我的王国属于这个世界，我的仆人就会为我而战，我也不会落到犹太首领的手中去了。实际上，我的王国不在这里。”
37 彼拉多对他说∶“那你是国王了？”
耶稣回答∶“你说我是国王，说的很对。我为此而生，为此而来到这个世上，目的就是为真理作证。属于真理的人都会听我的话。”
38 彼拉多问∶“什么是真理？”说完，他走出去见那些犹太人，告诉他们∶“我没发现他有罪。 39 按你们的习惯，逾越节期间，我可以释放一个人，你们想让我释放犹太王吗？”
40 犹太人却叫喊道∶“不放他，放巴拉巴！”（巴拉巴曾是暴乱分子）

18 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went out with his disciples over the brook Kidron, where there was a garden, into which he and his disciples entered. 2 Now Judas, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Jesus often met there with his disciples. 3 Judas then, having taken a detachment of soldiers and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons. 4 Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were happening to him, went out and said to them, “Who are you looking for?”
5 They answered him, “Jesus of Nazareth.”
Jesus said to them, “I am he.”
Judas also, who betrayed him, was standing with them. 6 When therefore he said to them, “I am he,” they went backward and fell to the ground.
7 Again therefore he asked them, “Who are you looking for?”
They said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”
8 Jesus answered, “I told you that I am he. If therefore you seek me, let these go their way,” 9 that the word might be fulfilled which he spoke, “Of those whom you have given me, I have lost none.”(A)
10 Simon Peter therefore, having a sword, drew it, struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus. 11 Jesus therefore said to Peter, “Put the sword into its sheath. The cup which the Father has given me, shall I not surely drink it?”
12 So the detachment, the commanding officer, and the officers of the Jews seized Jesus and bound him, 13 and led him to Annas first, for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was high priest that year. 14 Now it was Caiaphas who advised the Jews that it was expedient that one man should perish for the people.
15 Simon Peter followed Jesus, as did another disciple. Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and entered in with Jesus into the court of the high priest; 16 but Peter was standing at the door outside. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought in Peter. 17 Then the maid who kept the door said to Peter, “Are you also one of this man’s disciples?”
He said, “I am not.”
18 Now the servants and the officers were standing there, having made a fire of coals, for it was cold. They were warming themselves. Peter was with them, standing and warming himself.
19 The high priest therefore asked Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching.
20 Jesus answered him, “I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always meet. I said nothing in secret. 21 Why do you ask me? Ask those who have heard me what I said to them. Behold, they know the things which I said.”
22 When he had said this, one of the officers standing by slapped Jesus with his hand, saying, “Do you answer the high priest like that?”
23 Jesus answered him, “If I have spoken evil, testify of the evil; but if well, why do you beat me?”
24 Annas sent him bound to Caiaphas, the high priest.
25 Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him, “You aren’t also one of his disciples, are you?”
He denied it and said, “I am not.”
26 One of the servants of the high priest, being a relative of him whose ear Peter had cut off, said, “Didn’t I see you in the garden with him?”
27 Peter therefore denied it again, and immediately the rooster crowed.
28 They led Jesus therefore from Caiaphas into the Praetorium. It was early, and they themselves didn’t enter into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the Passover. 29 Pilate therefore went out to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this man?”
30 They answered him, “If this man weren’t an evildoer, we wouldn’t have delivered him up to you.”
31 Pilate therefore said to them, “Take him yourselves, and judge him according to your law.”
Therefore the Jews said to him, “It is illegal for us to put anyone to death,” 32 that the word of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spoke, signifying by what kind of death he should die.
33 Pilate therefore entered again into the Praetorium, called Jesus, and said to him, “Are you the King of the Jews?”
34 Jesus answered him, “Do you say this by yourself, or did others tell you about me?”
35 Pilate answered, “I’m not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered you to me. What have you done?”
36 Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I wouldn’t be delivered to the Jews. But now my Kingdom is not from here.”
37 Pilate therefore said to him, “Are you a king then?”
Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this reason I have been born, and for this reason I have come into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”
38 Pilate said to him, “What is truth?”
When he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no basis for a charge against him. 39 But you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Therefore, do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”
40 Then they all shouted again, saying, “Not this man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a robber.
