17 耶稣说完后，就抬头望着天说：“父啊！时候到了，愿你使你的儿子得荣耀，好让你的儿子也使你得荣耀。 2 因为你把管理世人的权柄赐给了祂，使祂可以将永生赐予你交托给祂的人。 3 这永生就是，认识你——独一的真神，并且认识你所差来的耶稣基督。 4 我已经完成你交给我的工作，使你在地上得了荣耀。 5 父啊，现在让我和你同享创世以前我们所共有的荣耀吧！
6 “你从世上赐给我的人，我已将你[a]显明给他们。他们本来属于你，你将他们赐给了我，他们遵守你的道。 7 如今他们知道，你赐给我的一切都是从你那里来的， 8 因为我已经把你赐给我的道赐给他们，他们也接受了，并且确实知道我是从你那里来的，也相信是你差遣了我。
9 “我不为世人祈求，却为他们祈求，就是为你赐给我的那些人祈求，因为他们属于你。 10 一切属于我的都是你的，属于你的也是我的，我从他们身上得了荣耀。 11 现在我要离开这个世界去你那里了，他们却仍然留在世上。圣父啊，求你为了自己的名，就是你赐给我的名而保守他们，使他们像我们一样合而为一。 12 我和他们在一起的时候，靠着你赐给我的名保守他们，看顾他们。除了那个注定灭亡的人以外，他们一个也没有灭亡，这是为了应验圣经上的话。
13 “现在我要去你那里了，我趁着还在世上的时候这样说，是要叫他们心里充满我的喜乐。 14 我已将你的道赐给他们，世人恨他们，因为他们像我一样不属于这个世界。 15 我不求你带他们离开这个世界，但求你保守他们脱离那恶者。 16 因为他们像我一样不属于这个世界。 17 求你用真理，就是你的道，使他们圣洁。 18 你怎样差我到世上来，我也照样差他们到世人中间。 19 为了他们，我献上自己，使他们借着真理可以圣洁。
20 “我不但为这些人祈求，也为那些因他们的话而信我的人祈求， 21 使他们都合而为一，正如父你在我里面，我在你里面一样，并且使他们也在我们里面，好让世人相信是你差我来的。 22 我又将你赐给我的荣耀赐给他们，使他们像我们一样合而为一。 23 我在他们里面，你在我里面，好使他们也完完全全地合而为一。这样，世人便知道我是你差来的，而且知道你爱他们，就像爱我一样。
24 “父啊！我在哪里，愿你赐给我的人也在哪里，好让他们看见你赐给我的荣耀，因为在创世以前你已经爱我了。 25 公义的父啊！世界还未认识你以前，我已经认识你了，这些人也知道是你差我来的。 26 我使他们认识了你的名，我还要使他们更认识你，好让你对我的爱存在他们里面，我也在他们里面。”

6 “你从世上分别出来赐给我的人，我已经把你的名显明给他们了。他们是你的，你把他们赐给了我，他们也遵守了你的道。 7 现在他们知道，你所给我的，无论是甚么，都是从你那里来的； 8 因为你赐给我的话，我已经给了他们，他们也领受了，又确实知道我是从你那里来的，并且信你差了我来。 9 我为他们求；我不为世人求，而是为你赐给我的人求，因为他们是你的。 10 我的一切都是你的，你的一切也是我的，并且我因着他们得了荣耀。 11 我不再在这世上，他们却在这世上，我要到你那里去。圣父啊，求你因你赐给我的名，保守他们，使他们合而为一，好象我们一样。 12 我跟他们在一起的时候，因你赐给我的名，我保守了他们，也护卫了他们；他们中间除了那灭亡的人以外，没有一个是灭亡的，这就应验了经上的话。 13 现在我到你那里去，我在世上说这些话，是要他们心里充满我的喜乐。 14 我把你的道赐给了他们；世人恨他们，因为他们不属于这世界，像我不属于这世界一样。 15 我不求你使他们离开世界，只求你保守他们脱离那恶者。 16 他们不属于这世界，像我不属于这世界一样。 17 求你用真理使他们成圣；你的道就是真理。 18 你怎样差我到世上来，我也怎样差他们到世上去。 19 我为了他们的缘故，自己分别为圣，使他们也因着真理成圣。
祈求使门徒合而为一

The High Priestly Prayer
17 Jesus spoke these things; and (A)raising His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come; (B)glorify Your Son, so that the Son may glorify You, 2 just as (C)You gave Him authority over all [a]mankind, so that [b](D)to all whom You have given Him, (E)He may give eternal life. 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, (F)the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom (G)You have sent. 4 (H)I glorified You on the earth [c](I)by accomplishing the work which You have given Me to do. 5 And now You, Father, (J)glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had (K)with You before the world existed.
6 “(L)I have revealed Your name to the men whom (M)You gave Me out of the world; they were (N)Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have (O)followed Your word. 7 Now they have come to know that everything which You have given Me is from You; 8 for (P)the words which You gave Me (Q)I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that (R)I came forth from You, and they believed that (S)You sent Me. 9 (T)I ask on their behalf; (U)I do not ask on behalf of the world, but on the behalf of those whom (V)You have given Me, because (W)they are Yours; 10 and (X)all things that are Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them. 11 I am no longer going to be in the world; and yet (Y)they themselves are in the world, and (Z)I am coming to You. The Disciples in the World
13 But now (AH)I am coming to You; and (AI)these things I speak in the world so that they may have My (AJ)joy made full in themselves. 14 I have given them Your word; and (AK)the world has hated them because (AL)they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them away from [e](AM)the evil one. 16 (AN)They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 (AO)Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. 18 Just as (AP)You sent Me into the world, (AQ)I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I (AR)sanctify Myself, so that they themselves also may be (AS)sanctified (AT)in truth.
20 “I am not asking on behalf of these alone, but also for those who believe in Me through their word, 21 that they may all be one; (AU)just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, (AV)so that the world may [f]believe that (AW)You sent Me.
Disciples’ Future Glory
22 The (AX)glory which You have given Me I also have given to them, so that they may be one, just as We are one; 23 (AY)I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected [g]in unity, so that the world may [h]know that (AZ)You sent Me, and You (BA)loved them, just as You loved Me. 24 Father, I desire that (BB)they also, whom You have given Me, (BC)be with Me where I am, so that they may see My (BD)glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before (BE)the foundation of the world.
25 “(BF)Righteous Father, [i]although (BG)the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that (BH)You sent Me; 26 and (BI)I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that (BJ)the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

6 ‘I have revealed your name(M) to the people you gave me(N) from the world.(O) They were yours, you gave them to me,(P) and they have kept your word.(Q) 7 Now they know that everything you have given me is from you, 8 because I have given them the words you gave me.(R) They have received them and have known for certain that I came from you.(S) They have believed that you sent me.
9 ‘I pray[b] for them. I am not praying for the world but for those you have given me,(T) because they are yours. 10 Everything I have is yours, and everything you have is mine,(U) and I am glorified in them. 11 I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you.(V) Holy(W) Father, protect[c] them by your name(X) that you have given me, so that they may be one(Y) as we are(Z) one. 12 While I was with them, I was protecting them by your name that you have given me. Jesus Prays for All Believers
20 ‘I pray not only for these, but also for those who believe in me through their word. 21 May they all be one,(AL) as you, Father, are in me and I am in you.(AM) May they also be[e] in us, so that the world may believe you sent me. 22 I have given them the glory(AN) you have given me, so that they may be one as we are one. 23 I am in them and you are in me,(AO) so that they may be made completely one, that the world may know you have sent me and have loved(AP) them as you have loved me.(AQ)
24 ‘Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am,(AR) so that they will see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the world’s foundation. 25 Righteous Father, the world has not known you. However, I have known you,(AS) and they have known that you sent me. 26 I made your name(AT) known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love you have loved me with may be in them and I may be in them.’(AU)
