14 “你们心里不要忧愁，你们信神，也当信我。 2 在我父的家里有许多住处，若是没有，我就早已告诉你们了，我去原是为你们预备地方去。 3 我若去为你们预备了地方，就必再来接你们到我那里去，我在哪里，叫你们也在哪里。 4 我往哪里去你们知道，那条路你们也知道。[a]” 5 多马对他说：“主啊，我们不知道你往哪里去，怎么知道那条路呢？”
主为道路真理生命
6 耶稣说：“我就是道路、真理、生命。若不借着我，没有人能到父那里去。 7 你们若认识我，也就认识我的父。从今以后，你们认识他，并且已经看见他。” 8 腓力对他说：“求主将父显给我们看，我们就知足了。” 9 耶稣对他说：“腓力，我与你们同在这样长久，你还不认识我吗？人看见了我，就是看见了父，你怎么说‘将父显给我们看’呢？ 10 我在父里面，父在我里面，你不信吗？我对你们所说的话，不是凭着自己说的，乃是住在我里面的父做他自己的事。 11 你们当信我，我在父里面，父在我里面；即或不信，也当因我所做的事信我。 12 我实实在在地告诉你们：我所做的事，信我的人也要做，并且要做比这更大的事，因为我往父那里去。 13 你们奉我的名无论求什么，我必成就，叫父因儿子得荣耀。 14 你们若奉我名求告什么，我必成就。 15 你们若爱我，就必遵守我的命令。
应许赐保惠师
16 “我要求父，父就另外赐给你们一位保惠师[b]，叫他永远与你们同在， 17 就是真理的圣灵，乃世人不能接受的，因为不见他，也不认识他。你们却认识他，因他常与你们同在，也要在你们里面。 18 我不撇下你们为孤儿，我必到你们这里来。 19 还有不多的时候，世人不再看见我，你们却看见我，因为我活着，你们也要活着。 20 到那日，你们就知道我在父里面，你们在我里面，我也在你们里面。
爱主的必遵守主道
21 “有了我的命令又遵守的，这人就是爱我的。爱我的必蒙我父爱他，我也要爱他，并且要向他显现。” 22 犹大（不是加略人犹大）问耶稣说：“主啊，为什么要向我们显现，不向世人显现呢？” 23 耶稣回答说：“人若爱我，就必遵守我的道，我父也必爱他，并且我们要到他那里去，与他同住。 24 不爱我的人就不遵守我的道；你们所听见的道不是我的，乃是差我来之父的道。
25 “我还与你们同住的时候，已将这些话对你们说了。 26 但保惠师，就是父因我的名所要差来的圣灵，他要将一切的事指教你们，并且要叫你们想起我对你们所说的一切话。 27 我留下平安给你们，我将我的平安赐给你们。我所赐的不像世人所赐的，你们心里不要忧愁，也不要胆怯。 28 你们听见我对你们说了，我去，还要到你们这里来。你们若爱我，因我到父那里去，就必喜乐，因为父是比我大的。 29 现在事情还没有成就，我预先告诉你们，叫你们到事情成就的时候，就可以信。 30 以后我不再和你们多说话，因为这世界的王将到；他在我里面是毫无所有， 31 但要叫世人知道我爱父，并且父怎样吩咐我，我就怎样行。起来，我们走吧！”

14 耶稣继续说：“你们心里不要忧愁，你们要信上帝，也要信我。 2 我父的家里有许多住处，不然我就不会说去为你们安排地方了。 3 我安排好了以后，必定回来接你们到我那里。我在哪里，让你们也在哪里。 4 你们知道通往我要去的地方的路。”
5 多马说：“主啊，你要去哪里，我们还不知道，又怎么会知道路呢？”
6 耶稣说：“我就是道路、真理、生命，若不借着我，没有人能到父那里。 7 你们若认识我，也会认识我的父。从现在起，你们不但认识祂，而且也看见祂了。”
8 腓力说：“主啊！求你让我们看看父，我们就心满意足了。”
9 耶稣说：“腓力，我和你们相处了这么久，你还不认识我吗？人看见了我，就看见了父，你怎么说‘让我们看看父’呢？ 10 难道你不相信我在父里面，父也在我里面吗？我这些话不是凭自己讲的，而是住在我里面的父在做祂自己的工作。 11 你们应当相信我在父里面，父也在我里面。即使你们不信，也应该因我所做的而信我。 12 我实实在在地告诉你们，我所做的事，信我的人也要做，而且要做更大的事，因为我要回到父那里。 13 你们奉我的名无论求什么，我必应允，好让父在子身上得到荣耀。 14 你们若奉我的名向我求什么，我必应允。
应许赐下圣灵
15 “你们若爱我，就必遵守我的命令。 16 我要求父另外赐一位护慰者给你们，祂要永远和你们同在。 17 祂是真理的灵，世人不接受祂，因为他们看不见祂，也不认识祂；但你们却认识祂，因祂常与你们同在，并且要住在你们里面。 18 我不会撇下你们为孤儿，我必到你们这里来。 19 不久，世人就看不见我了，而你们却能看见我，因为我活着，你们也要活着。 20 到了那一天，你们就知道我在父里面，你们在我里面，我也在你们里面。 21 接受我的命令又遵行的，就是爱我的人。爱我的，父必定爱他，我也要爱他，并且要亲自向他显现。”

23 耶稣回答说：“爱我的人必遵行我的道，我父也必爱他，并且我们要到他那里与他同住。 24 不爱我的人不会遵行我的道。你们所听见的道不是出于我自己，而是出于差我来的父。 25 我还与你们在一起的时候，将这些事情都告诉了你们。 26 但护慰者，就是父为我的名而差来的圣灵，将教导你们一切的事，并使你们想起我对你们说的一切话。 27 我把平安留给你们，把我的平安赐给你们，我赐给你们的平安不像世人给的平安。你们心里不要忧愁，也不要害怕。
28 “我对你们说过，我去了还要再回到你们这里。如果你们真的爱我，就应当为我去父那里而欢喜快乐，因为父比我大。 29 现在事情还没有发生，我便先告诉你们，到了事情发生的时候，你们就会相信。 30 我不再跟你们多谈，因为世界的王快要来了。他根本没有力量胜过我， 31 但这是为了让世人知道我爱父，父怎么吩咐我，我就怎么做。起来，我们走吧！”

14 “Don’t be troubled. Believe in God, and believe in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms. If that were not true, would I have told you that I’m going to prepare a place for you? 3 If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again. Then I will bring you into my presence so that you will be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you’re going. So how can we know the way?”
6 Yeshua answered him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father except through me. 7 If you have known me, you will also know my Father. From now on you know him through me and have seen him in me.”
8 Philip said to Yeshua, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will satisfy us.”
9 Yeshua replied, “I have been with all of you for a long time. Don’t you know me yet, Philip? The person who has seen me has seen the Father. So how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? What I’m telling you doesn’t come from me. The Father, who lives in me, does what he wants. 11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and that the Father is in me. Otherwise, believe me because of the things I do.
12 “I can guarantee this truth: Those who believe in me will do the things that I am doing. They will do even greater things because I am going to the Father. 13 I will do anything you ask the Father in my name so that the Father will be given glory because of the Son. 14 If you ask me to do something, I will do it.
15 “If you love me, you will obey my commandments. 16 I will ask the Father, and he will give you another helper who will be with you forever. 17 That helper is the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept him, because it doesn’t see or know him. You know him, because he lives with you and will be in you.
18 “I will not leave you all alone. I will come back to you. 19 In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. You will live because I live. 20 On that day you will know that I am in my Father and that you are in me and that I am in you. 21 Whoever knows and obeys my commandments is the person who loves me. Those who love me will have my Father’s love, and I, too, will love them and show myself to them.”
22 Judas (not Iscariot) asked Yeshua, “Lord, what has happened that you are going to reveal yourself to us and not to the world?”
23 Yeshua answered him, “Those who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will go to them and make our home with them. 24 A person who doesn’t love me doesn’t do what I say. I don’t make up what you hear me say. What I say comes from the Father who sent me.
25 “I have told you this while I’m still with you. 26 However, the helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything. He will remind you of everything that I have ever told you.
27 “I’m leaving you peace. I’m giving you my peace. I don’t give you the kind of peace that the world gives. So don’t be troubled or cowardly. 28 You heard me tell you, ‘I’m going away, but I’m coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I’m going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.
29 “I’m telling you this now before it happens. When it does happen, you will believe. 30 The ruler of this world has no power over me. But he’s coming, so I won’t talk with you much longer. 31 However, I want the world to know that I love the Father and that I am doing exactly what the Father has commanded me to do. Get up! We have to leave.”
