17 耶穌到了，知道拉撒路在墳墓裡已經四天了。 18 伯大尼靠近耶路撒冷，相距約有三公里。 19 有許多猶太人來到馬大和馬利亞那裡，為了拉撒路的死來安慰她們。 20 馬大聽見耶穌來了，就去迎接他，馬利亞卻仍然坐在家裡。 21 馬大對耶穌說：“主啊，如果你早在這裡，我的兄弟就不會死了！ 22 就是現在，我也知道無論你向 神求甚麼， 神必賜給你。” 23 耶穌對她說：“你的兄弟必會復活。” 24 馬大說：“我知道在末日復活的時候，他必會復活。” 25 耶穌說：“我就是復活和生命；信我的人，雖然死了，也要活著。 26 所有活著又信我的人，必定永遠不死，你信這話嗎？” 27 她說：“主啊，我信；我已經信了，你是基督，是 神的兒子，是那要到世上來的。”
耶穌使拉撒路復活
28 馬大說了這些話，就回去叫她妹妹馬利亞，暗暗地說：“老師來了，他叫你。” 29 馬利亞一聽見，就急忙起來，到耶穌那裡去。 30 那時，耶穌還沒有進入村子，仍然在馬大迎接他的地方。 31 那些在房子裡和馬利亞在一起安慰她的猶太人，見她匆忙地起來出去，就跟著她，以為她要到墳墓那裡去哭。 32 馬利亞來到耶穌那裡，一看見他，就俯伏在他腳前，說：“主啊，如果你早在這裡，我的兄弟就不會死了！” 33 耶穌看見她在哭，和她一同來的猶太人也在哭，就心裡激動，難過起來， 34 說：“你們把他安放在哪裡？”他們說：“主啊，請來看。” 35 耶穌哭了。

20 马大听说耶稣来了，就去迎接他，马利亚留在家里， 21 马大对耶稣说∶“主，您若早点来，我的兄弟就不会死了。 22 可我知道，即便是现在，不论您向上帝请求什么，上帝都会给予您的。”
23 耶稣对她说∶“你兄弟会活过来的。”
24 马大对他说∶“我知道在这个时代的末日，复活之际，他会重获生命的。”
25 耶稣说∶“我就是复活，我就是生命，信仰我的人，死了也将会再生， 26 任何活着并信仰我的人都永远不会死，你相信这些吗？”
27 她说∶“我信，主，我相信您是基督，是那就要降临到这个世界的上帝之子。”
耶稣哭了
28 说完这话，她回去叫她妹妹马利亚，悄悄对她说∶“老师在这里，他叫你呢！”
29 马利亚听了，立即起身去见耶稣。 30 （耶稣还在遇见马大的地方，还没有进村呢）。 31 当时，和她在一起安慰她的犹太人，看见她起身匆匆离开，便跟在她身后，还以为她要去哭坟。 32 马利亚来到耶稣那里，一看到他，便扑倒在他面前，对他说∶“主，如果您早些来，我兄弟就不会死了。” 33 耶稣看到她和那些与她一起来的犹太人都痛哭着，便被深深地打动了，非常悲伤， 34 他问道∶“你们把他安葬在哪里了？”
他们告诉他∶“主，请您过来看。”
35 耶稣也禁不住地哭了。

I Am the Resurrection and the Life
17 So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days. 18 Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about [a]two miles away. 19 And many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.
20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him, but Mary was sitting in the house. 21 Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that (A)whatever You ask of God, God will give You.”
23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”
24 Martha said to Him, (B)“I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
25 Jesus said to her, “I am (C)the resurrection and the life. (D)He who believes in Me, though he may (E)die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
27 She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, (F)I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
Jesus and Death, the Last Enemy
28 And when she had said these things, she went her way and secretly called Mary her sister, saying, “The Teacher has come and is calling for you.” 29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly and came to Him. 30 Now Jesus had not yet come into the town, but [b]was in the place where Martha met Him. 31 (G)Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and comforting her, when they saw that Mary rose up quickly and went out, followed her, [c]saying, “She is going to the tomb to weep there.”
32 Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she (H)fell down at His feet, saying to Him, (I)“Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”
33 Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled. 34 And He said, “Where have you laid him?”
They said to Him, “Lord, come and see.”
35 (J)Jesus wept.

28 And when she had said these things, she went her way and secretly called Mary her sister, saying, “The Teacher has come and is calling for you.” 29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly and came to Him. 30 Now Jesus had not yet come into the town, but [b]was in the place where Martha met Him. 31 (G)Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and comforting her, when they saw that Mary rose up quickly and went out, followed her, [c]saying, “She is going to the tomb to weep there.”
