耶和华审判的日子
2 你们要在锡安吹响号角，
在我的圣山上发出警讯，
地上的居民都要战抖，
因为耶和华的日子将要来临，
已经近了。
2 那将是乌云密布、
天昏地暗的日子。
来了一支空前绝后、强盛无比的蝗虫大军，
它们像曙光一样布满山头。
3 它们的前队如火燎原，
后队如熊熊烈焰。
它们未到以前，
大地美得像伊甸园；
它们过去之后，
大地变成一片荒场。
地上的一切都逃不过这一场浩劫。
4 它们的形状像马，
快速奔驰如战马，
5 在山岭上跳跃奔腾，
如隆隆战车，
好像烈火吞噬干草的声音，
又如大军摆开阵式准备打仗。
6 它们一来，百姓就惊慌失措，
面如死灰。
7 它们快速奔跑像勇士，
攀登城墙如战士，
有条不紊地前进。
8 队伍整齐，各行其道，
势如破竹，无坚不摧。
9 它们冲向城邑，蹿上城墙，
爬进房屋，
如盗贼般破窗而入。
10 所到之处，
天摇地动，
日月昏暗，
星辰无光。
11 耶和华向祂的军队发号施令，
祂的队伍不计其数，
执行祂命令的是一支劲旅。
耶和华的日子伟大而可畏，
谁能承受得住呢？
呼吁人民悔改
12 耶和华说：
“现在，你们要禁食、哭泣、哀号，
全心回转归向我。”
13 你们要撕心般地悔改，
而不是撕裂衣服。
归向你们的上帝耶和华吧，
因为祂有恩典和怜悯，
不轻易发怒，
有无限的慈爱，
不忍心降灾祸。
14 谁知道呢？
或许祂转念心生怜悯，
给你们留下祝福，
使你们可以再次向你们的上帝耶和华献上素祭和奠祭。
15 要在锡安山吹响号角，
宣布禁食的日子，
举行庄严的聚会。
16 要招聚老人，聚集孩童，
包括吃奶的婴儿；
要吩咐新郎出洞房、
新娘出内室；
要召集全体人民，
让他们洁净自己。
17 让事奉耶和华的祭司站在圣殿门廊和祭坛中间，
哭泣恳求说：
“耶和华啊，
求你顾惜你的子民，
不要让外族人侮辱、
讥笑你的产业说，
‘你们的上帝在哪里呢？’”
再赐祝福
18 耶和华为自己的土地发热心，
祂怜悯自己的子民。
19 祂回应他们说：
“我必赐五谷、新酒和油给你们，
使你们饱足，
不再让你们受列国的羞辱。
20 我要赶出从北方来的军队，
把他们驱逐到一个干旱荒芜的地方，
把他们的领头部队赶进死海，
再把他们的殿后部队赶进地中海，
那时他们必臭气冲天、
腥味腾空，
因为耶和华为你们行了大事。”
21 大地啊，不用惧怕，
倒要欢喜快乐；
因为耶和华行了大事。
22 田野的走兽啊，不要惧怕，
因为绿草铺遍了原野，
树木也结满了果子，
无花果树和葡萄树都结实累累。
23 锡安的人民啊，
你们应当欢喜快乐，
从你们的上帝耶和华那里得到喜乐。
因为祂按时[a]降下甘霖，
像从前一样赐给你们秋雨、
春雨。
24 麦场必堆满五谷，
酒槽里的酒和油槽里的油必满溢。
25 “我派蝻虫、蚱蜢、蚂蚱
和蝗虫大军在那些年所吃掉的，
我要补偿你们。
26 你们必吃得饱足，
并赞美你们的上帝耶和华的名，
因祂为你们行了奇事。
我的子民永远不会再蒙羞。
27 这样，你们就知道我在以色列，
知道我是你们的上帝耶和华，
除我以外别无他神。
我的子民永远不会再蒙羞。
28 “以后，我要将我的灵浇灌所有的人。
你们的儿女要说预言，
老人要做异梦，
青年要见异象。
29 在那些日子，
我要将我的灵浇灌我的仆人和婢女。
30 “我要在天上地下行奇事，你们将看见血、火和烟柱。 31 太阳要变得昏暗，月亮要变得血红。在耶和华伟大而可畏的日子来临以前，这些事都会发生。 32 那时候，凡求告耶和华之名的人都必得救，因为在锡安山，在耶路撒冷城，必有逃脱灾难的人，耶和华所呼召的人必幸存下来，正如耶和华所言。”

Îndemn la pocăinţă
2 „Sunaţi(A) din trâmbiţă în Sion! Sunaţi(B) în gura mare pe muntele Meu cel sfânt, ca să tremure toţi locuitorii ţării. Căci vine ziua Domnului(C), este aproape!” 2 O zi de întuneric(D) şi negură mare, o zi de nori şi de întunecime. Ca zorile dimineţii se întinde peste munţi un popor mare(E) şi puternic, cum(F) n-a mai fost din veac şi nici în vremurile viitoare nu va mai fi. 3 Arde focul(G) înaintea lui şi pâlpâie flacăra după el. Înaintea lui, ţara era ca o grădină a Edenului(H) şi după el(I) este un pustiu sterp; nimic nu-i scapă. 4 Parcă(J) sunt nişte cai şi aleargă ca nişte călăreţi. 5 Vin uruind(K) ca nişte care pe munţi şi pârâie ca o flacără de foc când mistuie miriştea; par o puternică oştire(L), gata de luptă. 6 Tremură popoarele înaintea lor şi toate feţele îngălbenesc(M). 7 Aleargă ca nişte războinici, se suie pe ziduri ca nişte războinici, fiecare îşi vede de drumul lui şi nu se abate din cărarea lui. 8 Nu se împing unii pe alţii, fiecare ţine şirul, se năpustesc prin săgeţi şi nu se opresc din mers. 9 Se răspândesc în cetate, aleargă pe ziduri, se suie pe case şi intră(N) pe ferestre ca un hoţ(O). 10 Înaintea lor se cutremură pământul(P), se zguduie cerurile, soarele(Q) şi luna se întunecă şi stelele îşi pierd lumina. 11 Domnul(R) face să tune glasul Lui înaintea oştirii Sale(S), căci tabăra Lui este foarte mare şi cel ce împlineşte cuvântul este puternic(T). Dar mare este ziua Domnului(U) şi foarte înfricoşată. Cine(V) o poate suferi? 12 „Dar chiar acum, zice Domnul, întoarceţi-vă(W) la Mine cu toată inima, cu post, cu plânset şi bocet!” 13 Sfâşiaţi-vă inimile(X), nu hainele(Y), şi întoarceţi-vă la Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru. Căci El este milostiv(Z) şi plin de îndurare, îndelung răbdător şi bogat în bunătate şi-I pare rău de relele pe care le trimite. 14 Cine ştie(AA) dacă nu Se va întoarce şi nu Se va căi? Cine ştie dacă nu va lăsa după El o binecuvântare(AB), daruri de mâncare(AC) şi jertfe de băutură pentru Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru? 15 Sunaţi(AD) cu trâmbiţa în Sion! Vestiţi(AE) un post, chemaţi o adunare de sărbătoare! 16 Strângeţi poporul, ţineţi o adunare sfântă(AF)! Aduceţi(AG) pe bătrâni, strângeţi(AH) copiii şi chiar pruncii de la ţâţă! Să iasă(AI) mirele din cămara lui şi mireasa din odaia ei! 17 Preoţii, slujitorii Domnului, să plângă între tindă(AJ) şi altar şi să zică: „Doamne, îndură-Te(AK) de poporul Tău! Nu da de ocară moştenirea Ta, n-o face de batjocura popoarelor! Pentru ce(AL) să se zică printre neamuri: ‘Unde este Dumnezeul lor?’ ”
Făgăduinţe
18 Domnul a fost plin de râvnă(AM) pentru ţara Lui şi S-a îndurat(AN) de poporul Său. 19 Domnul a răspuns şi a zis poporului Său: „Iată, vă trimit(AO) grâu, must şi untdelemn proaspăt, ca să vă săturaţi de ele, şi nu vă voi mai face de ocară între neamuri. 20 Voi(AP) depărta de la voi pe vrăjmaşul de la miazănoapte(AQ), îl voi izgoni spre un pământ fără apă şi pustiu, îi voi împinge partea dinainte a oştirii lui în(AR) marea de răsărit şi coada oştirii în marea de apus(AS), iar duhoarea lui se va ridica în sus şi mirosul lui de putregai se va înălţa în văzduh, căci s-a crezut grozav. 21 Nu te teme, pământule, ci bucură-te şi veseleşte-te, căci Domnul face lucruri mari! 22 Nu vă temeţi, fiare de pe câmp(AT), căci izlazurile(AU) pustiei iarăşi vor înverzi, pomii îşi vor da roadele, smochinul şi viţa îşi vor da rodul lor. 23 Şi voi, copii ai Sionului, bucuraţi-vă şi veseliţi-vă(AV) în Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, căci El vă va da(AW) ploaie la vreme(AX), vă va trimite ploaie timpurie şi târzie, ca odinioară. 24 Ariile se vor umple de grâu, vor geme tocitoarele şi teascurile de must şi de untdelemn, 25 vă voi răsplăti astfel anii pe care(AY) i-au mâncat lăcustele Arbeh, Ielec, Hasil şi Gazam, oştirea Mea cea mare pe care am trimis-o împotriva voastră. 26 Veţi mânca(AZ) şi vă veţi sătura, şi veţi lăuda Numele Domnului, Dumnezeului vostru, care va face minuni cu voi şi poporul Meu niciodată nu va mai fi de ocară! 27 Şi veţi şti(BA) că Eu sunt în mijlocul(BB) lui Israel, că Eu sunt(BC) Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, şi nu este altul afară de Mine. Şi poporul Meu niciodată nu va mai fi de ocară. 28 După aceea(BD), voi turna(BE) Duhul Meu peste orice făptură; fiii(BF) şi fiicele(BG) voastre vor proroci, bătrânii voştri vor visa visuri şi tinerii voştri vor avea vedenii. 29 Chiar şi peste robi şi peste roabe(BH) voi turna Duhul Meu în zilele acelea. 30 Voi face să se vadă semne(BI) în ceruri şi pe pământ: sânge, foc şi stâlpi de fum; 31 soarele(BJ) se va preface în întuneric şi luna, în sânge înainte(BK) de a veni ziua Domnului, ziua aceea mare şi înfricoşată. 32 Atunci, oricine(BL) va chema Numele Domnului va fi mântuit. Căci mântuirea va fi pe Muntele Sionului(BM) şi la Ierusalim, cum a făgăduit Domnul, şi între cei rămaşi(BN) pe care-i va chema Domnul.

Un ejército de langostas
2 Tocad la trompeta en Sión;
dad la voz de alarma en mi santo monte.
Tiemblen todos los habitantes del país,
pues ya viene el día del Señor;
en realidad ya está cerca.
2 Día de tinieblas y oscuridad,
día de nubes y densos nubarrones.
Como la aurora que se extiende sobre los montes,
así avanza un pueblo fuerte y numeroso,
pueblo como nunca lo hubo en la antigüedad
ni lo habrá en las generaciones futuras.
3 El fuego devora delante de ellos;
detrás, las llamas lo queman todo.
Antes de su llegada, el país se parece al jardín del Edén;
después, queda un desolado desierto;
¡nada escapa a su poder!
4 Tienen aspecto de caballos;
galopan como corceles.
5 Y al saltar sobre las cumbres de los montes,
producen un estruendo como el de carros de guerra,
como el crepitar del fuego al consumir la hojarasca.
¡Son como un ejército poderoso en formación de batalla!
6 Ante él se estremecen las naciones;
todo rostro palidece.
7 Atacan como guerreros,
escalan muros como soldados.
Cada uno mantiene la marcha
sin romper la formación.
8 No se atropellan entre sí;
cada uno marcha en línea.
Se lanzan entre las flechas
sin romper filas.
9 Se abalanzan contra la ciudad,
arremeten contra los muros,
trepan por las casas,
se meten por las ventanas como ladrones.
10 Ante este ejército tiembla la tierra
y se estremece el cielo,
el sol y la luna se oscurecen
y las estrellas dejan de brillar.
11 Truena la voz del Señor
al frente de su ejército;
son innumerables sus tropas
y poderosos los que ejecutan su palabra.
El día del Señor es grande y terrible.
¿Quién lo podrá resistir?
Exhortación al arrepentimiento
12 «Ahora bien —afirma el Señor—,
volveos a mí de todo corazón,
con ayuno, llantos y lamentos».
13 Rasgaos el corazón
y no las vestiduras.
Volveos al Señor vuestro Dios,
porque él es bondadoso y compasivo,
lento para la ira y lleno de amor,
cambia de parecer y no castiga.
14 Tal vez Dios reconsidere y cambie de parecer,
y deje tras de sí una bendición.
Las ofrendas de cereales y las libaciones
son del Señor vuestro Dios.
15 Tocad la trompeta en Sión,
proclamad el ayuno,
convocad una asamblea solemne.
16 Congregad al pueblo,
purificad la asamblea;
juntad a los ancianos del pueblo,
reunid a los pequeños
y a los niños de pecho.
Que salga de su alcoba el recién casado,
y la recién casada de su cámara nupcial.
17 Lloren, sacerdotes, ministros del Señor,
entre el pórtico y el altar;
y digan: «Compadécete, Señor, de tu pueblo.
No entregues tu propiedad al oprobio,
para que las naciones no se burlen de ella.[a]
¿Por qué habrán de decir entre los pueblos:
“Dónde está su Dios?”»
La respuesta del Señor
18 Entonces el Señor mostró amor por su tierra
y perdonó a su pueblo.
19 Y les respondió el Señor:
«Mirad, os enviaré cereales, vino nuevo y aceite,
hasta dejaros plenamente satisfechos;
y no volveré a entregaros
al oprobio entre las naciones.
20 »Alejaré de vosotros al que viene del norte,
arrojándolo hacia una tierra seca y desolada:
lanzaré su vanguardia hacia el mar oriental,
y su retaguardia hacia el mar occidental.[b]
Subirá su hedor
y se elevará su fetidez».
¡El Señor hará grandes cosas!
21 No temas, tierra,
sino alégrate y regocíjate,
porque el Señor hará grandes cosas.
22 No temáis, animales del campo,
porque los pastizales de la estepa reverdecerán;
los árboles producirán su fruto,
y la higuera y la vid darán su riqueza.
23 Alegraos, hijos de Sión,
regocijaos en el Señor vuestro Dios,
que a su tiempo os dará las lluvias de otoño.
Os enviará la lluvia,
la de otoño y la de primavera,
como en tiempos pasados.
24 Las eras se llenarán de grano;
los lagares rebosarán de vino nuevo y de aceite.
25 «Yo os compensaré a vosotros
por los años en que todo lo devoró
ese gran ejército de langostas
que envié contra vosotros:
las grandes, las pequeñas,
las larvas y las orugas.[c]
26 Comeréis en abundancia, hasta saciaros,
y alabaréis el nombre del Señor vuestro Dios,
que hará maravillas con vosotros.
¡Nunca más será avergonzado mi pueblo!
27 Entonces sabréis que yo estoy en medio de Israel,
que yo soy el Señor vuestro Dios,
y no hay otro fuera de mí.
¡Nunca más será avergonzado mi pueblo!
El día del Señor
28 »Después de esto,
derramaré mi Espíritu sobre todo ser humano.
Vuestros hijos y vuestras hijas profetizarán,
tendrán sueños los ancianos
y visiones los jóvenes.
29 En esos días derramaré mi Espíritu
aun sobre los siervos y las siervas.
30 En el cielo y en la tierra mostraré prodigios:
sangre, fuego y columnas de humo.
31 El sol se convertirá en tinieblas
y la luna en sangre
antes que llegue el día del Señor,
día grande y terrible.
32 Y todo el que invoque el nombre del Señor
escapará con vida,
porque en el monte Sión y en Jerusalén
habrá escapatoria,
como lo ha dicho el Señor.
Y entre los sobrevivientes
estarán los llamados del Señor.

An Army of Locusts
Let all who live in the land tremble,
for the day of the Lord(D) is coming.
It is close at hand(E)—
2 a day of darkness(F) and gloom,(G)
a day of clouds(H) and blackness.(I)
Like dawn spreading across the mountains
a large and mighty army(J) comes,
such as never was in ancient times(K)
nor ever will be in ages to come.
3 Before them fire(L) devours,
behind them a flame blazes.
Before them the land is like the garden of Eden,(M)
behind them, a desert waste(N)—
nothing escapes them.
4 They have the appearance of horses;(O)
they gallop along like cavalry.
5 With a noise like that of chariots(P)
they leap over the mountaintops,
like a crackling fire(Q) consuming stubble,
like a mighty army drawn up for battle.
6 At the sight of them, nations are in anguish;(R)
every face turns pale.(S)
7 They charge like warriors;(T)
they scale walls like soldiers.
They all march in line,(U)
not swerving(V) from their course.
8 They do not jostle each other;
each marches straight ahead.
They plunge through defenses
without breaking ranks.
9 They rush upon the city;
they run along the wall.
They climb into the houses;(W)
like thieves they enter through the windows.(X)
10 Before them the earth shakes,(Y)
the heavens tremble,(Z)
the sun and moon are darkened,(AA)
and the stars no longer shine.(AB)
11 The Lord(AC) thunders(AD)
at the head of his army;(AE)
his forces are beyond number,
and mighty is the army that obeys his command.
The day of the Lord is great;(AF)
it is dreadful.
Who can endure it?(AG)
Rend Your Heart
12 “Even now,” declares the Lord,
“return(AH) to me with all your heart,(AI)
with fasting and weeping and mourning.”
13 Rend your heart(AJ)
and not your garments.(AK)
Return(AL) to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,(AM)
slow to anger and abounding in love,(AN)
and he relents from sending calamity.(AO)
14 Who knows? He may turn(AP) and relent(AQ)
and leave behind a blessing(AR)—
grain offerings and drink offerings(AS)
for the Lord your God.
15 Blow the trumpet(AT) in Zion,(AU)
declare a holy fast,(AV)
call a sacred assembly.(AW)
16 Gather the people,
consecrate(AX) the assembly;
bring together the elders,(AY)
gather the children,
those nursing at the breast.
Let the bridegroom(AZ) leave his room
and the bride her chamber.
17 Let the priests, who minister(BA) before the Lord,
weep(BB) between the portico and the altar.(BC)
Let them say, “Spare your people, Lord.
Do not make your inheritance an object of scorn,(BD)
a byword(BE) among the nations.
Why should they say among the peoples,
‘Where is their God?(BF)’”
The Lord’s Answer
19 The Lord replied[a] to them:
“I am sending you grain, new wine(BI) and olive oil,(BJ)
enough to satisfy you fully;(BK)
never again will I make you
an object of scorn(BL) to the nations.
20 “I will drive the northern horde(BM) far from you,
pushing it into a parched and barren land;
its eastern ranks will drown in the Dead Sea
and its western ranks in the Mediterranean Sea.
And its stench(BN) will go up;
its smell will rise.”
Surely he has done great things!
21 Do not be afraid,(BO) land of Judah;
be glad and rejoice.(BP)
Surely the Lord has done great things!(BQ)
22 Do not be afraid, you wild animals,
for the pastures in the wilderness are becoming green.(BR)
The trees are bearing their fruit;
the fig tree(BS) and the vine(BT) yield their riches.(BU)
23 Be glad, people of Zion,
rejoice(BV) in the Lord your God,
for he has given you the autumn rains
because he is faithful.(BW)
He sends you abundant showers,(BX)
both autumn(BY) and spring rains,(BZ) as before.
24 The threshing floors will be filled with grain;
the vats will overflow(CA) with new wine(CB) and oil.
25 “I will repay you for the years the locusts(CC) have eaten(CD)—
the great locust and the young locust,
the other locusts and the locust swarm[b]—
my great army(CE) that I sent among you.
26 You will have plenty to eat, until you are full,(CF)
and you will praise(CG) the name of the Lord your God,
who has worked wonders(CH) for you;
never again will my people be shamed.(CI)
27 Then you will know(CJ) that I am in Israel,
that I am the Lord(CK) your God,
and that there is no other;
never again will my people be shamed.(CL)
The Day of the Lord
28 “And afterward,
I will pour out my Spirit(CM) on all people.(CN)
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,(CO)
your old men will dream dreams,(CP)
your young men will see visions.
29 Even on my servants,(CQ) both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days.(CR)
30 I will show wonders in the heavens(CS)
and on the earth,(CT)
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
31 The sun will be turned to darkness(CU)
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.(CV)
32 And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord(CW) will be saved;(CX)
for on Mount Zion(CY) and in Jerusalem
there will be deliverance,(CZ)
as the Lord has said,
even among the survivors(DA)
whom the Lord calls.[c](DB)
