¹⁰耶和華對約書亞說：“你起來，為甚麼這樣臉伏在地呢？ ¹¹以色列人犯了罪，違背了我吩咐他們的約定，因為他們取了那當毀滅的物，他們偷竊，並且說謊，又把那當毀滅的物放在自己的物件中。 ¹²所以，以色列人在他們的仇敵面前站立不住，在他們的仇敵面前轉身逃跑，因為他們成了當毀滅的。如果你們不把那當毀滅的物從你們中間除掉，我就必不再與你們同在了。

¹⁰The Lord said to Joshua, “Stand up! What are you doing down on your face? ¹¹Israel has sinned;^(A) they have violated my covenant,^(B) which I commanded them to keep. They have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen, they have lied,^(C) they have put them with their own possessions.^(D) ¹²That is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies;^(E) they turn their backs^(F) and run^(G) because they have been made liable to destruction.^(H) I will not be with you anymore^(I) unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction.

¹¹Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.

¹²Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.
