以法莲所得之地
16 约瑟的子孙拈阄所得之地是从靠近耶利哥的约旦河起，以耶利哥东边的水为界，从耶利哥上去，通过山地的旷野，到伯特利； 2 又从伯特利到路斯，接连到亚基人的境界，至亚他绿， 3 又往西下到押利提人的境界，到下伯和仑的境界，直到基色，通到海为止。 4 约瑟的儿子玛拿西、以法莲就得了他们的地业。
5 以法莲子孙的境界，按着宗族所得的，记在下面。他们地业的东界是亚他绿亚达到上伯和仑； 6 往西通到北边的密米他，又向东绕到他纳示罗，又接连到雅挪哈的东边， 7 从雅挪哈下到亚他绿，又到拿拉，达到耶利哥，通到约旦河为止； 8 从他普亚往西，到加拿河，直通到海为止。这就是以法莲支派按着宗族所得的地业。 9 另外在玛拿西人地业中得了些城邑和属城的村庄，这都是分给以法莲子孙的。 10 他们没有赶出住基色的迦南人，迦南人却住在以法莲人中间，成为做苦工的仆人，直到今日。

16 Síðan kom upp hlutur Jósefs sona, og hlutu þeir land austan frá Jórdan, gegnt Jeríkó, til Jeríkóvatna, eyðimörkina, sem liggur frá Jeríkó upp á Betelfjöll.
2 Frá Betel lágu landamerkin til Lúz, þaðan yfir til lands Arkíta, til Atarót,
3 þaðan ofan á við og í vestur, til lands Jafletíta, að landamærum Bet Hóron neðri og allt til Geser, og þaðan alla leið til sjávar.
4 Synir Jósefs, Manasse og Efraím, fengu óðal sitt.
5 Þetta var land Efraíms sona, eftir ættum þeirra: Takmörk ættaróðals þeirra voru að austan Aterót Addar til Bet Hóron efri,
6 og takmörkin lágu út að hafi. Að norðan var Mikmetat, þaðan beygðu landamerkin af austur á við til Taanat Síló og þar fram hjá austur fyrir Janóha.
7 En frá Janóha lágu þau ofan á við til Atarót og Naarat, lentu hjá Jeríkó og lágu þaðan að Jórdan.
8 Frá Tappúa lágu landamerkin í vestur til Kana-lækjar og þaðan alla leið til sjávar. Þetta er óðal kynkvíslar Efraíms sona, eftir ættum þeirra,
9 auk þess borgirnar, sem skildar voru frá handa Efraíms sonum í ættaróðali Manasse sona _ allar borgirnar og þorpin, er að lágu.
10 En ekki ráku þeir burt Kanaanítana, sem bjuggu í Geser. Fyrir því búa Kanaanítar meðal Efraíms fram á þennan dag og urðu vinnuskyldir þrælar.

Ephraim and West Manasseh
16 The lot [a]fell to the children of Joseph from the Jordan, by Jericho, to the waters of Jericho on the east, to the (A)wilderness that goes up from Jericho through the mountains to [b]Bethel, 2 then went out [c]from (B)Bethel to Luz, passed along to the border of the Archites at Ataroth, 3 and went down westward to the boundary of the Japhletites, (C)as far as the boundary of Lower Beth Horon to (D)Gezer; and [d]it ended at the sea.
4 (E)So the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their [e]inheritance.
The Land of Ephraim
5 (F)The border of the children of Ephraim, according to their families, was thus: The border of their inheritance on the east side was (G)Ataroth Addar (H)as far as Upper Beth Horon.
6 And the border went out toward the sea on the north side of (I)Michmethath; then the border went around eastward to Taanath Shiloh, and passed by it on the east of Janohah. 7 Then it went down from Janohah to Ataroth and [f]Naarah, reached to Jericho, and came out at the Jordan.
8 The border went out from (J)Tappuah westward to the (K)Brook Kanah, and [g]it ended at the sea. This was the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families. 9 (L)The separate cities for the children of Ephraim were among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.
10 (M)And they did not drive out the Canaanites who dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites to this day and have become forced laborers.
