Joshua 10:24-26

²⁴And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.

²⁵And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the Lord do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.

²⁶And afterward Joshua smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening.

²⁴When they had brought these kings^(A) to Joshua, he summoned all the men of Israel and said to the army commanders who had come with him, “Come here and put your feet^(B) on the necks of these kings.” So they came forward and placed their feet^(C) on their necks.

²⁵Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous.^(D) This is what the Lord will do to all the enemies you are going to fight.” ²⁶Then Joshua put the kings to death and exposed their bodies on five poles, and they were left hanging on the poles until evening.
