8 書 亞 人 比 勒 達 回 答 說 ：
2 這 些 話 你 要 說 到 幾 時 ？ 口 中 的 言 語 如 狂 風 要 到 幾 時 呢 ？
3 神 豈 能 偏 離 公 平 ？ 全 能 者 豈 能 偏 離 公 義 ？
4 或 者 你 的 兒 女 得 罪 了 他 ； 他 使 他 們 受 報 應 。
5 你 若 殷 勤 地 尋 求 神 ， 向 全 能 者 懇 求 ；
6 你 若 清 潔 正 直 ， 他 必 定 為 你 起 來 ， 使 你 公 義 的 居 所 興 旺 。
7 你 起 初 雖 然 微 小 ， 終 久 必 甚 發 達 。
8 請 你 考 問 前 代 ， 追 念 他 們 的 列 祖 所 查 究 的 。
9 我 們 不 過 從 昨 日 才 有 ， 一 無 所 知 ； 我 們 在 世 的 日 子 好 像 影 兒 。
10 他 們 豈 不 指 教 你 ， 告 訴 你 ， 從 心 裡 發 出 言 語 來 呢 ？
11 蒲 草 沒 有 泥 豈 能 發 長 ？ 蘆 荻 沒 有 水 豈 能 生 發 ？
12 尚 青 的 時 候 ， 還 沒 有 割 下 ， 比 百 樣 的 草 先 枯 槁 。
13 凡 忘 記 神 的 人 ， 景 況 也 是 這 樣 ； 不 虔 敬 人 的 指 望 要 滅 沒 。
14 他 所 仰 賴 的 必 折 斷 ； 他 所 倚 靠 的 是 蜘 蛛 網 。
15 他 要 倚 靠 房 屋 ， 房 屋 卻 站 立 不 住 ； 他 要 抓 住 房 屋 ， 房 屋 卻 不 能 存 留 。
16 他 在 日 光 之 下 發 青 ， 蔓 子 爬 滿 了 園 子 ；
17 他 的 根 盤 繞 石 堆 ， 扎 入 石 地 。
18 他 若 從 本 地 被 拔 出 ， 那 地 就 不 認 識 他 ， 說 ： 我 沒 有 見 過 你 。
19 看 哪 ， 這 就 是 他 道 中 之 樂 ； 以 後 必 另 有 人 從 地 而 生 。
20 神 必 不 丟 棄 完 全 人 ， 也 不 扶 助 邪 惡 人 。
21 他 還 要 以 喜 笑 充 滿 你 的 口 ， 以 歡 呼 充 滿 你 的 嘴 。
22 恨 惡 你 的 要 披 戴 慚 愧 ； 惡 人 的 帳 棚 必 歸 於 無 有 。

比勒达发言
8 书亚人比勒达回答约伯说：
2 “你要这样絮叨到何时？
你的话犹如阵阵狂风。
3 上帝岂会歪曲正义？
全能者岂会颠倒是非？
4 如果你的儿女得罪了祂，
祂会给他们应有的惩罚。
5 但你若寻求上帝，
向全能者恳求；
6 你若纯洁、正直，
祂必起身相助，
恢复你应有的家园。
7 你起初虽然卑微，
日后必兴旺发达。
8 “你要请教先辈，
探究祖先的经验。
9 因为我们就像昨天才出生，一无所知，
我们在世的日子如同掠影。
10 先辈必给你教诲和指点，
向你道出明智之言。
11 “蒲草无泥岂可长高？
芦苇无水岂可茂盛？
12 它们还在生长、尚未割下，
已比百草先枯萎。
13 忘记上帝的人，结局也是如此；
不信上帝的人，盼望终必破灭。
14 他所仰仗的虚若游丝，
他所倚靠的诚如蛛网。
15 他倚靠它，它却支撑不住；
他抓紧它，它却支离破碎。
16 他像阳光下生机勃勃的植物，
枝条爬满了园囿，
17 根茎盘绕石堆，
深深扎入石缝。
18 一旦他被连根拔起，
原处必否认见过他。
19 他的生命就这样消逝[a]，
地上会兴起其他人。
20 “上帝决不会抛弃纯全的人，
也不会扶持邪恶的人。
21 祂要使你笑口常开，
欢声不断。
22 憎恨你的人必抱愧蒙羞，
恶人的帐篷必不复存在。”

8 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
2 How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?
3 Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?
4 If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;
5 If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
6 If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
7 Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
8 For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:
9 (For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
10 Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?
11 Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?
12 Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb.
13 So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish:
14 Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider's web.
15 He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.
16 He is green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.
17 His roots are wrapped about the heap, and seeth the place of stones.
18 If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee.
19 Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.
20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:
21 Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing.
22 They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.
