9 耶 穌 過 去 的 時 候 ， 看 見 一 個 人 生 來 是 瞎 眼 的 。
2 門 徒 問 耶 穌 說 ： 拉 比 ， 這 人 生 來 是 瞎 眼 的 ， 是 誰 犯 了 罪 ？ 是 這 人 呢 ？ 是 他 父 母 呢 ？
3 耶 穌 回 答 說 ： 也 不 是 這 人 犯 了 罪 ， 也 不 是 他 父 母 犯 了 罪 ， 是 要 在 他 身 上 顯 出 神 的 作 為 來 。
4 趁 著 白 日 ， 我 們 必 須 做 那 差 我 來 者 的 工 ； 黑 夜 將 到 ， 就 沒 有 人 能 做 工 了 。
5 我 在 世 上 的 時 候 ， 是 世 上 的 光 。
6 耶 穌 說 了 這 話 ， 就 吐 唾 沫 在 地 上 ， 用 唾 沫 和 泥 抹 在 瞎 子 的 眼 睛 上 ，
7 對 他 說 ： 你 往 西 羅 亞 池 子 裡 去 洗 （ 西 羅 亞 繙 出 來 就 是 奉 差 遣 ） 。 他 去 一 洗 ， 回 頭 就 看 見 了 。

9 耶穌在路上看見一個生來失明的人。 2 門徒問耶穌：「老師，這個人生下來便雙目失明，是因為他犯了罪呢，還是他父母犯了罪呢？」
3 耶穌說：「不是他犯了罪，也不是他父母犯了罪，而是要在他身上彰顯上帝的作為。 4 趁著白天，我們必須做差我來者的工作，黑夜一到，就沒有人能工作了。 5 我在世上的時候，是世界的光。」
6 耶穌講完後，便吐唾沫在地上，用唾沫和泥抹在那盲人的眼睛上， 7 對他說：「到西羅亞池去洗洗！」西羅亞是「奉差遣」的意思。那盲人照著去做，回來的時候已經能看見了。

Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind
9 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi,(A) who sinned,(B) this man(C) or his parents,(D) that he was born blind?”
3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.(E) 4 As long as it is day,(F) we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”(G)
6 After saying this, he spit(H) on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. 7 “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam”(I) (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.(J)
