John 8:6-8
New International Version
6 They were using this question as a trap,(A) in order to have a basis for accusing him.(B)
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone(C) at her.”(D) 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

6 This they said, testing Him, that they (A)might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, [a]as though He did not hear.
7 So when they continued asking Him, He [b]raised Himself up and said to them, (B)“He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.
