¹⁷如果你們願意遵行上帝的旨意，就能分辨這些教導是出於上帝，還是出於我自己。 ¹⁸憑自己講論的人是要尋求自己的榮耀，但人子真實無偽，毫無不義，祂是為了使差祂來的那位得榮耀。 ¹⁹摩西不是把律法傳給了你們嗎？你們卻沒有一個人遵守。為什麼想要殺我呢？」

¹⁷If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

¹⁸He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

¹⁹Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?

¹⁷Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out^(A) whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. ¹⁸Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory,^(B) but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him. ¹⁹Has not Moses given you the law?^(C) Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?”^(D)
