治癒池邊的病人
5 這些事以後，猶太人的一個節日到了，耶穌就上耶路撒冷去。 2 在耶路撒冷的羊門附近有一個池子，希伯來語[a]叫做「貝示達[b]」，那裡有五道柱廊。 3 柱廊裡躺著一群患病的，有瞎眼的、瘸腿的、癱瘓的。他們正等著池水動起來， 4 因為主的天使按時下到池子裡攪動池水。每次水動起來時，第一個下到池子裡的人，無論患什麼病都會痊癒。[c]
5 那裡有一個人，病了三十八年。 6 耶穌見這個人躺在那裡，知道他已經病了很久，就問他：「你想痊癒嗎？」
7 那個病人回答：「先生，池水被攪動的時候，沒有人把我放進池子裡；而正當我要下去的時候，別人總比我先下去。」
8 耶穌對他說：「起來，拿起你的墊子走路吧！」 9 那個人立刻痊癒了，就拿起他的墊子開始走路。
那天是安息日， 10 所以那些猶太人對那得了痊癒的人說：「今天是安息日，你拿著墊子是不可以的！」
11 他就回答：「是那個使我痊癒的人對我說『拿起你的墊子走路吧。』」
12 他們問：「對你說『拿起[d]墊子走路』的那個人是誰？」 13 那得了痊癒的人並不知道他是誰，因為那裡有一群人，而耶穌已經抽身離去了。
14 這些事以後，耶穌在聖殿裡找到他，對他說：「看，你已經痊癒了。不要再犯罪，免得更嚴重的事臨到你。」 15 那個人就去向那些猶太人報告說，使他痊癒的是耶穌。
父與子
16 那些猶太人之所以逼迫耶穌，[e]是因為他在安息日做這些事。 17 耶穌卻對他們說：「直到如今，我父在做工，我也在做工。」 18 為此，那些猶太人更想要殺他，因為他不僅干犯了安息日，還稱神是他的父，把自己當做與神同等的。
19 耶穌對他們說：「我確確實實地告訴你們：子憑著自己什麼也不能做，只有看見父所做的，子才能做，因為父所做的事，子也同樣地做。 20 原來，父喜愛子，把自己所做的一切都給他看，還要把比這些更大的事給他看，使你們感到驚奇。 21 因為父怎樣使死人復活，賜他們生命，子也照樣按自己的意願賜人生命。 22 事實上，父並不審判任何人，而把一切審判的事都交給了子， 23 好使所有的人都尊重子，就像尊重父那樣。不尊重子的，就是不尊重派他來的父。
生命與審判
24 「我確確實實地告訴你們：誰聽我的話，又相信派我來的那一位，誰就有永恆的生命。他不但不被定罪，而且已經出死入生了。
25 「我確確實實地告訴你們：時候就要到了，現在就是了！當死人聽見神兒子的聲音時，聽到的人就將活了。 26 原來，父怎樣在自己裡面有生命，也照樣使子在自己裡面有生命； 27 並且把審判的權柄交給了他，因為他是人子。 28 你們不要為此感到驚奇：時候就要到了！那時所有在墳墓裡的人，都會聽到他的聲音， 29 並且要出來——行善的人復活得生命，作惡的人復活被定罪。
30 「我憑自己什麼也不能做。我怎麼聽見，就怎麼審判，而且我的審判是公義的，因為我不求自己的意思，而求那派我來者[f]的意思。
為子做見證
31 「如果我為自己做見證，我的見證就無效[g]。 32 為我做見證的另有一位，並且我知道，他為我做的見證是有效[h]的。 33 你們曾經派人到約翰那裡，他為真理做了見證。 34 其實我所接受的見證不是從人來的。不過我說這些話，是為了要你們得救。 35 約翰是一盞燃燒發光的燈，你們情願在他的光裡快樂一時。
36 「我有比約翰更大的見證，因為父交給我工作要我去完成。我現在做的這些工作正為我見證：就是父差派了我。 37 派我來的父也親自為我做了見證。你們從來沒有聽到他的聲音，也沒有看到他的相貌， 38 更沒有把他的話語[i]存在你們裡面，因為你們不信他所派來的那一位。 39 你們查考經文，因你們以為從中可以得到永恆的生命。其實這經文就是為我做見證的。 40 可是你們不肯到我這裡來得生命。
41 「我不接受從人而來的榮耀。 42 不過我了解你們，你們裡面沒有屬神的愛。 43 我奉我父的名來了，你們卻不接受我；如果有別人奉自己的名而來，你們倒會接受他。 44 你們彼此接受榮耀，卻不尋求從獨一的神而來的榮耀，那怎麼能信呢？ 45 不要以為我將要在父面前控告你們，有一位控告你們的，就是你們所仰賴的摩西。 46 事實上，如果你們信摩西，就會信我，因為他寫了關於我的事； 47 如果你們不相信他所寫的，又怎麼會相信我的話呢？」

5 Después de estas cosas había una fiesta de los judíos, y subió Jesús a Jerusalén.
2 Y hay en Jerusalén, cerca de la puerta de las ovejas, un estanque, llamado en hebreo Betesda, el cual tiene cinco pórticos. 3 En estos yacía una multitud de enfermos, ciegos, cojos y paralíticos, que esperaban el movimiento del agua. 4 Porque un ángel descendía de tiempo en tiempo al estanque, y agitaba el agua; y el que primero descendía al estanque después del movimiento del agua, quedaba sano de cualquier enfermedad que tuviese. 5 Y había allí un hombre que hacía treinta y ocho años que estaba enfermo. 6 Cuando Jesús lo vio acostado, y supo que llevaba ya mucho tiempo así, le dijo: ¿Quieres ser sano? 7 Señor, le respondió el enfermo, no tengo quien me meta en el estanque cuando se agita el agua; y entre tanto que yo voy, otro desciende antes que yo. 8 Jesús le dijo: Levántate, toma tu lecho, y anda. 9 Y al instante aquel hombre fue sanado, y tomó su lecho, y anduvo. Y era día de reposo[a] aquel día.
10 Entonces los judíos dijeron a aquel que había sido sanado: Es día de reposo;[b] no te es lícito llevar tu lecho.(A) 11 Él les respondió: El que me sanó, él mismo me dijo: Toma tu lecho y anda. 12 Entonces le preguntaron: ¿Quién es el que te dijo: Toma tu lecho y anda? 13 Y el que había sido sanado no sabía quién fuese, porque Jesús se había apartado de la gente que estaba en aquel lugar. 14 Después le halló Jesús en el templo, y le dijo: Mira, has sido sanado; no peques más, para que no te venga alguna cosa peor. 15 El hombre se fue, y dio aviso a los judíos, que Jesús era el que le había sanado. 16 Y por esta causa los judíos perseguían a Jesús, y procuraban matarle, porque hacía estas cosas en el día de reposo.[c] 17 Y Jesús les respondió: Mi Padre hasta ahora trabaja, y yo trabajo. 18 Por esto los judíos aún más procuraban matarle, porque no solo quebrantaba el día de reposo,[d] sino que también decía que Dios era su propio Padre, haciéndose igual a Dios.
La autoridad del Hijo
19 Respondió entonces Jesús, y les dijo: De cierto, de cierto os digo: No puede el Hijo hacer nada por sí mismo, sino lo que ve hacer al Padre; porque todo lo que el Padre hace, también lo hace el Hijo igualmente. 20 Porque el Padre ama al Hijo, y le muestra todas las cosas que él hace; y mayores obras que estas le mostrará, de modo que vosotros os maravilléis. 21 Porque como el Padre levanta a los muertos, y les da vida, así también el Hijo a los que quiere da vida. 22 Porque el Padre a nadie juzga, sino que todo el juicio dio al Hijo, 23 para que todos honren al Hijo como honran al Padre. El que no honra al Hijo, no honra al Padre que le envió.
24 De cierto, de cierto os digo: El que oye mi palabra, y cree al que me envió, tiene vida eterna; y no vendrá a condenación, mas ha pasado de muerte a vida. 25 De cierto, de cierto os digo: Viene la hora, y ahora es, cuando los muertos oirán la voz del Hijo de Dios; y los que la oyeren vivirán. 26 Porque como el Padre tiene vida en sí mismo, así también ha dado al Hijo el tener vida en sí mismo; 27 y también le dio autoridad de hacer juicio, por cuanto es el Hijo del Hombre. 28 No os maravilléis de esto; porque vendrá hora cuando todos los que están en los sepulcros oirán su voz; 29 y los que hicieron lo bueno, saldrán a resurrección de vida; mas los que hicieron lo malo, a resurrección de condenación.(B)
Testigos de Cristo
30 No puedo yo hacer nada por mí mismo; según oigo, así juzgo; y mi juicio es justo, porque no busco mi voluntad, sino la voluntad del que me envió, la del Padre. 31 Si yo doy testimonio acerca de mí mismo, mi testimonio no es verdadero. 32 Otro es el que da testimonio acerca de mí, y sé que el testimonio que da de mí es verdadero. 33 Vosotros enviasteis mensajeros a Juan, y él dio testimonio de la verdad.(C) 34 Pero yo no recibo testimonio de hombre alguno; mas digo esto, para que vosotros seáis salvos. 35 Él era antorcha que ardía y alumbraba; y vosotros quisisteis regocijaros por un tiempo en su luz. 36 Mas yo tengo mayor testimonio que el de Juan; porque las obras que el Padre me dio para que cumpliese, las mismas obras que yo hago, dan testimonio de mí, que el Padre me ha enviado. 37 También el Padre que me envió ha dado testimonio de mí.(D) Nunca habéis oído su voz, ni habéis visto su aspecto, 38 ni tenéis su palabra morando en vosotros; porque a quien él envió, vosotros no creéis. 39 Escudriñad las Escrituras; porque a vosotros os parece que en ellas tenéis la vida eterna; y ellas son las que dan testimonio de mí; 40 y no queréis venir a mí para que tengáis vida. 41 Gloria de los hombres no recibo. 42 Mas yo os conozco, que no tenéis amor de Dios en vosotros. 43 Yo he venido en nombre de mi Padre, y no me recibís; si otro viniere en su propio nombre, a ese recibiréis. 44 ¿Cómo podéis vosotros creer, pues recibís gloria los unos de los otros, y no buscáis la gloria que viene del Dios único? 45 No penséis que yo voy a acusaros delante del Padre; hay quien os acusa, Moisés, en quien tenéis vuestra esperanza. 46 Porque si creyeseis a Moisés, me creeríais a mí, porque de mí escribió él. 47 Pero si no creéis a sus escritos, ¿cómo creeréis a mis palabras?

Jesús sana al paralítico de Betzatá
5 Algún tiempo después, los judíos celebraban una fiesta, y Jesús volvió a Jerusalén. 2 En Jerusalén, cerca de la puerta llamada de las Ovejas, hay un estanque que en hebreo se llama Betzatá. Tiene cinco pórticos, 3 en los cuales se encontraban muchos enfermos, ciegos, cojos y tullidos echados en el suelo. 5 Había entre ellos un hombre que estaba enfermo desde hacía treinta y ocho años. 6 Cuando Jesús lo vio allí acostado y se enteró del mucho tiempo que llevaba así, le preguntó:
—¿Quieres recobrar la salud?
7 El enfermo le contestó:
—Señor, no tengo a nadie que me meta en el estanque cuando se remueve el agua. Cada vez que quiero meterme, otro lo hace primero.
8 Jesús le dijo:
—Levántate, alza tu camilla y anda.
9 En aquel momento el hombre recobró la salud, alzó su camilla y comenzó a andar. Pero como era sábado, 10 los judíos dijeron al que había sido sanado:
—Hoy es sábado; no te está permitido llevar tu camilla.
11 Aquel hombre les contestó:
—El que me devolvió la salud, me dijo: “Alza tu camilla y anda.”
12 Ellos le preguntaron:
—¿Quién es el que te dijo: “Alza tu camilla y anda”?
13 Pero el hombre no sabía quién lo había sanado, porque Jesús había desaparecido entre la mucha gente que había allí. 14 Después Jesús lo encontró en el templo, y le dijo:
—Mira, ahora que ya estás sano, no vuelvas a pecar, para que no te pase algo peor.
15 El hombre se fue y comunicó a los judíos que Jesús era quien le había devuelto la salud. 16 Por eso los judíos perseguían a Jesús, pues hacía estas cosas en sábado. 17 Pero Jesús les dijo:
—Mi Padre siempre ha trabajado, y yo también trabajo.
18 Por esto, los judíos tenían aún más deseos de matarlo, porque no solamente no observaba el mandato sobre el sábado, sino que además se hacía igual a Dios al decir que Dios era su propio Padre.
La autoridad del Hijo de Dios
19 Jesús les dijo: «Les aseguro que el Hijo de Dios no puede hacer nada por su propia cuenta; solamente hace lo que ve hacer al Padre. Todo lo que hace el Padre, también lo hace el Hijo. 20 Pues el Padre ama al Hijo y le muestra todo lo que hace; y le mostrará cosas todavía más grandes, que los dejarán a ustedes asombrados. 21 Porque así como el Padre resucita a los muertos y les da vida, también el Hijo da vida a quienes quiere dársela. 22 Y el Padre no juzga a nadie, sino que le ha dado a su Hijo todo el poder de juzgar, 23 para que todos den al Hijo la misma honra que dan al Padre. El que no honra al Hijo, tampoco honra al Padre, que lo ha enviado.
24 »Les aseguro que quien presta atención a lo que yo digo y cree en el que me envió, tiene vida eterna; y no será condenado, pues ya ha pasado de la muerte a la vida. 25 Les aseguro que viene la hora, y es ahora mismo, cuando los muertos oirán la voz del Hijo de Dios; y los que la oigan, vivirán. 26 Porque así como el Padre tiene vida en sí mismo, así también ha hecho que el Hijo tenga vida en sí mismo, 27 y le ha dado autoridad para juzgar, por cuanto que es el Hijo del hombre. 28 No se admiren de esto, porque va a llegar la hora en que todos los muertos oirán su voz 29 y saldrán de las tumbas. Los que hicieron el bien, resucitarán para tener vida; pero los que hicieron el mal, resucitarán para ser condenados.
Pruebas de la autoridad de Jesús
30 »Yo no puedo hacer nada por mi propia cuenta. Juzgo según el Padre me ordena, y mi juicio es justo, pues no trato de hacer mi voluntad sino la voluntad del Padre, que me ha enviado. 31 Si yo diera testimonio en favor mío, mi testimonio no valdría como prueba. 32 Pero hay otro que da testimonio en favor mío, y me consta que su testimonio sí vale como prueba. 33 Ustedes enviaron a preguntarle a Juan, y él dio testimonio a favor de la verdad. 34 Pero yo no dependo del testimonio de ningún hombre. Sólo digo esto para que ustedes alcancen la salvación. 35 Juan era como una lámpara que ardía y alumbraba, y ustedes quisieron gozar de su luz por un corto tiempo. 36 Pero tengo a mi favor un testimonio más valioso que el de Juan. Lo que yo hago, que es lo que el Padre me encargó que hiciera, comprueba que de veras el Padre me ha enviado. 37 Y también el Padre, que me ha enviado, da testimonio a mi favor, a pesar de que ustedes nunca han oído su voz ni lo han visto, 38 ni dejan que su palabra permanezca en ustedes, porque no creen en aquel que el Padre envió. 39 Ustedes estudian las Escrituras con mucho cuidado, porque esperan encontrar en ellas la vida eterna; sin embargo, aunque las Escrituras dan testimonio de mí, 40 ustedes no quieren venir a mí para tener esa vida.
41 »Yo no acepto gloria que venga de los hombres. 42 Además, los conozco a ustedes y sé que no tienen el amor de Dios. 43 Yo he venido en nombre de mi Padre, y ustedes no me aceptan; en cambio, si viniera otro en nombre propio, a ése lo aceptarían. 44 ¿Cómo pueden creer ustedes, si reciben gloria los unos de los otros y no buscan la gloria que viene del Dios único? 45 No crean que yo los voy a acusar delante de mi Padre; el que los acusa es Moisés mismo, en quien ustedes han puesto su confianza. 46 Porque si ustedes le creyeran a Moisés, también me creerían a mí, porque Moisés escribió acerca de mí. 47 Pero si no creen lo que él escribió, ¿cómo van a creer lo que yo les digo?»

The Healing at the Pool
5 Later on, there was another[a] festival of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 2 Near the Sheep Gate in Jerusalem is a pool called Bethesda[b] in Hebrew. It has five colonnades, 3 and under these a large number of sick people were lying—blind, lame, or paralyzed—waiting for the movement of the water.[c] 4 At certain times an angel of the Lord would go down into the pool and stir up the water, and whoever stepped in first after the stirring of the water was healed of whatever disease he had.[d]
5 One particular man was there who had been ill for 38 years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”
7 The sick man answered him, “Sir, I don’t have anyone to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up. While I’m trying to get there, someone else steps down ahead of me.”
8 Jesus told him, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!” 9 The man immediately became well, and he picked up his mat and started walking. Now that day was a Sabbath.
10 So the Jewish leaders[e] told the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath, and it is not lawful for you to carry your mat.
11 But he answered them, “The man who made me well told me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk.’”
12 They asked him, “Who is the man who told you, ‘Pick it up and walk’?”
13 But the one who had been healed did not know who it was, because Jesus had slipped away from the crowd in that place. 14 Later on, Jesus found him in the Temple and told him, “Look! You have become well. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.” 15 The man went off and told the Jewish leaders[f] that it was Jesus who had made him well. 16 So the Jewish leaders[g] began persecuting Jesus,[h] because he kept doing such things on the Sabbath.
17 But Jesus[i] answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I, too, am working.” 18 So the Jewish leaders[j] were trying all the harder to kill him, because he was not only breaking the Sabbath but was also calling God his own Father, thereby making himself equal to God.
The Authority of the Son
19 Jesus told them, “Truly, I tell all of you[k] emphatically, the Son can do nothing on his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing, What the Father does, the Son does likewise. 20 The Father loves the Son and shows him everything he is doing, and he will show him even greater actions than these, so that you may be amazed. 21 Just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to those he chooses. 22 The Father judges no one, but has given all authority to judge to the Son, 23 so that everyone may honor the Son as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.
24 “Truly, I tell all of you[l] emphatically, whoever hears what I say and believes in the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged, but has passed from death to life. 25 Truly, I tell all of you[m] emphatically, the time approaches, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear it will live. 26 Just as the Father has life in himself, so also he has granted the Son to have life in himself, 27 and he has given him authority to judge, because he is the Son of Man. 28 Don’t be amazed at this, because the time is approaching when everyone in their graves will hear the Son of Man’s[n] voice 29 and will come out—those who have done what is good to the resurrection that leads to[o] life, and those who have practiced what is evil to the resurrection that ends in[p] condemnation.[q] 30 I can do nothing on my own accord. I judge according to what I hear, and my judgment is just, because I do not seek my own will but the will of the one who sent me.”
Jesus’ Greater Testimony
31 “If I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is not trustworthy. 32 There is another who testifies about me, and I know[r] that the testimony he gives about me is true. 33 You have sent messengers[s] to John, and he has testified to the truth. 34 I myself do not accept human testimony, but I am saying these things so that you may be saved. 35 That man John[t] was a lamp that burns and brightly shines, and for a while you were willing to rejoice in his light.
36 “But I have a greater testimony than John’s, because the actions that the Father has given me to complete—the very actions that I am doing—testify on my behalf that the Father has sent me. 37 Moreover, the Father who sent me has himself testified on my behalf. You have never heard his voice or seen what he looks like, 38 nor do you have his word at work[u] in you, because you do not believe in the one whom he sent. 39 You examine the Scriptures carefully because you suppose that in them you have eternal life. Yet they testify about me. 40 But you are not willing to come to me to have life.
41 “I do not accept human praise. 42 I know that you do not have the love of God in you. 43 I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me. Yet if another man comes in his own name, you will accept him. 44 How can you believe when you accept each other’s praise and do not look for the praise that comes from the only God?[v] 45 Do not suppose that I will be the one to accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom you have set your hope, 46 because if you believed Moses, you would believe me, since he wrote about me. 47 But if you do not believe what he wrote, how will you believe my words?”

The Healing at the Pool
5 Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish festivals. 2 Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate(A) a pool, which in Aramaic(B) is called Bethesda[a] and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. 3 Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. [4] [b] 5 One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”
7 “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”
8 Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.”(C) 9 At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.
The day on which this took place was a Sabbath,(D) 10 and so the Jewish leaders(E) said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat.”(F)
11 But he replied, “The man who made me well said to me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk.’ ”
12 So they asked him, “Who is this fellow who told you to pick it up and walk?”
13 The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.
14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning(G) or something worse may happen to you.” 15 The man went away and told the Jewish leaders(H) that it was Jesus who had made him well.
The Authority of the Son
16 So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute him. 17 In his defense Jesus said to them, “My Father(I) is always at his work(J) to this very day, and I too am working.” 18 For this reason they tried all the more to kill him;(K) not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.(L)
19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself;(M) he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. 20 For the Father loves the Son(N) and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these,(O) so that you will be amazed. 21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life,(P) even so the Son gives life(Q) to whom he is pleased to give it. 22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son,(R) 23 that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.(S)
24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me(T) has eternal life(U) and will not be judged(V) but has crossed over from death to life.(W) 25 Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come(X) when the dead will hear(Y) the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life(Z) in himself. 27 And he has given him authority to judge(AA) because he is the Son of Man.
28 “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming(AB) when all who are in their graves will hear his voice 29 and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.(AC) 30 By myself I can do nothing;(AD) I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just,(AE) for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.(AF)

31 “If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true.(AG) 32 There is another who testifies in my favor,(AH) and I know that his testimony about me is true.
33 “You have sent to John and he has testified(AI) to the truth. 34 Not that I accept human testimony;(AJ) but I mention it that you may be saved.(AK) 35 John was a lamp that burned and gave light,(AL) and you chose for a time to enjoy his light.
36 “I have testimony weightier than that of John.(AM) For the works that the Father has given me to finish—the very works that I am doing(AN)—testify that the Father has sent me.(AO) 37 And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me.(AP) You have never heard his voice nor seen his form,(AQ) 38 nor does his word dwell in you,(AR) for you do not believe(AS) the one he sent.(AT) 39 You study[c] the Scriptures(AU) diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life.(AV) These are the very Scriptures that testify about me,(AW) 40 yet you refuse to come to me(AX) to have life.
41 “I do not accept glory from human beings,(AY) 42 but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts. 43 I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. 44 How can you believe since you accept glory from one another but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God[d]?(AZ)
45 “But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses,(BA) on whom your hopes are set.(BB) 46 If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me.(BC) 47 But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?”(BD)
