50 也不想一想，一個人替民眾死，免得全民族滅亡，這對你們[a]是有益處的。」 51 他說這話不是出於自己，只因他是當年的大祭司，就預言了耶穌要替全民族而死； 52 而且不僅是替猶太民族死，也是要把神的那些四散的兒女都召集合一。

50 You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish.”(A)
51 He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation, 52 and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one.(B)
