¹¹耶穌講了這些話，然後對他們說：「我們的朋友拉撒路睡了，我要去叫醒他。」

¹²門徒們就對他說：「主啊，他如果是睡著了，就有救了！」

¹³其實耶穌說的是拉撒路的死，他們卻以為他說的是睡覺休息。

John 11:11-13

New International Version

¹¹After he had said this, he went on to tell them, “Our friend^(A) Lazarus has fallen asleep;^(B) but I am going there to wake him up.”

¹²His disciples replied, “Lord, if he sleeps, he will get better.” ¹³Jesus had been speaking of his death, but his disciples thought he meant natural sleep.^(C)

¹¹These things He said, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus ^(A)sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.”

¹²Then His disciples said, “Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.” ¹³However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He was speaking about taking rest in sleep.
