远避淫乱
5 孩子啊，要留心听我的智言，
侧耳听我的慧语，
2 好保持明辨力，
嘴唇谨守知识。
3 淫妇满口甜言蜜语，
油嘴滑舌，
4 最后却苦如艾草，
锋利似双刃剑。
5 她的双脚走进死地，
她的步伐迈向阴间。
6 她不走生命的康庄大道，
偏离了正途也不自知。
7 孩子们啊，要听从我，
不可违背我的话！
8 要远远避开淫妇，
不可靠近她的家门，
9 免得你为别人枉费精力，
为残忍之徒断送青春；
10 免得外人吞尽你的财富，
你的辛劳所得归给他人。
11 临终之时，肉体衰残，
你必呻吟不止，
12 说：“我为何厌恶教诲，
心里藐视责备！
13 不听从老师的话，
不侧耳听导师之言。
14 在众人面前，
我几乎身败名裂。”
15 你当喝自己池中的水，
饮自己井里的活水。
16 你的泉水岂可外流？
你的河水怎可溢到街上？
17 这些要专属于你，
不可与外人共享。
18 要使你的泉源蒙福，
要爱你年轻时所娶的妻。
19 她高贵可爱宛如母鹿，
愿她的胸令你时时满足，
愿她的爱令你常常陶醉。
20 孩子啊，为何迷恋淫妇？
为何拥抱妓女的胸？
21 因为人的所作所为逃不过耶和华的眼目，
祂必鉴察人走的一切路。
22 恶人被自己的罪恶捉住，
被自己的罪恶捆绑。
23 他因不听教诲而丧命，

Warning Against Adultery
5 My son, (A)pay attention to my wisdom,
(B)Incline your ear to my discernment;
2 That you may (C)keep discretion
And that your (D)lips may guard knowledge.
3 For the lips of a (E)strange woman (F)drip honey
And (G)smoother than oil is her [a]speech;
4 But her end is (H)bitter as wormwood,
(I)Sharp as a two-edged sword.
5 Her feet (J)go down to death,
Her steps take hold of Sheol,
6 Lest she watch the (K)path of life;
Her tracks are (L)unstable, she (M)does not know it.
7 (N)So now, my sons, listen to me
And (O)do not turn away from the words of my mouth.
8 (P)Keep your way far from her
And do not go near the (Q)door of her house,
9 Lest you give your splendor to others
And your years to the cruel one;
10 Lest strangers be satisfied by your strength
And by your painful labor, those in the house of a foreigner;
11 And you groan at your [b]end,
When your flesh and your body are consumed;
12 And you say, “How I have (R)hated discipline!
And my heart (S)spurned reproof!
13 I have not listened to the voice of my (T)instructors,
And I have not inclined my ear to my teachers!
14 I was almost in utter ruin
In the midst of the assembly and congregation.”
15 Drink water from your own cistern
And [c]fresh water from your own well.
16 Should your (U)springs be dispersed abroad,
Streams of water in the streets?
17 Let them be for you alone,
And not for strangers with you.
18 Let your (V)fountain be blessed,
And (W)be glad in the (X)wife of your youth.
19 As a loving (Y)hind and a graceful doe,
Let her breasts satisfy you at all times;
Be [d]intoxicated always with her love.
20 So why should you, my son, be intoxicated with a (Z)strange woman
And embrace the bosom of a (AA)foreign woman?
21 For the (AB)ways of a man are before the eyes of Yahweh,
And He (AC)watches all his tracks.
22 His (AD)own iniquities will capture him who is the wicked one,
And with the cords of his sin he will be held fast.
23 He will (AE)die for lack of discipline,
And in the abundance of his [e]folly he will [f]stumble in intoxication.

5 My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:
2 That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.
3 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:
4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.
5 Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.
6 Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.
7 Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
8 Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:
9 Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:
10 Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger;
11 And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,
12 And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;
13 And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!
14 I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.
15 Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.
16 Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets.
17 Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee.
18 Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.
19 Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.
20 And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?
21 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his goings.
22 His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.
23 He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

O perigo da imoralidade sexual
5 Meu filho, preste atenção à minha sabedoria,
escute atentamente os meus conselhos.
2 Assim terá prudência
e terá cuidado com o que diz.
3 Os lábios da mulher imoral são doces como o mel,
a sua boca é mais suave do que o azeite.
4 Mas, no fim, só fica a amargura e a dor;
ela corta mais do que uma espada bem afiada.
5 Ela leva você para a morte;
os seus passos conduzem para o mundo dos mortos.
6 Ela não quer saber do caminho da vida,
anda perdida e não sabe.
7 Agora, ouça, meu filho,
e faça o que eu lhe digo.
8 Afaste-se da mulher que comete adultério;
nem sequer se aproxime da porta da sua casa,
9 para que não perca o melhor da sua vida
nem alguém estranho fique com o que é seu após tantos anos de trabalho;
10 para que nenhum estranho se encha com os seus bens,
nem o fruto do seu trabalho vá para uma casa que não é sua.

19 gazela querida, corça encantadora.

20 Meu filho, não se deixe seduzir pela mulher de outro homem,
não vá para a cama com uma mulher que não é sua.
21 O SENHOR está atento ao que cada pessoa faz,
ele vê para onde a pessoa vai.
22 O mau fica preso pela sua própria maldade;
os seus pecados o prendem como cordas.
23 A sua falta de disciplina o levará à morte,
a sua insensatez acabará com ele.
