敬畏 神大有倚靠
14 智慧妇人建立家室，
愚妄妇人亲手拆毁。
2 行事正直的，敬畏耶和华；
行为乖僻的，却藐视他。
3 愚妄人的口中长出骄傲的枝子；
智慧人的嘴唇，能保障自己。
4 没有耕牛，槽头干净；
出产丰盛，却是凭着牛的力量。
5 诚实的证人不说谎话；
虚伪的证人吐出谎言。
6 好讥笑人的寻找智慧，却寻不着；
聪明人寻找知识，却轻易得着。
7 你当离开愚昧人，
因为你不会从他的嘴里晓得知识。
8 精明人的智慧能分辨自己的道路；
愚昧人的愚妄却欺骗自己。
9 愚妄人讥笑赎愆祭，
正直人中间却有恩宠。
10 人的苦楚，只有自己心里知道；
心中的喜乐，外人也不能分享。
11 恶人的家必毁坏，
正直人的帐棚却必兴盛。
12 有一条路，人以为是正路，
走到尽头却是死亡之路。
13 人在喜笑中，心里也会有痛苦；
欢乐的结局，会是愁苦。
14 心中背道的，必饱尝自己行为的恶果；
善人也因自己所行的，得到善报。
15 愚蒙人凡话都信；
精明的人却步步谨慎。
16 智慧人敬畏耶和华（“智慧人敬畏耶和华”或译：“智慧人恐惧战兢”），远离恶事；
愚昧人却骄傲自恃。
17 轻易动怒的，行事愚妄；
心怀诡计的人，被人恨恶。
18 愚蒙人得愚妄为产业；

19 坏人必俯伏在好人面前，
恶人必俯伏在义人门口。
20 穷人连邻舍也厌恶他；
财主却有很多人爱他。
21 藐视邻舍的，是为有罪；
恩待贫穷人的，是为有福。
22 图谋恶事的，不是走错了吗？
谋求善事的，必得慈爱和诚实。
23 一切劳苦都有益处，
嘴上空谈引致贫穷。
24 智慧人的冠冕是他们的财富；
愚昧人的愚妄，始终是愚妄。
25 作真见证的，救人性命；
吐出谎言的，以诡诈害人。
26 敬畏耶和华的，大有倚靠；
他的子孙也有避难所。
27 敬畏耶和华是生命的泉源，
能使人避开死亡的网罗。
28 君王的荣耀在于人民众多，
帝王的没落由于国民寡少。
29 不轻易动怒的，十分聪明；
轻易动怒的，大显愚妄。
30 心里平静，可使身体健康；
但嫉妒能使骨头朽烂。
31 欺压贫寒的，就是辱骂造他的主；
恩待穷苦人的，就是尊敬造他的主。
32 恶人必因自己所行的恶事被推倒，
义人死的时候仍有所倚靠。
33 智慧居于聪明人的心中；
愚昧人心里所存的，人所周知（“愚昧人心里所存的，人所周知”或译：“（智慧）在愚昧人心里也显明自己”）。
34 正义使国家兴盛，
罪恶是人民的羞辱。
35 明慧的臣仆，为王喜悦；
贻羞的仆人，遭王震怒。

14 (A)The wisest of women (B)builds her house,
but folly with her own hands (C)tears it down.
2 Whoever (D)walks in uprightness fears the Lord,
but he who is (E)devious in his ways despises him.
3 By the mouth of a fool comes (F)a rod for his back,[a]
(G)but the lips of the wise will preserve them.
4 Where there are no oxen, the manger is clean,
but abundant crops come by the strength of the ox.
5 (H)A faithful witness does not lie,
but (I)a false witness breathes out lies.
6 (J)A scoffer seeks wisdom (K)in vain,
but (L)knowledge is easy for a man of understanding.
7 Leave the presence of a fool,
for there you do not meet words of knowledge.
8 The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way,
but the folly of fools is deceiving.
9 (M)Fools mock at the guilt offering,
but the upright enjoy acceptance.[b]
10 The heart knows its own (N)bitterness,
and no stranger shares its joy.
11 (O)The house of the wicked will be destroyed,
but the tent of the upright will flourish.
12 (P)There is a way that seems right to a man,
but (Q)its end is the way to death.[c]
13 Even in laughter the heart may ache,
and (R)the end of joy may be (S)grief.
14 The backslider in heart will be (T)filled with the fruit of his ways,
and (U)a good man will be filled with the fruit of his ways.
15 (V)The simple believes everything,
but the prudent gives thought to his steps.
16 (W)One who is wise is cautious[d] and (X)turns away from evil,
but a fool is reckless and careless.
17 A man of (Y)quick temper acts foolishly,
and a man of evil devices is hated.
18 The simple inherit folly,
but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
19 (Z)The evil bow down before the good,
the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
20 (AA)The poor is disliked even by his neighbor,
(AB)but the rich has many friends.
21 Whoever (AC)despises his neighbor is a sinner,
but (AD)blessed is he who is generous to the poor.
22 Do they not go astray who (AE)devise evil?
Those who devise good meet[e] (AF)steadfast love and faithfulness.
23 In all toil there is profit,
but mere talk (AG)tends only to poverty.
24 The crown of the wise is their wealth,
but the folly of fools brings folly.
25 A truthful witness saves lives,
but one who (AH)breathes out lies is deceitful.
26 In the fear of the Lord one has (AI)strong confidence,
and (AJ)his children will have (AK)a refuge.
27 The fear of the Lord is (AL)a fountain of life,
that one may (AM)turn away from the snares of death.
28 In (AN)a multitude of people is the glory of a king,
but without people a prince is ruined.
29 Whoever is (AO)slow to anger has great understanding,
but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.
30 A tranquil[f] heart gives (AP)life to the flesh,
but (AQ)envy[g] makes (AR)the bones rot.
31 Whoever oppresses a poor man (AS)insults his (AT)Maker,
(AU)but he who is generous to the needy honors him.
32 (AV)The wicked is overthrown through his evildoing,
but (AW)the righteous finds refuge in his death.
33 Wisdom (AX)rests in the heart of a man of understanding,
but it makes itself known even in the midst of fools.[h]
34 Righteousness exalts a nation,
but sin is a reproach to any people.
35 A servant who deals wisely has (AY)the king's favor,
but his wrath falls on one who acts shamefully.

14 La mujer sabia edifica su casa;
la necia, con sus manos la destruye.
2 El que va por buen camino teme al Señor;
el que va por malos caminos lo desprecia.
3 De la boca del necio brota arrogancia;
los labios del sabio son su propia protección.
4 Donde no hay bueyes el granero está vacío;
con la fuerza del buey aumenta la cosecha.
5 El testigo veraz jamás miente;
el testigo falso propaga mentiras.
6 El insolente busca sabiduría y no la halla;
para el entendido, el conocimiento es cosa fácil.
7 Mantente a distancia del necio,
pues en sus labios no hallarás conocimiento.
8 La sabiduría del prudente es discernir sus caminos,
pero al necio lo engaña su propia necedad.
9 Los necios hacen mofa de sus propias faltas,
pero entre los íntegros hay buena voluntad.
10 Cada corazón conoce sus propias amarguras,
y ningún extraño comparte su alegría.
11 La casa del malvado será destruida,
pero la morada del justo prosperará.
12 Hay un camino que al hombre le parece recto,

16 El sabio teme al Señor y se aparta del mal,
pero el necio es arrogante y se pasa de confiado.

y el malvado es odiado.
18 Herencia de los inexpertos es la necedad;
corona de los prudentes, el conocimiento.
19 Los malvados se postrarán ante los buenos;
los impíos, ante las puertas de los justos.
20 Al pobre hasta sus amigos lo aborrecen,
pero son muchos los que aman al rico.
21 Es un pecado despreciar al prójimo;
¡dichoso el que se compadece de los pobres!
22 Pierden el camino los que planean el mal,
pero hallan amor y verdad los que hacen el bien.
23 Todo esfuerzo tiene su recompensa,
pero quedarse en las palabras solamente, lleva a la pobreza.
24 La corona del sabio es su riqueza;
la de los necios, su necedad.
25 El testigo veraz salva vidas,
pero el testigo falso miente.
26 El temor del Señor es un baluarte seguro
que sirve de refugio a los hijos.
27 El temor del Señor es fuente de vida
y libera de los lazos de la muerte.
28 Gloria del rey es gobernar a una gran población;
un príncipe sin súbditos está arruinado.
29 El que es paciente muestra gran inteligencia;
el que es agresivo muestra mucha insensatez.

31 El que oprime al pobre ofende a su Creador,
pero honra a Dios quien se apiada del necesitado.
