11 耶和華憎惡騙人的天平，
喜愛公平的法碼。
2 傲慢帶來羞辱，
謙卑者有智慧。
3 正直人靠誠實引導，
奸詐者被奸詐毀滅。
4 在降怒之日，財富毫無益處，
唯有公義能救人免於死亡。
5 純全人行義走坦途，
惡人作惡致沉淪。
6 正直人被義行所救，
奸詐者被私慾所擄。
7 惡人一死，他的希望就破滅，
他對財勢的冀望轉眼成空。
8 義人脫離患難，
惡人落入苦難。
9 不敬虔的張口敗壞鄰舍，
義人卻因知識獲得拯救。
10 義人亨通，全城快樂；
惡人滅亡，人人歡呼。
11 城因正直人的祝福而興盛，
因惡人的口舌而傾覆。
12 無知者輕視鄰舍，

23 義人的願望結出善果，

24 有人樂善好施，反倒越來越富；
有人一毛不拔，反而越來越窮。
25 慷慨好施的必得昌盛，

26 囤糧不賣，惹人咒詛；
樂意賣糧，必蒙祝福。
27 尋求良善得恩惠，
追求罪惡遭禍患。
28 倚仗財勢者必衰敗，
義人必興旺如綠葉。
29 禍害自家，必一無所有，
愚人必做智者的僕役。
30 義人結果如生命之樹，
智者深得人心。

New King James Version
The Folly of Wickedness
2 When pride comes, then comes (B)shame;
But with the humble is wisdom.
3 The integrity of the upright will guide (C)them,
But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.
4 (D)Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
But (E)righteousness delivers from death.
5 The righteousness of the blameless will [c]direct his way aright,
But the wicked will fall by his own (F)wickedness.
6 The righteousness of the upright will deliver them,
But the unfaithful will be caught by their lust.
7 When a wicked man dies, his expectation will (G)perish,
And the hope of the unjust perishes.
8 (H)The righteous is delivered from trouble,
And it comes to the wicked instead.
9 The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor,
But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered.
10 (I)When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices;
And when the wicked perish, there is jubilation.
11 By the blessing of the upright the city is (J)exalted,
But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
12 He who [d]is devoid of wisdom despises his neighbor,
But a man of understanding holds his peace.
14 (M)Where there is no counsel, the people fall;
But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
16 A gracious woman retains honor,
But ruthless men retain riches.
17 (O)The merciful man does good for his own soul,
But he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.
18 The wicked man does deceptive work,
But (P)he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward.
19 As righteousness leads to (Q)life,
So he who pursues evil pursues it to his own (R)death.
20 Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the Lord,
But the blameless in their ways are His delight.
21 (S)Though they join [g]forces, the wicked will not go unpunished;
But (T)the posterity of the righteous will be delivered.
22 As a ring of gold in a swine’s snout,
So is a lovely woman who lacks [h]discretion.
23 The desire of the righteous is only good,
But the expectation of the wicked (U)is wrath.
24 There is one who (V)scatters, yet increases more;
And there is one who withholds more than is right,
But it leads to poverty.
25 (W)The generous soul will be made rich,
(X)And he who waters will also be watered himself.
26 The people will curse (Y)him who withholds grain,
But (Z)blessing will be on the head of him who sells it.
29 He who troubles his own house (AD)will inherit the wind,
And the fool will be (AE)servant to the wise of heart.
31 (AG)If the righteous will be [k]recompensed on the earth,
How much more the ungodly and the sinner.

11 Jehová abomina el peso falso,
pero la pesa cabal le agrada.
2 Cuando llega la soberbia, llega también la deshonra;
pero con los humildes está la sabiduría.
3 La integridad guía a los rectos,
pero a los pecadores los destruye su propia perversidad.
4 De nada servirán las riquezas en el día de la ira,
pero la justicia librará de muerte.
5 La justicia del perfecto endereza su camino,
pero el malvado caerá por su propia impiedad.
6 La justicia libra a los rectos,
pero los pecadores son atrapados en su pecado.
7 Cuando muere el hombre malvado, perece su esperanza;
la expectación de los malos perecerá.
8 El justo es librado de la tribulación,
pero su lugar lo ocupa el malvado.
9 El hipócrita, con la boca daña a su prójimo,
pero los justos se libran con la sabiduría.
10 Con el bien de los justos se alegra la ciudad,
pero cuando los malvados perecen, se hace fiesta.
11 Por la bendición de los rectos la ciudad es engrandecida,

pero el hombre prudente calla.
13 El que anda con chismes revela el secreto;
el de espíritu fiel lo guarda íntegro.
14 Donde no hay dirección sabia, el pueblo cae;
la seguridad está en los muchos consejeros.
15 La ansiedad aflige al que sale fiador de un extraño;
el que aborrece las fianzas vive seguro.
16 La mujer agraciada obtiene honores;
los fuertes obtienen riquezas.
17 A su alma hace bien el hombre misericordioso,
pero el cruel se atormenta a sí mismo.
18 El malvado obra con falsedad;
el que siembra justicia obtendrá firme galardón.
19 Como la justicia conduce a la vida,
así el que sigue el mal lo hace para su muerte.
20 Abominables son para Jehová los perversos de corazón,
pero los perfectos de camino le son agradables.
21 Tarde o temprano, el malo será castigado,
pero la descendencia de los justos se librará.
22 Como zarcillo de oro en el hocico de un cerdo
es la mujer hermosa pero falta de sentido.
23 El deseo de los justos es solamente el bien;
la esperanza de los malvados, el enojo.
24 Hay quienes reparten y les es añadido más,
y hay quienes retienen más de lo justo y acaban en la miseria.
25 El alma generosa será prosperada:
el que sacie a otros será también saciado.
26 Al que acapara el grano, el pueblo lo maldice,
pero bendición cubre la cabeza del que lo vende.
27 El que procura el bien obtendrá favor,
pero al que busca el mal, el mal le sobrevendrá.
28 El que confía en sus riquezas caerá,
pero los justos reverdecerán como el follaje.
29 El que perturba su casa heredará viento,
y el necio será siervo del sabio de corazón.
30 El fruto del justo es árbol de vida;
el que gana almas es sabio.
31 Ciertamente el justo recibe su paga en la tierra,
¡cuánto más el malvado y el pecador!
