⁴因為他們會讓你們的兒女離棄耶和華去拜其他神明，以致耶和華向你們發怒，迅速毀滅你們。 ⁵你們要拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的神柱，砍下他們的亞舍拉神像，焚燒他們的偶像。 ⁶因為你們屬於你們的上帝耶和華，是聖潔的民族，祂從天下萬族中揀選了你們做祂的子民——祂寶貴的產業。

Deuteronomy 7:4-6

New International Version

⁴for they will turn your children away from following me to serve other gods,^(A) and the Lord’s anger will burn against you and will quickly destroy^(B) you. ⁵This is what you are to do to them: Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones, cut down their Asherah poles^[a]^(C) and burn their idols in the fire.^(D) ⁶For you are a people holy^(E) to the Lord your God.^(F) The Lord your God has chosen^(G) you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.^(H)
