24 因为耶和华—你的 神是吞灭的火，是忌邪[a]的 神。
25 “你们在那地住久了，生子生孙，若行为败坏，为自己雕刻任何形状的偶像，行耶和华—你 神眼中看为恶的事，惹他发怒， 26 我今日呼天唤地向你们作见证，你们在过约旦河得为业的地上必迅速灭亡！你们在那地的日子必不长久，必全然灭绝。

24 For (A)the Lord your God is a consuming fire, (B)a jealous God.
25 “When you beget children and grandchildren and have grown old in the land, and act corruptly and make a carved image in the form of anything, and (C)do evil in the sight of the Lord your God to provoke Him to anger, 26 (D)I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you will soon utterly perish from the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess; you will not [a]prolong your days in it, but will be utterly destroyed.

24 For the Lord your God is a consuming fire,(A) a jealous God.(B)
25 After you have had children and grandchildren and have lived in the land a long time—if you then become corrupt(C) and make any kind of idol,(D) doing evil(E) in the eyes of the Lord your God and arousing his anger, 26 I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses(F) against you(G) this day that you will quickly perish(H) from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess. You will not live there long but will certainly be destroyed.
