10 “那時，耶和華對我說：‘你要鑿出兩塊石版，和先前的一樣，然後上山到我這裡來；又要做一個木櫃。 2 我要把你摔碎的先前那兩塊版上的話，寫在這兩塊版上；你要把它們放在櫃中。’ 3 於是我用皂莢木做了一個櫃，又鑿出了兩塊石版，和先前的一樣；然後我手裡拿著這兩塊石版，上山去了。 4 耶和華把先前所寫的，就是在集會的日子，在山上從火中告訴你們的十誡，都寫在這兩塊版上；耶和華把石版交給了我。 5 於是我轉身從山上下來，把石版放在我所做的櫃中，照著耶和華吩咐我的，現在石版還放在那裡。
6 “以色列人從比羅比尼．亞干起程，到了摩西拉。亞倫在那裡死了，也埋葬在那裡；他的兒子以利亞撒接替他供祭司的職分。 7 他們從那裡起程，到了谷歌大，又從谷歌大到約巴他，就是多溪水的地。 8 那時，耶和華把利未支派分別出來，叫他們抬耶和華的約櫃，侍立在耶和華面前事奉他，並且奉他的名祝福，直到今日。 9 所以利未人在兄弟中無分無業；照著耶和華你的 神應許他的，耶和華自己就是他的產業。

12 “以色列啊，現在耶和華你的 神向你要的是甚麼呢？只要你敬畏耶和華你的 神，行在他的一切道路上，愛他，一心一意事奉耶和華你的 神， 13 遵守耶和華的誡命和律例，就是我今日吩咐你的，為要叫你得福。 14 看哪，天和天上的天，地和地上的一切都是屬於耶和華你的 神的。 15 但耶和華只喜悅你的列祖，愛他們；他從萬民中揀選了他們的後裔，就是你們，像今日一樣。 16 所以你們要給你們的心行割禮，不可再頑固。 17 因為耶和華你們的 神，他是萬神之神、萬主之主、偉大有力和可畏的 神；他不徇情面，也不受賄賂。 18 他為孤兒寡婦伸張正義，又把衣食給寄居的人。 19 所以你們要愛寄居的人，因為你們在埃及地也作過寄居的人。 20 你要敬畏耶和華你的 神，事奉他，依靠他，奉他的名起誓。 21 他是你當頌讚的；他是你的 神，他為你作了那些大而可畏的事，就是你親眼見過的。 22 你的列祖下到埃及的時候，一共不過七十人，現在耶和華你的 神卻使你的人數像天上的星那麼多了。”

New tablets
10 At that time the Lord told me: Carve two stone tablets, just like the first ones, and hike up the mountain to me. Construct a wooden chest as well. 2 I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets—the ones you smashed—then you will place them in the chest.
3 So I built a chest out of acacia wood and carved two stone tablets just like the first ones. Then I hiked up the mountain holding the two tablets in my hands. 4 God wrote on the new tablets what had been written on the first set: the Ten Commandments that the Lord spoke to you on the mountain, from the very fire itself, on the day we assembled there. Then the Lord gave them to me.
5 So I came back down the mountain. I put the tablets in the chest that I’d made, and that’s where they are now, exactly as the Lord commanded me.
(6 Now, the Israelites had set out from Beeroth-bene-jaakan[a] to Moserah. It was there that Aaron died and was buried. His son Eleazar succeeded him in the priestly role. 7 From there the Israelites traveled to Gudgodah, then from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, which is a land with flowing streams. 8 At that time, the Lord selected the tribe of Levi to carry the chest containing the Lord’s covenant, to minister before the Lord, to serve him, and to offer blessings in his name. That’s the way things are right now. 9 That’s why the Levites don’t have a stake or inheritance with the rest of their relatives. The Lord is the Levites’ inheritance, just as the Lord your God promised them.)
10 Just as the first time, I remained on the mountain forty days and nights. And the Lord listened to me again in this instance. The Lord wasn’t willing to destroy you. 11 Then the Lord told me: Get going. Lead the people so they can enter and take possession of the land that I promised I’d give to their ancestors.
What the Lord requires
12 Now in light of all that, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you? Only this: to revere the Lord your God by walking in all his ways, by loving him, by serving the Lord your God with all your heart and being, 13 and by keeping the Lord’s commandments and his regulations that I’m commanding you right now. It’s for your own good!
14 Clearly, the Lord owns the sky, the highest heavens, the earth, and everything in it. 15 But the Lord adored your ancestors, loving them and choosing the descendants that followed them—you!—from all other people. That’s how things still stand now. 16 So circumcise your hearts[b] and stop being so stubborn, 17 because the Lord your God is the God of all gods and Lord of all lords, the great, mighty, and awesome God who doesn’t play favorites and doesn’t take bribes. 18 He enacts justice for orphans and widows, and he loves immigrants, giving them food and clothing. 19 That means you must also love immigrants because you were immigrants in Egypt. 20 Revere the Lord your God, serve him, cling to him, swear by his name alone! 21 He is your praise, and he is your God—the one who performed these great and awesome acts that you witnessed with your very own eyes. 22 Your ancestors went down to Egypt with a total of seventy people, but now look! The Lord your God has made you as numerous as the stars in the nighttime sky!

10 En aquel tiempo el Señor me dijo: «Lábrate dos tablas de piedra como las anteriores(A), y sube a mí al monte, y hazte un arca de madera(B). 2 Y yo escribiré sobre las tablas las palabras que estaban sobre las primeras tablas que quebraste(C), y las pondrás en el arca(D)». 3 Hice, pues, un arca de madera de acacia(E) y labré dos tablas de piedra como las anteriores, y subí al monte con las dos tablas en mi mano(F). 4 Y Él escribió sobre las tablas, conforme a la escritura anterior, los diez mandamientos[a](G) que el Señor os había hablado(H) en el monte de en medio del fuego el día de la asamblea(I); y el Señor me las dio. 5 Entonces me volví y descendí del monte(J), y puse las tablas en el arca(K) que yo había hecho; y allí están tal como el Señor me ordenó(L).
6 (Después los hijos de Israel partieron de Beerot-bene-jaacán[b] hacia Mosera(M). Allí murió Aarón y allí fue sepultado, y su hijo Eleazar ministró como sacerdote en su lugar(N). 7 De allí partieron hacia Gudgoda; y de Gudgoda hacia Jotbata(O), una tierra de corrientes de aguas. 8 En aquel tiempo el Señor apartó la tribu de Leví(P) para que llevara el arca del pacto del Señor, y para que estuviera delante del Señor, sirviéndole y bendiciendo en su nombre hasta el día de hoy(Q). 9 Por tanto, Leví no tiene porción o herencia con sus hermanos; el Señor es su herencia, así como el Señor tu Dios le habló(R).)
10 Y me quedé en el monte cuarenta días y cuarenta noches como la primera vez, y el Señor me escuchó también esta vez; y el Señor no quiso destruirte(S). 11 Entonces me dijo el Señor: «Levántate, continúa tu marcha al frente del pueblo, para que entren y tomen posesión de la tierra que yo juré a sus padres que les daría».
Lo que Dios requiere
12 Y ahora, Israel, ¿qué requiere de ti el Señor tu Dios, sino que temas[c] al Señor tu Dios, que andes en todos sus caminos(T), que le ames y que sirvas al Señor tu Dios(U) con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma(V), 13 y que guardes los mandamientos del Señor y sus estatutos que yo te ordeno hoy para tu bien? 14 He aquí, al Señor tu Dios pertenecen los cielos y los cielos de los cielos(W), la tierra y todo lo que en ella hay(X). 15 Sin embargo, el Señor se agradó de tus padres, los amó, y escogió a su descendencia[d](Y) después de ellos, es decir, a vosotros, de entre todos los pueblos, como se ve hoy. 16 Circuncidad, pues, vuestro corazón[e](Z), y no endurezcáis más vuestra cerviz(AA). 17 Porque el Señor vuestro Dios es Dios de dioses(AB) y Señor de señores(AC), Dios grande, poderoso y temible que no hace acepción de personas(AD) ni acepta soborno(AE). 18 Él hace justicia al huérfano y a la viuda(AF), y muestra su amor al extranjero[f] dándole pan y vestido. 19 Mostrad, pues, amor al extranjero, porque vosotros fuisteis extranjeros en la tierra de Egipto(AG). 20 Temerás al Señor tu Dios; le servirás, te allegarás[g] a Él(AH) y solo en su nombre jurarás(AI). 21 Él es el objeto de tu alabanza y Él es tu Dios(AJ), que ha hecho por ti estas cosas grandes y portentosas que tus ojos han visto. 22 Cuando tus padres descendieron a Egipto eran setenta personas(AK), y ahora el Señor tu Dios te ha hecho tan numeroso como las estrellas del cielo(AL).
