22 「如果你們看見同胞的牛或羊走迷了路，不可視而不見，要把牠帶回去交給主人。 2 如果主人離你們很遠，或者你們不知道主人是誰，就要把牠牽回家，等主人來找時再還給主人。 3 見到同胞遺失的驢、衣物或其他東西，都要這樣處理，不可視而不見。 4 如果在路上看見同胞的牛或驢倒在地上，不可視而不見，要幫忙把牠扶起來。
5 「女人不可穿戴男人的衣物，男人也不可穿戴女人的衣物，因為這是你們的上帝耶和華所憎惡的。
6 「如果你們在路邊、樹上或地上看見鳥巢，裡面有雛鳥或蛋，並有母鳥伏在上面，不可把母鳥和雛鳥一起取走。 7 你們可以取走雛鳥，但要放走母鳥。這樣，你們就會凡事順利，得享長壽。
8 「建造新房時，要在房頂[a]上安設圍欄，免得有人從房頂上掉下來，由你們承擔流血之罪。
9 「你們不可在葡萄園裡種別的作物，否則你們的收成和園中的果子都要充公。 10 不可讓牛和驢同負一軛耕地。 11 不可穿由羊毛和細麻合織的衣物。
12 「要在外袍的四角綴上穗子。
有關女子貞操的條例
13 「如果有人娶了妻子，與她同房後卻不喜歡她， 14 誹謗她，說，『我娶她時，發現她已經不是處女』， 15 女方父母就要把憑據拿到城門口的長老們面前，證明女兒的貞潔。 16 女方的父親要對他們說，『我把女兒嫁給這個人，現在他不喜歡我女兒， 17 誹謗她，聲稱她結婚時已經不是處女，但這裡有我女兒貞潔的憑據。』女方父母要把女兒新婚之夜用過的床單在長老們面前展開。 18 長老們就必須抓住那人懲處他， 19 罰他賠償一公斤銀子給女方的父親，因為他誹謗了一個以色列的處女。那女子仍要做他妻子，丈夫終生不可休她。
20 「但如果那人的指控屬實，沒有找到那女子貞潔的憑據， 21 就要把她帶到她父親的家門前，由本城的人用石頭打死她。因為她婚前淫亂，在以色列做了可恥的事。你們必須除掉你們中間的罪惡。
22 「如果有人與有夫之婦通姦，必須處死姦夫和淫婦，這樣就從以色列除掉了罪惡。
23 「如果有人在城中遇見已經訂婚的女子，與她行淫， 24 你們必須把二人帶到城門口，用石頭打死他們。那女子該死，因為她在城中卻沒有高聲呼救；那男子該死，因為他姦污了別人的妻子。你們必須除去你們中間的罪惡。
25 「如果有人在野外遇見已經訂婚的女子，強姦了她，必須處死那男子。 26 但不可處死那女子，因為她沒有犯該死的罪，她像被攻擊、殺害的人一樣是無辜的。 27 因為她是在野外被強姦，即使喊叫也無人救她。
28 「如果有人強姦了未訂婚的處女，被抓住後， 29 這人要付給女方的父親六百克銀子，並娶她為妻，終生不可休她，因為他姦污了她。
30 「人不可娶他父親的妻妾，因為這是對他父親的羞辱。

22 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.
2 And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.
3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.
4 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.
5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.
6 If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:
7 But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.
8 When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.
9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.
10 Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.
11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.
12 Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.
13 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,
14 And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:
15 Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:
16 And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;
17 And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
18 And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;
19 And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.
20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:
21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.
22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.
26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
27 For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.
28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
30 A man shall not take his father's wife, nor discover his father's skirt.

Caring for Your Brother’s Property
22 “If you see your brother Israelite’s ox or sheep straying, do not ignore it; make sure you return it to your brother. 2 If your brother does not live near you or you don’t know him, you are to bring the animal to your home to remain with you until your brother comes looking for it; then you can return it to him. 3 Do the same for his donkey, his garment, or anything your brother has lost and you have found. You must not ignore it.(A) 4 If you see your brother’s donkey or ox fallen down on the road, do not ignore it; help him lift it up.
Preserving Natural Distinctions
5 “A woman is not to wear male clothing, and a man is not to put on a woman’s garment, for everyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord your God.
6 “If you come across a bird’s nest with chicks or eggs, either in a tree or on the ground along the road, and the mother is sitting on the chicks or eggs, do not take the mother along with the young. 7 You may take the young for yourself, but be sure to let the mother go free, so that you may prosper and live long. 8 If you build a new house, make a railing around your roof, so that you don’t bring bloodguilt on your house if someone falls from it. 9 Do not plant your vineyard with two types of seed; otherwise, the entire harvest, both the crop you plant and the produce of the vineyard, will be defiled. 10 Do not plow with an ox and a donkey together. 11 Do not wear clothes made of both wool and linen.(B) 12 Make tassels on the four corners of the outer garment you wear.(C)
Violations of Proper Sexual Conduct
13 “If a man marries a woman, has sexual relations with her, and comes to hate her, 14 and accuses her of shameful conduct, and gives her a bad name, saying, ‘I married this woman and was intimate with her, but I didn’t find any evidence of her virginity,’ 15 the young woman’s father and mother will take the evidence of her virginity and bring it to the city elders at the city gate.(D) 16 The young woman’s father will say to the elders, ‘I gave my daughter to this man as a wife, but he hates her. 17 He has accused her of shameful conduct, saying, “I didn’t find any evidence of your daughter’s virginity,” but here is the evidence of my daughter’s virginity.’ They will spread out the cloth before the city elders. 18 Then the elders of that city will take the man and punish him.(E) 19 They will also fine him a hundred silver shekels and give them to the young woman’s father, because that man gave an Israelite virgin a bad name. She will remain his wife; he cannot divorce her as long as he lives. 20 But if this accusation is true and no evidence of the young woman’s virginity is found, 21 they will bring the woman to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city will stone her to death. For she has committed an outrage in Israel by being promiscuous while living in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from you.
22 “If a man is discovered having sexual relations with another man’s wife, both the man who had sex with the woman and the woman must die. You must purge the evil from Israel. 23 If there is a young woman who is a virgin engaged to a man, and another man encounters her in the city and sleeps with her, 24 take the two of them out to the gate of that city and stone them to death—the young woman because she did not cry out in the city and the man because he has violated his neighbor’s fiancée. You must purge the evil from you. 25 But if the man encounters an engaged woman in the open country, and he seizes and rapes her, only the man who raped her must die. 26 Do nothing to the young woman, because she is not guilty of an offense deserving death. This case is just like one in which a man attacks his neighbor and murders him. 27 When he found her in the field, the engaged woman cried out, but there was no one to rescue her. 28 If a man encounters a young woman, a virgin who is not engaged, takes hold of her and rapes her, and they are discovered, 29 the man who raped her is to give the young woman’s father fifty silver shekels, and she will become his wife because he violated her.(F) He cannot divorce her as long as he lives.
30 “A man is not to marry his father’s wife; he must not violate his father’s marriage bed.[a](G)

5 “A man’s apparel is not to be on a woman, nor is a man to wear woman’s clothing—for whoever does these things is detestable to Adonai your God.
6 “If there happens to be a bird’s nest in front of you along the road, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs and the hen sitting on the young or on the eggs, you are not to take the hen with the young. 7 You must certainly let the hen go, but the young you may take for yourself so that it may go well with you and you may prolong your days.
8 “When you build a new house, you are to make a guardrail for your roof, so that you do not bring the guilt of blood on your house if anyone falls from it.
9 “You are not to plant your vineyard with two kinds of seed, or else the whole harvest will be forfeited[b]—both the seed you plant and the produce of the vineyard. 10 You are not to plow with an ox and a donkey together. 11 You are not to wear a woven mixture[c], wool and linen together. 12 You are to make for yourself twisted threads[d] on the four corners of your garment in which you cover yourself.
13 “Suppose a man takes a wife and goes t0 her and then dislikes her, 14 accuses her of shameful things and gives her a bad reputation by saying, ‘I took this woman, but when I came near her, I didn’t find her virginity.’ 15 Then the father of the young woman is to take her and her mother is to bring out the signs of the young woman’s virginity to the city elders at the gate. 16 The young lady’s father is to tell the elders, ‘I gave my daughter to this man as a wife, but he hates her. 17 Indeed, he has accused her of shameful things, saying, “I didn’t find your daughter’s virginity.” Yet these are the signs of my daughter’s virginity.’ They are to spread the wedding cloth before the elders of the city. 18 The elders of that city are to take the man and punish him. 19 Then they are to fine him 100 pieces of silver and give them to the father of the young woman, because he has brought an evil name on a virgin of Israel. Then she is to be his wife—he may not send her away all his days.
20 “But if this thing is true—that the signs of virginity were not found in the young lady— 21 then they are to bring the young woman out to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city are to stone her with stones to death, because she has done a disgraceful thing in Israel, to behave like a prostitute in her father’s house. So you are to purge the evil from your midst.
22 “Suppose a man is found lying with a married woman. Then both of them are to die—the man who lay with the woman and the woman. So you are to purge the evil from Israel.
23 “Suppose there is a young woman who is a virgin engaged to a man, and another man finds her in the city and lies with her. 24 Then you are to bring them both out to the gate of that city and stone them with stones to death—the young woman because she did not cry out in the town, and the man because he humiliated his neighbor’s wife. So you are to purge the evil from your midst.
25 “But if the man finds the engaged woman in the field, and the man forces her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her is to die. 26 But to the young woman you are to do nothing—there is no sin in the young woman deserving of death. For this matter is the same as when a man rises against his neighbor and kills him— 27 for he found her in the field, the engaged woman cried out, and there was no one to save her.
28 “Suppose a man finds a young virgin who is not engaged, grabs her and lies with her, and they are discovered. 29 Then the man who lay with her is to give to the young woman’s father 50 pieces of silver, and she is to be his wife, since he has humiliated her—he may not send her away all his days.
