耶和華的日子
4 「萬軍之耶和華說，『那日要來臨了，就像燒紅的火爐，所有狂妄自大、作惡多端的人都要像碎稭一樣被火燒盡，連根帶枝，蕩然無存。 2 但必有公義的太陽為你們這些敬畏我名的人升起，它的光芒有醫治的能力。你們必像欄中出來的牛犢一樣歡欣跳躍。 3 到我所定的日子，你們必踐踏惡人，他們必成為你們腳下的塵土。』這是萬軍之耶和華說的。
4 「你們要記住我僕人摩西的律法，就是我在何烈山藉著他傳給以色列人的律例和典章。
5 「看啊，在耶和華那偉大而可畏的日子來臨以前，我必差遣以利亞先知到你們那裡。 6 他必使父親的心轉向兒女，兒女的心轉向父親，免得我來用咒詛毀滅這地方。」

4 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.
4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Domens dag
4 Lyssna! säger härskarornas Gud. Domens dag kommer, och den är som en brinnande ugn. De stolta och de ogudaktiga ska brinna upp som halm, de ska brinna upp som träd med rot och allt.
2 Men för er som fruktar mitt namn ska rättfärdighetens sol gå upp med läkedom under sina vingar. Ni ska bli fria och hoppa av glädje, som kalvar på grönbete.
3 Då ska ni trampa de ogudaktiga som aska under fötterna, säger härskarornas Gud.
4 Kom ihåg att lyda de lagar jag gav er genom min tjänare Mose på berget Horeb.
5 Jag ska sända en annan profet, som är lik Elia, innan Herrens dag kommer med sin fruktansvärda dom.
6 Det han predikar ska föra föräldrar och barn tillsammans igen, så att de blir ett hjärta och en själ. De ska förstå att om de inte gör bättring så ska jag komma och fullkomligt förstöra deras land.
