⁹因此，我也使你們在眾人面前被藐視、受輕看，因為你們不遵守我的道，在律法上徇人的情面。”

猶大人不忠不貞

¹⁰我們不是同有一位父嗎？不是同一位　神創造我們嗎？為甚麼我們各人對自己的兄弟不忠，褻瀆我們列祖的約呢？ ¹¹猶大人行了詭詐，在以色列和耶路撒冷中作了可憎的事；因為猶大人褻瀆耶和華所愛的聖所，娶了事奉外族神的女子為妻。

Malachi 2:9-11

⁹“So I have caused you to be despised^(A) and humiliated^(B) before all the people, because you have not followed my ways but have shown partiality^(C) in matters of the law.”^(D)

Breaking Covenant Through Divorce

¹⁰Do we not all have one Father^[a]?^(E) Did not one God create us?^(F) Why do we profane the covenant^(G) of our ancestors by being unfaithful^(H) to one another?

¹¹Judah has been unfaithful. A detestable^(I) thing has been committed in Israel and in Jerusalem: Judah has desecrated the sanctuary the Lord loves^(J) by marrying^(K) women who worship a foreign god.^(L)
